  1. Which circles us back to the issue of their not being a Cam in this draft class, but there certainly looks to be Gabberts and Lockers.
  2. The LB group was one of the major question marks going into the season, but there are even bigger question marks next season when the team is sure to make Shaq Thompson a cap casualty ($11M in dead cap, but $13M freed up). That leaves the team with Frankie Luvu, Damien Wilson, and Brandon Smith as the only LBs remaining on the roster. Fortunately, there's a lot of veteran LBs set to be on the market in the offseason. Lavonte David, Kyle Van Noy, Denzel Perryman, Cory Littleton, Kwon Alexander, DEion Jones, Alex Anzalone, Raekwon McMillan, Leighton Vander Esch, and Roquan Smith are all potential free agents. This upcoming draft class is also quite talented at LB as well. Some of the current prospects of interest include: Jack Campbell (Iowa) Ivan Pace Jr (Cincinnati) Henry To'oTo'o (Alabama) Daiyan Henley (Washington State) Drew Sanders (Arkansas) Trenton Simpson (Clemson) Noah Sewell (Oregon) Justin Flowe (Oregon) Owen Pappoe (Auburn) Cedric Gray (UNC) What are some of your solutions to the potential problem at LB next season?
  3. I think that the biggest bang for buck will be trading down. The best QB in this draft is 5'10" 190lbs. Even with a solid OL, that's going to be a big point of concern (especially for a team that's had injuries rack up at the QB position). If the team moved on from Burns, then yea go get Anderson but unless the team is looking to move to a 3-4 base I don't see it being a good fit. With all of the clamoring over the importance of picks for rebuilding after Burns wasn't traded, the lack of a clear #1 franchise QB, and the #1 player basically being a copy of our current premiere pass rusher, making a trade similar to what was made for Trey Lance would net the team those beloved draft picks and give the coach that "free year" with Matt Corral at QB to see what he's got (he'd be in the discussion for QB1 in this year's draft if he stayed for his Sr year). If he's ass trash, then there's ammo to move up to #1 for Drake Maye
  4. So for an immediate 2nd the team loses their current leader in sacks, TFLs, and QB hits? Then two future firsts so that they can wait another season to potentially trade up for a QB? No thank you. No head coach worth their pay wants to come to a team with no players and a bunch of lotto tickets.
  5. What good are those picks when we aren't going to get to use them for years? The Jets picked in the top 10 for the last 6yrs (once @ #11). Are you suggesting that the Panthers do the same in order to be able to use those picks from the Rams and have a 6-3 record? That's insane.
  6. Jags, Jets, and Lions have been drafting in the top 10 since the Panthers last had a winning record. You can sell your house and use all of the money on Powerball tickets if you want, but that doesn't make it any less foolish.
  7. Getting rid of two of the best players on the roster (one of them with a team friendly deal that's already been signed) at two of the most important positions in today's game for lotto tickets is silly and self destructive. Going to be hard enough getting a quality HC. Last thing the team needs to do is make it even harder by having nobody on the roster. Plus... the Rams? We're mad that we didn't trade for a 2030 & 2031 1st?
  8. I wouldn't mind trading back for both of Seattle's 2023 1sts, one of their two 2nds, and their 2024 1st...
  9. I liked Aqeel Glass as a day 3 pick-up... Now to wait and see if my current draft crush Max Duggan is gonna end up like Aqeel Glass or Tyler Linderbaum
  10. Pickett, Willis, Ridder, Corral, and Howell were all being mocked in the first before going where they went in the draft. I don't think that you can hold being drafted in the 3rd round against him, especially given that he would likely be discussed as the #1 QB in this current draft class. Going back and watching Corral vs Young & Hooker in 2021 was fairly eye opening.
  11. I'm all in with rolling with Corral next season for a multitude of reasons including if he sucks then the team has to throw everything, kitchen sink included, at being in position to draft Draft Maye.
