  1. Direct timestamp for the question and answer. He's giving Bates his flowers, not making excuses.
  2. Damn! Was hoping when word came back that it was a hammy that it was a minor tear at worst. Sounds like it was a significant tear. Ugh... poor kid. Hope he recovers quickly and without any long term issues.
  3. Looks like the Ekwonu-Zavala left side combo might happen sooner than expected. Reich said that the team was bullish on Mays during the preseason, so I could see him being easier for them to replace with Corbett once he's healed. If Zavala balls out, he might hold that LG position until the rest of the season. If he doesn't, expect BC back starting (which isn't necessarily a bad thing!).
  4. Seeing I see a couple of them abandoning ship in this very thread.
  5. Great write up! I can't recall the last time I've been this excited for week 2. I'm eager to see the growth that the team shows over the course of the season. Enjoy the honeymoon!
  6. Same thing happened on the other INT when TMJ was the target. He cuts at the 50, floats to the ATL 48, and the pick is made there. Had he stayed on the 50 or come back to the ball it's a completion.
  7. The first pick seemed more on Bates great preparation and athletic ability than it did on misfires by the Panthers. Bryce did look seem to lock on Hurst, tho I could be mistaken (watching on my phone between meetings, so I'm not getting the best visual).
  8. After watching the all-22, I can't help but put some of the blame on TMJ for not running a crisp route. He makes his cut at the 50, floats up to the ATL 48. Worth noting that Bates didn't drop any further back than where he started at the snap. If TMJ stays along the 50 or comes back to the ball he gets there before Bates does. Between this and the stutter on what would have been a chunk play down the sideline, Jefferson is going to have plenty to get on TMJ about during practice this week. Very eager to see how he responds to actual NFL coaching.
  9. Relieved that he's not done for the year. Was terrified for him that it was an ACL, but confirming it's a hamstring... phew. Hammies are finicky as hell, but at least he's gonna get back on the field. The defense is better with him.
  10. I saw some folks complaining that Smith-Marsette has speed and wasn't on the field for the offense, but I'm assuming that's because they forgot that he'd only been on the roster for 12 days by the time Sunday rolled around.
  11. You don't think that QBs and WRs should have separate grades?
  12. Be careful there. This is apparently a safe space for miserable fans to bitch about the team and its fans, but Lord forbid the fans that aren't melting down talk about what they liked seeing while rolling their eyes at the whining. Somehow that makes them the problem?
  13. He's looking much better than expected. Looks like has the potential to win the starting LG job from Christensen eventually, but not yet. BC clearly looked like the better player on Sunday, but Zavala did really well for a guy that was thinking instead of playing at times. Lots to like about the potential for the future!
  14. Still got a blessing in Ridder catching the ball instead of swatting it down. That loss of yardage made it so that Bijan's following carry put the Falcons @ 3rd & 8 rather than 3rd & 2. Then they singled Burns on the 3rd snap of the game and we saw what happened. Shout outs to Shaq coming in the delayed blitz as well to down Ridder! I think you'll enjoy the Panthers first offensive drive (I'm catching bits between meetings today, hoping to finish by COB). Lots to like but also lots for the players to learn from. The game seemed like a tale of two halves. When you get to finish watching again, what did you see were the major differences between the two teams and what they did in the first vs. second halves? Any particular adjustments that stand out?
  15. I wonder how many people had on their bingo cards that Bryce Young would stay healthy longer than Aaron Rodgers this season.
  16. Relieved but also concerned/worried that it was a hamstring. I had feared the worst when he went down with a non-contact injury and counted our blessings when the news came back that it was a hammy... but hamstrings take foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever to heal. Poor Jaycee just can't catch a break... actually, that's probably not the best choice of words.
  17. Nothing for me has really changed other than no longer being a season ticket holder, and that happened due to life more than anything else (got married + had a child, couldn't justify the expense). I'm still eagerly awaiting the All-22 footage, still armchair scouting, etc. If anything, unstable fans make the experience less fun for me. Filling my ignore/block list has led to a much more enjoyable Huddle experience.
  18. Thielen took a shot on that one but bounced back up. Not bad, old man.
  19. And after getting beat twice to allow the opponent into scoring position, CJ stands and waits before going low as Allgeier to dives over him.
  20. They went right at CJ Henderson twice and were rewarded twice.
