What type of golf cart do you think Haason Reddick is going to get?
-
This will be the healthiest that Cam has been in a long time. He's still got the foot speed. He's a veteran now. This is the best group of WRs he's ever gotten to throw to, along with having CMC. He doesn't have Olsen, but maybe he can help Tommy Tremble become that true heir to the TE position.

Opinions on who is at fault for Cam's departure??
Icege replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Don't care. All that matters is the upcoming game against Arizona. -
Camtifa had me crying The entire GEQBUS angle is comedy gold.

This is going to be an exciting second half of the season!!! The team is in a position where playoffs and higher draft position are all possible, but with Cam now coming back there's a chance that he shows that he's on the other side of his injury history. If that happens, and things mesh well, we could have our franchise QB back with the best weapons that he has ever had, with a defense that can get him the ball back. Joe Brady also has an opportunity to show that he can adjust to the talent that he has. If we start seeing a creative run game to open up the passing game... ooh wee mayne!

Madden is a lot to get a lot more fun for me

Omfg Cam get that Publishers Clearing House contract lfg!!!!!!!
-
Yes. They could have signed any available QB to limp towards the end of the season. Instead, they brought Cam back. This team is trying to win now.

Time is like a river, and history repeats itself. EXCEPT THIS IS NOW CAM'S TIME TO GET HIS REVENGE FOR BEING THE PEYTON SACRIFICE

HE GONNA BE READY FOR WASHINGTON!!!!

Cam to Rhule
-
This. He hesitates so much or zeroes in on a target. It doesn't matter that he's got arm strength if he's inaccurate and makes poor decisions.

The only QBs that I recoil from more than Ohio State & Bama QBs are USC QBs. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Just finished pushing through the thread and if I had to put money on what happened, I'd say there was a hairline fracture as a result of the ATL game that was reaggravated on that clip that ellis posted. Even so... you're marching your QB out there with a fractured scapula? Nevermind that other QBs have played hurt and that players have lied, Sam had imaging done. That injury would appear on the imaging. Even if he's able to deal with it through pain management, that's a broken shoulder. That's difficulty lifting, holding, keeping it still, etc. In fact: Yea... I'm getting ever so close to saying "fug Matt Rhule."
-
I'm incredibly concerned after all of the singing and dancing about the importance of recovery during Rhule's initial hiring. I haven't gotten a chance to go back and watch the Patriots game (was visiting a friend in Chapel Hill on gameday), but I didn't hear much about any big hits that Sam took. The only one I've been aware of this season was the shot he took trying to take it in on the QB run the week prior. If that's when the fracture occurred, then I'm cleaning house. I'm all for giving folks a chance to grow and learn on the job, but deliberately endangering a player is inexcusable.

Tickets were $100 for nosebleeds when we lost to PHI. Makes letting my PSLs expire in 2016 that much easier.

Way too early to be giving a GM a grade only 9 games into their first season at the position, especially when having to clean up the mess left by Hurney.

ngl, I'm excited about being to evaluate the current OL talent. We've seen something like 7 or 8 different combinations this season so far. We get to see if Elflein is going to be a viable option at center after Paradis, as well as getting Christensen more reps. I'm low on Daley, but he's going to get a shot at LT which is always a hot topic of conversation. Maybe we get lucky and Christensen shows promise. That would at least check LG & RT off of next season's needs. Maybe Deonte Brown comes back from injury and shows that he can be the anchor next season. That would put the team in a position similar to the Chiefs, Ravens, Rams, and Packers who have 3 (in the case of KC, 4) starters on rookie deals performing at a high level on their OLs. Should Christensen & Brown look like they can be our starting guards, then that gets us 2/3 of the way there! One thing that it would also enable, is for the team to truly go BPA in the draft, especially if Elflein also shows that he can at least not be terrible at center. The team could take a look at the OL prospects like Tyler Linderbaum, Evan Neal, and Kenyon Green or QBs such as Sam Howell, Spencer Rattler, and Carson Strong. Either way, this first round pick coming up is looking like they might be a major franchise cornerstone. Hopefully it works out well!

omfg Use one of our thousand day 3 picks on him pls.

DRAFT HIM, YOU COWARDS!

Sad for Sam EXCITED FOR TYLER LINDERBAUM

The troubles of being a shittacular team. So long as Tyler Linderbaum is snapping the football to a different Panthers' QB next season, I'll be happy.

The OL at the start of the season: Position Player 2021 Cap Hit (Millions) LT Cameron Erving $2,240,000 LG Pat Elflein $1,360,000 C Matt Paradis $5,698,000 RG John Miller $1,127,500 RT Taylor Moton $4,000,000 TOTAL $14,425,500 The OL at the end of yesterday's game: Position Player 2021 Cap Hit (Millions) LT Dennis Daley $881,838 LG Michael Jordan $613,886 C Sam Tecklenburg $549,990 RG Trent Scott $1,650,000 RT Taylor Moton $4,000,000 TOTAL $7,695,714 According to Spotrac, the average cap space spent on a starting OL this season is $19,600,000. The Panthers have spent $17,900,000 on the entire OL. That's nearly $2M less for the position group than what teams pay on average for their starters. The Pittsburgh Steelers starting OL has a cap hit of $8.1M, the lowest in the league... until Carolina finished yesterday's game. Meanwhile, look at the cost of the starting OL from some of the more successful teams this season so far: Team 2021 Cap Hit Tennessee $35,000,000 Buffalo $30,000,000 Arizona $28,400,000 Cleveland $28,400,000 Tampa Bay $27,700,000 New Orleans $19,000,000 New England $18,700,000 Denver $18,000,000 There are teams such as the Rams ($14.4M), Ravens ($13M), Chiefs ($10.5M), and Packers ($10.4M) that have spent significantly less than average on their starting OL while enjoying success, but they are also getting significant production out of players still on their rookie deals. Baltimore, Green Bay, and Los Angeles are all starting 3 offensive linemen still on their rookie contracts. Kansas City is starting 4. This team needs to find a way to draft and develop offensive linemen if we want to see sustained success. A franchise QB is great for selling tickets and entertaining the drunks, but as we saw with Cam Newton and more recently Matt Stafford, that is only going to get you so far until you put a competent offensive line in front of them. Overpaying veteran free agents is not the way. Get a guy on a second contract (Moton, check!), get a known commodity on the back end of his career if you have to have that greybeard in the locker room, and start teaching these young men how to block a pro level D-Line. Oh, and I most definitely didn't forget: Draft Tyler Linderbaum