  12. Updated: 1. Matt Corral (Ole Miss) 2. Bryce Young (Alabama) 3. Will Levis (Kentucky) 4. CJ Stroud (Ohio State) 5. Anthony Richardson (Florida) 6. Max Duggan (TCU) 7. Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina) 8. Hendon Hooker (Tennessee) 9. KJ Jefferson (Arkansas) 10. Bo Nix (Oregon) 11. Tyler Van Dyke (Miami) 12. Michael Penix Jr (Washington) 13. Jaren Hall (BYU) 14. Dorian Thompson-Robinson (UCLA) 15. Tanner McKee (Stanford) 16. Cameron Rising (Utah)
  13. Even with those glasses, if you look at his performance in 2021 and compare it to QBs this season (as well as last season if you want to compare his film to the current top 3 when they were all playing), it's hard not to want to roll with him like you said. The dude would be the #1 QB this year if he had gone back to school. tbh, idk how anybody could watch the Tennessee game and come away thinking that it was on Levis. The team was down 30-6 and his OC called run-run-pass-punt. What did concern me about that game though was how Levis struggled to do too much. He's been let down by his team all season (omg the drops), but what's been especially troubling is how he didn't elevate the guys around him. With that said, he is the most "pro-ready, prototypical" QB. Runs an pro-style offense from under center that's a derivative of the Shanahan-offense, big body with a big arm, tough, etc... but is he a leader of men? He plays hurt, but does he inspire the team around him? I haven't seen that. Hard to argue against the fact that you could draft him late in the 1st and have a solid game manager to pilot a team. I don't see any guys in this draft that are top 5. Bryce Young's durability concerns alone push him down to the #15 range imo, and that's if a team is okay with letting him sit, learn, and bulk up for a year. Levis I can see being a late 1st like Pickett with the same issues: can distribute the rock but isn't going to take over games too often. Stroud I see as a 2nd round guy: either he develops and you roll with him, or he doesn't and you hit reset. Even though I'm the conductor of the Duggan hypetrain, I wouldn't touch him until the 4th round at the earliest. Would be a great day 3 pick-up to have as a developmental option behind Corral as they have similar playstyles, but I think our best bet is Matt.
  14. If things hold and the Panthers are picking at #3, I can see Young/Levis going 1/2 to DET + HOU. Seattle is the next closest team to being in the market for a QB, and with the current #8 + #20 picks they could be a prime trade partner. Grabbing a top 10 + top 20 guy to come in and start at two spots would be a huge boost.
  15. 1. Bryce Young (Alabama) 2. Will Levis (Kentucky) 3. CJ Stroud (Ohio State) 4. Anthony Richardson (Florida) 5. Max Duggan (TCU) 6. Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina) 7. Hendon Hooker (Tennessee) 8. KJ Jefferson (Arkansas) 9. Bo Nix (Oregon) 10. Tyler Van Dyke (Miami) 11. Michael Penix Jr (Washington) 12. Jaren Hall (BYU) 13. Dorian Thompson-Robinson (UCLA) 14. Tanner McKee (Stanford) 15. Cameron Rising (Utah) I've got to watch games still for the guys outside of the top 7, but I'll also say that if Matt Corral were in this draft class based on his 2021 game film alone I'd have him as QB1 on that list. For those interested in games watched so far: Bryce Young vs. Texas, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, Ole Miss 2021 CJ Stroud vs. Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State Will Levis vs. Florida, Ole Miss, Tennessee Max Duggan vs. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Kansas, West Virginia Hendon Hooker vs. Alabama, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss 2021 Dorian Thompson-Robinson vs. Washington, Utah, Oregon, Stanford Grayson McCall vs. Marshall, Old Dominion, Georgia Southern Anthony Richardson vs. Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Utah KJ Jefferson vs. Ole Miss 2021, BYU, South Carolina, Texas A&M Bo Nix vs. Georgia, BYU, Stanford, UCLA Tyler Van Dyke vs. UNC, Texas A&M, Middle Tennessee Jaren Hall vs. Oregon, Notre Dame, Arkansas Tanner McKee vs. UCLA, Oregon, USC, Washington Cameron Rising vs. UCLA, Florida, USC Michael Penix Jr vs. Stanford, UCLA, California Matt Corral vs. LSU, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee (all 2021)
  16. The offense is in an awkward position because all of their potential needs could be taken care of. Center and RB could be shored up by retaining Bozeman and Foreman. Needs at wide receiver, tight end, and OL depth could satisfied if TMJ, Shi, Tremble, and/or Mays develop. On the other hand, the defense has seven returning starters next year but could use some depth at all levels. The team needs a starting LE, MLB, and NB. I don't see Henderson and Gross-Matos growing into two of their roles outside of being what they are. Lots of questions at the moment, but thankfully we've got a lot of football left to evaluate.
