This has already been covered. The team ran a lot of soft cover 3 thanks to a talent deficit on defense. Horn did shadow WR1s the season prior and will likely do so again with the right personnel.

They shut him down out of an abundance of caution to end the season, but he essentially put a full season in last year like everybody asked for. Let's keep it honest at least: folks that just want to bitch about how bad the Panthers have been are going to cry about this move the same way they'd cry if Jaycee got paid the same elsewhere.

Folks are so sensitive to being let down that they can't even have fun anymore. Bunny soft. But this is why I say the Huddle would only make this team worse. We'd be sitting here paying some TE9 the vet min to be TE2, letting Jaycee walk over $5M, and other dumb poo.

Team paid less than Ian Thomas' contract despite the salary cap going up... that's a dub.

This contract makes him the 22nd highest avg contract among TEs with potential to be top 16. Gotta wonder if folks complaining about this and the Corbett deal just want to be miserable.
