No, we should just deal with his inconsistencies in hopes that he improves at play calling and being a head coach during the game. It'll be worth the payoff if it works out, since then losing an OC wouldn't be so penalizing for us.
Pretty darn good trade for us in hindsight, had some short term issues for a while there esp with Coker immediately getting injured after the trade. But it worked out for the best.
You have to pick up the option for too many reasons:
1) There isn’t an obvious plan B right now
2) He just played well in a home playoff game
3) it financially makes sense
4) we need to allocate resources elsewhere ( defense)
