  1. This is what I'm thinking as well. It's also a good way to settle sore feelings (Corral) or see if they need to play it safe going into the season (Young). Unless Frank pulls a Rhule and decides that Dalton has to compete with another FA he randomly wants.
  2. Looks like he was on the Colts' PS in 2021 or at least with them going into the preseason, so Reich has some familiarity with him.
  3. Dude is a very good player and should be paid like a top 10 DT
  4. Idk if telling ourselves that everything sucks is a win for our mental state but people will process how they process
  5. How many times have we seen this followed by the same person claiming that they're, "just being realistic?" -_-
  6. While we might not have a clear WR1, this is probably the deepest WR group that the team has had in a long, long while. Adam Thielen is a proven commodity and also the NFL record holder for most consecutive 100yd games (8) DJ Chark (2018), Laviska Shenault (2020), Terrace Marshall Jr (2021), and Jonathan Mingo (2023) are all big-body WRs that were all selected in the 2nd round of the NFL draft Damiere Byrd and Shi Smith are both speedsters and former Gamecocks that are likely competing for the same roster spot Even the practice squad guys have potential: CJ Saunders and Derek Wright are both practice squad guys from last season that showed promise during the preseason. Preston Williams is 6'5" 215lbs. There's a whole lot of him.
  7. Can't wait to check this out. Been only following the BattleHawks and beer snakes this season
  8. Watching Moose develop in my early teens was a big influence on me being as patient as I currently am with rookies and first-year players. It's why I've held out for YGM despite not having much faith in him (his lack of explosiveness off the line is just too much for me to ignore). If DJ Johnson has the same issue with not having an explosive get-off, then maybe Yetur can find a way to function in Evero's defense. Big year for YGM + CJ Henderson in regards to getting positive tape out there for other teams to look at if the Panthers opt to go in other directions.
  9. Team has already announced that YGM will play OLB. I don't think that will work at all, but we'll see.
  10. I got the impression that he's going to compete for LG with Brady likely to move over to RT until Austin's fully healed. Can't help but wonder if they're priming Brady to eventually take over for Moton or if they're looking at him as the primary swing guy.
  11. I mean... who else do we need? They're going to be behind Icky, Zavala, Bozeman, Christensen/Corbett, and Moton with Mays lining up as OL6 or FB if they gotta run it. And if they gotta throw it, they can throw it to one of the 53 6'1" 200lbs+ WRs on the roster.
  12. Excited that they picked up Ajiake. While I've pounded the table for Ivan Pace Jr who went to Minnesota, Ajiake was a guy who was popping up on the stat sheets while I was looking at LBs.
  13. Ivan Pace Jr is sitting there waiting to be signed Go get him pls
  14. Aaaaaand as I hit post the stream says the pick is in
  15. Can't wait to see if our draft is over or if Fitterer has another trade left in him. I'm leaning towards the former. This class has felt incredibly deblierate: franchise QB, WR to grow with him that knocked out the team visit, edge rusher that our new DC said "go get," and a guard to play next to Icky so that Christensen can take his time coming back from injury. Brady could end up being the swing guy until it's time to take over at RT for Moton (unless the team looks for higher upside there, of course). Either way... this draft looks like it was meant to provide stability for Bryce Young. He's going to have Ekwonu, Zavala, and Bozeman blocking for him for the next 3 seasons. He's going to have Mingo. They're going to go find him a TE next season if Hayden Hurst or Tommy Tremble don't breakout this season. Thomas Brown might get the Bienemy treatment for a season or two, so he'll be around for a minute until teams figure out how brilliant he is. I'm already accepting that Brown and Evero are going to be head coaches in the next 2 - 4 seasons if this team ends up being successful quickly.
  16. lmao Stetson Bennett to the Rams? That's such an unexpected and fun pick that makes complete sense.
  17. Off to a great start landing Zavala. I had a feeling it was him seeing how quickly the pick got turned in lmao Really hoping we grab an ILB with our next pick. I'm still crossing my fingers, eyes, and toes for Ivan Pace Jr.
  18. I love how this draft seems to be centered around the long term health of the offense.
  19. aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh got our guard!!!! And he played next to Icky Ivan Pace Jr @ #145 pls
  20. The guard out of NC State or one of the highly touted CBs would be great @ #114 and an ILB @ #145. Interested to see what they actually do
  21. We got a QB that has Cam's blessing and a WR that has Steve Smith's blessing. Hopefully it pans out as such, but man it's fun to have the feel goods.
  22. There's a Byron Young from TN that is an edge rusher and a Byron Young from Bama that's a defensive lineman. The one from Bama I thought had an impressive athletic skillset at the combine that could play DE/DT.
  23. I'd like to see the Panthers take one of the following defensive players @ #39 should they not trade out from it: BJ Ojulari, EDGE, LSU Keion White, DE, Georgia Tech Tuli Tuipulotu, DL, USC Byron Young, DL, Alabama There's a big drop to #93 and I'd like to see them take a pass rusher or defensive linemen before they're gone. I think there's enough depth at other positions of need like LB + CB that there will still be quality talent that could at least contribute on special teams and rotate in during their rookie year when they finally get to pick again tonight.
