  1. Might be worth reading the thread before making an already disproven claim. If you need to see where teams have traded up for iOL, I got you there as well.
  2. The narrative here was that he was "just a guy" that was a "luxury pick" and a "liability in coverage." When he got paid, it was all of those things plus his contract. I'm super happy though to see folks finally giving Shaq the credit he's due.
  3. You'd be surprised! Take these day 1 trades from recent drafts, for example: [2021] Dallas traded its first-round selection (10th overall) to Philadelphia in exchange for first- and third-round selections (12th and 84th overall). I know this is a 3rd rounder that we don't have, but worth mentioning here as #84 was enough to move up from #12 to #10. [2021] Minnesota traded first- and fourth-round selections (14th and 143rd overall) to the N.Y. Jets in exchange for their first- and two third-round selections (23rd, 66th, and 86th overall). Again, not exactly a day 3 pick but they essentially took the same trade from earlier, but instead of going from 12 -> 10 for #84, they're going from 23 -> 14 for #86 and swapping a 3rd for a 4th. Perhaps trading a future 3rd could help sweeten the deal? [2020] San Francisco traded first- and seventh-round selections (13th and 245th) to Tampa Bay in exchange for first- and fourth-round selections (14th and 117th). [2020] Minnesota traded a first-round selection (25th) to San Francisco in exchange for San Francisco's first-, fourth-, and fifth-round selections (31st, 117th, and 176th). [2019] Seattle traded a first-round selection (21st) to Green Bay in exchange for Green Bay's first- and two fourth-round selections (30th, 114th and 118th). [2019] Baltimore traded a first-round selection (22nd) to Philadelphia in exchange for Philadelphia's first-, fourth- and sixth-round selections (25th, 127th and 197th). [2019] New Orleans traded a first-round selection (30th), as well as 2018 first- and fifth-round selections (27th and 147th) to Green Bay in exchange for Green Bay's 2018 first round selection (14th). [2018] Green Bay traded a first-round selection (14th) to New Orleans in exchange for New Orleans's first- and fifth-round selections (27th and 147th) and a first-round selection in 2019. [2018] Baltimore traded first- and sixth-round selections (22nd and 215th) to Tennessee in exchange for Tennessee's first- and fourth-round selections (25th and 125th).
  4. Panthers are going to the playoffs. Trade a day 3 pick to slide up a spot or two to grab Linderbaum if he somehow slips due to people not wanting to draft the #1 OL in the draft because "muh poshitshowanal valuuuuuuue!!!!!"
  5. Hence the proposing that the Panthers cover part of his contract like they did with Teddy if they want to try and turn him into a draft pick.
  6. We got a 7th for Greg Little. Never underestimate somebody else's ability to make a mistake.
  7. I got a feeling that we might move Sam for a day 3 pick so long as we take on half of the contract. With '23 having a lot of available cap space, Fitterer can potentially get guys on deals similar to what they did with Moton (cap hit $4M this season, but escalates next season) should they be guys they're comfortable offering multi-year deals to. Right now, our best bet looks like it's going to be rolling into the draft with Erving-Christensen-Elflein-Brown-Moton and seeing how the board falls. Maybe bring Daley and Scott back on cheap deals for depth while also bringing in a high quality vet than John Miller to compete for RG.
  8. Paradis was feast or famine it seemed. He was usually solid in the run game, but in pass protection he was going to give up a couple of plays. Elflein was consistently awful no matter what he did at G. I'm excited to go back and watch the game, because when I saw that we rolled with Daley-Jordan-Elflein-Scott-Moton instead of getting Christensen out there, I became concerned that the staff still was incapable of evaluating talent (is Christensen really a 2nd rd G prospect and/or can they pick the best starting look?). I think that it might be safe to say that the best LT on the roster currently is Cameron Erving. I'm over John Miller and would rather see Trent Scott hold it down with Deonte Brown getting sprinkled in now and then. Elflein is who we got at center, so let's hope that what we saw yesterday is the new norm because I'll take steady over flashy. LG is interesting... the staff seems to like Jordan and Christensen is the obvious next man up there. If Elflein can end up being a starting NFL center after all and Cam is our franchise QB again, I will gladly sacrifice my campaign to draft Tyler Linderbaum (UNLESS HE FALLS TO US AT #32).
  9. Offense: Cam, CMC, RA Defense: Shaq, Haason, DJack Honourable Mentions: Elflein, PJ, Bravvion Going to go back and re-watch the game this morning and zero in on the OL to see if there were any glaring weaknesses aside from a play or two from Daley.
  10. Until Jake Delhomme has forgiven the Cardinals, the Panthers are obligated to beat them so bad that it alters their season's trajectory/outlook.
  11. Cam looking like he was about to get choked up got me a little misty T_T
  12. A lot of Cam stans are about to be back. Welcome them with open arms.
  13. It's definitely going to be something to watch. While Cam has the added benefits of his wheels that Teddy didn't have, we have seen what a limited deep ball does to this offense (and the fan base). My hope is that we see the opposite of what we saw in Cam's last couple of seasons here in that rather than his shoulder declining (or waiting for it to decline) we instead see him get more and more comfortable.
  14. So many incredible moments already from Cam's return. I need the clip of him celebrating with Panthers' fans at the end. It was the cherry on the top of today's... Sunday.
  15. Cam celebrating with traveling Panthers fans again... This doesn't seem real
  16. Best part of that is seeing that PJ Walker is visibly the most animated and on board with Cam in that clip. This is the team that we should have had last year.
  17. I need this story to have the Super Bowl championship ending that it deserves.
  18. Washington, Miami, Buffalo, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Tampa Bay twice. The final 8 weeks of the season are about to be a hell of a ride.
  19. Run it out and let Zane rack up the fantasy pts pls
  20. Look at how happy that CMC is that Cam is back
  21. Cardinals defense is looking winded af BULLY THEM!!
  22. Great opportunity for the OL to go out there and finish strong by bullying the Cardinals defense down the field. Hell yea, Ameer springing free!
  23. Keith Taylor putting the seat belt on AJ Green on that snap
