Not sure who Lombardi spoke with that said Stroud was hard to coach, but I just don't see it. I've watched every game of his this past season and there's been nothing on the field nor sidelines to show that he's hard to coach. I got the opposite impression, that he's easy to coach and work with. The next cpl of wks are going to be draining... but the draft will be here soon!!!

Excited for Bryce or CJ. I'd prefer Bryce because of how much better he handles pressure and how he processes the field.

Were there any position groups that you believe will be especially deep when the #39 selection is on the clock? iirc you've mentioned the EDGE guys and CBs being deep this year?

Have you gotten a chance to look at The Beast 2023 (Brugler's write-up)? Were there any prospects that you were surprised to see that he was high on that you aren't or that you're high on that he wasn't?

Nick Hampton was popping up on stat sheets all year and Byron Young looked impressive at the combine. I'm a Clemson fan and have been high on KJ Henry all season. He was the definition of "do your job." With the move to a 3-4 I'm not so certain now, but I like him over YGM at least? Williams had a rough season it seemed, but man did Rush come on

I really, really like his tape and how he was putting up stats consistently throughout the year. There's def valid concern over size, but to me a guy that can produce like that still at worst is going to be a special teams monster coupled with being a reliable back-up. Daiyan Henley, Ivan Pace Jr, Jack Campbell, Nick Hampton, and Nick Herbig are my favourite LBs in this draft class. Not necessarily the best LBs, just the ones that I enjoyed the most while armchair scouting during/after the season and think that they've got a chance in the pros. I wanted to like Drew Sanders but the more I watched the more disappointed I was.

Can't wait until the draft gets here. Looking at most things we have heard, Stroud seems to be the perfect fit but then we hear about the emphasis on intelligence, calm under pressure, leadership and we are then left thinking, "Well poo... could it be Young?" Got to say, after the previous regime having more leaks than the Titanic that it's nice to not know what's going on. Finally, some professionals handling business.

This reminds me so much of the Gross transformation and really shows the work that these guys are having to do just to physically keep up in the league.

To avoid the typical Young/Stroud debate route where I point at the difference on the game tape and you point at the difference on the measuring tape, I'll just say that I think he'd fit the Ted LB role in the 3-4 very well and that would also protect any concerns over length + speed. He has the strength and intelligence to thrive in the role and be an outstanding on ST. But if we are talking about who has the best film of the 3, it isn't even close: it's Pace. Given just Sanders or Campbell tho: Campbell

Was not impressed with Drew Sanders. Thought he missed a lot of tackles and got dragged a lot when trying to wrap up. I like Jack Campbell based on measurables alone. He looked good in the Iowa defense. I prefer Ivan Pace Jr over both of them tho!

As long as it's Young or Stroud, I'm good. If it's AR or Levis, I would have rathered moved up just to #3 and kept DJ. I'm still good, but just finding it hard to not nitpick about that.

It also gets them in the building and you get to see how they interact with other folks that might not be a part of the scouting process.

I am genuinely impressed that there was mostly civil exchanges of opinions about Young and Stroud for most of the thread. Bravo, Huddle. Bravo.

Before reading page 2 and beyond, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there are three posters in this thread: Folks that are good with either QB (I see y'all, and I appreciate you <3) Folks that are fans of Stroud that will immediately attack the content creator, Young's size, or fans of Young Folks that are fans of Young that will respond to the Stroud fans and keep the cycle of screaming endlessly into the void going Can't wait to see if I'm right

Live games on Paramount were unwatchable for us. Audio and video would desync to the point where audio was nearly 2min ahead. The only way we'd be able to watch a game is by watching a pirated stream.

No doubt. The story reminds me of how Hurney couldn't explain the state of the team to Richardson and was ultimately fired. The way that I read the recent situation(s), Ron sounds like he's learned that he had better be able to sell his vision along with measurable, obtainable steps to get there. Hopefully that vision requires not sacrificing a QB to the football gods like he's done in the past.

Sounds like it wasn't so much Rivera that didn't mesh, but that he wasn't able to communicate a detail-oriented vision of the team's future.
