  1. Very surprised by Kirksey and King being cut. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing what's going on there.
  2. We found him at #1 overall. It cost a couple of extra picks and he's not the size of a monster, but he's gonna be solid. 5yrs is a long time to wait to be right about him being too little. Enjoy what you can while you can.
  3. Good news on that front! Feeling much better about the OL overall after the preseason has concluded. Zavala showed capable if he needs to start, and McCray showed to be a capable interior back-up as well at center and both guard positions. The staff is bullish on Cade Mays as well. Brady Christensen is an amazing OL6 that has shown to be more than serviceable at LG and potentially capable at LT as well. In a perfect world, Christensen gets to be OL6 but in the real world he's shown enough to be able to hold down the fort until Zavala beats him out for his spot (or he has to fill in for somebody else that goes down).
  4. That is a bold statement given the recent Trey Lance debacle.
  5. Hardy was an elite-level athlete. YGM has no get off and best serves any team as a high-motor rotational guy that can start the last few games if the starter goes down. Yetur had potential as a base 4-3 strong side end, but his burst and handfighting skills just aren't there.
  6. Exactly my thoughts as well. All of the "We both said Lance!" seemed forced in interviews. Man oh man does that trade up look even worse now.
  7. No. His get-off is terrible. He's a high motor guy and that's about it. Rotational guy at best that can finish out the season if you lose your starter midway thru
  8. Jennings and Poole could be interesting PS additions.
  9. Beyond giddy to see Bryce progress this season. He looks like he belongs.
  10. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH *abandons work for football*
  11. My favorite part about situations like this is the inevitable silence from folks that were up in arms over the move.
  12. Some folks here being on the same wavelength as Jim Irsay makes sense.
  13. I mean, Chris isn't wrong. To an uneducated observer, be it somebody's spouse that doesn't regularly watch the sport or an acquaintance at the gym who has (at best) a surface level understanding of the game, Bryce Young doesn't look like somebody you'd expect to go #1 in the NFL. Thankfully, that's why we don't just go off of a player's senior prom photo but rather their game tape. Anybody with just the slightest hint of a football IQ can watch the film and tell you that he was the #1 player in college at the #1 position in football.
  14. Right? Frankie Luvu is literally right there. Von Bell, Xavier Woods, Jeremy Chinn, and Sam Franklin Jr are just ok? DeShawn Williams started for the Broncos last season on the DL for their 3-4. Justin Houston just signed. Folks don't have to believe that the defense will play up to their hopes and desires, but willfully dissociating from reality isn't going to help either.
  15. Gotta make money and reporting the facts doesn't do that anymore.
  16. Josh Kelley is a name that I haven't heard since TB trolls started posting in the main forum. I think he's on his way out in LA. They spent a 4th in the recent draft (which they spent on Kelley when he was drafted) on Isaiah Spiller. Will be interesting to see what Kelley is able to put on tape backing up Ekeler.
  17. My favourite part about this season's RB threads is that a lot of the same folks wringing their hands over that group are the same ones that have been pounding the drum to spend the bare minimum on the position. I'm not saying to break the bank for a devalued position, but the irony is hilarious.
  18. I have never seen this many fans cry over preseason games. Some folks need to touch grass (or I guess as Panthers' fans, turf).
  19. Imagine how Browns fans must feel when that 4th string QB was the only thing worth a damn for them this week and last.
  20. It's not just for some reason. He has horrible hands. His rookie season he had 7 drops on 37 targets for a drop rate of almost 20%. He was only targeted 17 times out of the backfield last season and still had a drop. He also had as many fumbles as he did touchdowns last season (2). He's supposed to be a track star but we've all seen him ran down from behind by LBs on breakaways (CMC was criticized for the same thing). This isn't to say that Chuba is a lost cause. He has shown growth and development. So long as that continues he'll finish his rookie contract with the team.
  21. It would go pretty much like it does here. A third of the people will rage, another third won't care, and the final third will be okay with it. *looks at X/Twitter*
  22. They already picked up a camp body CB since Mabin and one of the other CBs are hurt. I think that they roll with Hubbard/Blackshear/Brown and if there's concerns with Chuba then they might start kicking tires.
  23. 1) Improvement from the OL 2) Improvement from the DL 3) A back-up pass rusher stepping up