  17. If we didn't already have Matt Corral, I would be all in on Max Duggan. Dude can play. If he can be coached up to handle pressure better, folks would be talking about him in the same breath as Stroud. He's got a laser for an arm and has a second gear that he hits on the run. Plays with confidence as well. But... after all of the games that I've watched, it's clear that Matt Corral would be one of the top prospects this year if he had stayed at Ole Miss. I am, however, all in on Quenton Johnston.
  18. 1. Matt Corral (Ole Miss) 2. Bryce Young (Alabama) 3. Will Levis (Kentucky) 4. CJ Stroud (Ohio State) 5. Anthony Richardson (Florida) 6. Max Duggan (TCU) 7. Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina) 8. Hendon Hooker (Tennessee) 9. Bo Nix (Oregon) 10. Tyler Van Dyke (Miami) 11. Michael Penix Jr (Washington) 12. Jaren Hall (BYU) 13. Dorian Thompson-Robinson (UCLA) 14. Tanner McKee (Stanford) 15. Cameron Rising (Utah) Need to watch more games for the guys outside of the top 8, but after watching a dumb amount of football over the last month I'm all in on Corral for next year. Baker and PJ will want to start next year as well, but if either of them are still available and willing to return as a back-up/mentor to Corral that'd be awesome. Would give the team the chance to pick up a blue chip prospect or even allow them to trade down to accumulate some more picks in the top 50 (omg pls get TCU WR Quenton Johnston). Going to be a stressful time evaluating these guys and wondering what they have with Matt. Glad that ain't my job.
  19. He is most certainly the best runner of this group. The only comparable runner is Max Duggan, but as much as I'm going to be overhyping Duggan he does break down tremendously under pressure while Corral seems to feed off of it. His ability as a runner makes me even more enthusiastic about the team's redzone potential with him at the helm. If Wilks or the next head coach opt to go a route similar to Daboll and Jones, we could see Corral get his shot at being the guy with the understanding that the team is going to throw the house at getting their favorite prospect in 2024 if he doesn't perform. Or they could decide that the team would be better off with Bryce Young at the helm.
  20. Been curious where Corral lines up as I've been doing my armchair scouting. I've got his game vs Bama last year to watch still and a few other games, but I'm starting to become a believer that Matt Corral would be QB1 in this draft class...
  21. There's plenty of room on the Max Duggan hype train despite all of the hookers and drugs we loaded up on.
  22. Just saw that I butchered the links/timestamps, so I'm just gonna put the game here and put the timestamps below: Beautiful back shoulder TD (5:18) Gotta go fast (26:00) Great ball placement to convert on 3rd (47:25) That fake pitch tho (1:32:55) Got down too early, but clearly has a second gear that he can hit (1:46:50)
  23. Some Max Duggan highlights... vs. Oklahoma Beautiful back shoulder TD Gotta go fast Great ball placement to convert on 3rd That fake pitch tho Got down too early, but clearly has a second gear that he can hit I'll try and go through the other games I've watched vs Kansas State and Oklahoma State to grab some other highlights. Another flaw that I noticed while pulling these that Duggan does have the occasional "Who the Hell were you throwing it to? A fuging giant?" moments. @ForJimmy
