I'm trying to understand why former NFL players are saying he had a great game while the usual suspects here are clinging to the stat line and saying, "THIS IS AVERAGE!!!!" In 2023 the passing average passing yards for an NFL game was 219. Bryce threw for 263yds. That is clearly above average. Those same fans are saying that he made "average" NFL throws while former NFL players are calling them "jaw dropping." The only three conclusions I can draw are that those angry Huddlers either didn't watch the game, don't know poo about football, or have an unhealthy obsession with hating Young. ~\_(ツ)_/~

Calls Spags "possibly one of the best DC's" in the league that will blitz and play man Felt there were moments in 2023 vs. GB where Bryce showed he was a pro QB Was not flukey; Bryce shredded KC through the air and played even better in the second half after the defense had made adjustments Made "jaw dropping throws" in the second half (the usual Bryce haters kept saying they were "normal" and "regular NFL" throws... hm... I'll take the word of a former NFL defender over a few disgruntled Huddlers) KC secondary was having issues that we weren't used to seeing and the guy that exposed it was the "little guy" that was benched 4th & 3 to Thielen "was incredible" At the end of Q3, the last throw he makes was one of his best throws all day according to Long Bryce was blitzed on 38% of his drop backs, was 11 of 13 for 135yds and a TD. Reviewed some of the issues KC is facing (secondary and tackle play, Pacheco + Omenihu out) Gave flowers to the KC kicker subbed in for Butker Shouted out Noah Gray for his performance

It's weird that folks keep saying Bryce's stat line was meh when he had only 6yds less than Mahomes on 6 less completions. Are we holding the 1 TD against him as if there weren't multiple endzone drops? That wouldn't make much sense.

Fingers crossed that everything is as good as it can be. That landing looked beyond ugly.

idk man Some of the things you've posted here makes me wonder if he fuged your mom or something because of how personal it seems.

7.8% 24th in the league in drops 39th in the league in drop percentage As mentioned, Amari Cooper has been horrifyingly bad. He leads the leagues in drops (11) and drop percentage (17.5%).

As a receiver? Undoubtedly. As a blocker? Oh God no. Tremble and Thomas are better blockers by miles.

One of those passes was the David Moore drop in the back of the endzone. Another was the overthrow towards XL in order to keep time on the clock to kick the field goal with nobody open. There's also the David Moore drop down the sideline near the start of Q3 and XL's drop on the deep ball towards the end of Q4. The remaining three are the miss to AT who looks to have ran to the near pylon rather than far where BY threw it, the high throw to David Moore in the endzone that the commentators mentioned that Coker would have been there for, and the drop by Tremble in the endzone after JT had gotten hurt. So 4 drops, 1 throw away, a bad route, and a high throw.

Game film doesn't shows that Bryce struggled in the redzone as much as his teammates failed to execute (or the opposing defense just flat out steps up). He might not be a threat to take it 60yds while stiff arming and shaking defenders, but he's shown more than enough to convert a first on a 10+ yard scramble.

Oh, and as a bonus: Saw the same folks saying that AT didn't get helmet-to-helmet say that the refs bailed the Panthers out with this call...

Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.

Can't help but wonder if they're overcompensating for being wrong most of the time.

Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.

NFL Pro has the All-22 up already Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.

RZ Trip 1 4yd rush by Chuba up the middle Screen to the right to Thompkins who bounces it to the middle for 3yds Cade Mays' false start moves 3rd & 3 back to 3rd & 8 from KC 7 to the KC 12 End zone corner shot to AT that doesn't link. Throw was to the back corner but Adam wasn't quite there yet. Maybe timing off from being on IR? FG RZ Trip 2 Reverse to the right by Thompkins for 11yds for the first Designed rollout for Bryce. Nobody open. Gets rid of it as the defender gets to him. Looked like a designed screen to Tremble to the left, but the LB drifted towards it and Bryce came off to get Chuba coming underneath the middle. Good play by the KC DB. Might have gotten some yardage out of the screen to Tremble. Overthrow to David Moore in the endzone. Announcers made a comment about Coker missing, but I think it might have been too high still? FG RZ Trip 3 Short out route to the right JT. This was the play where the neck injury occurred as he picked up the first down Gets hit and throws it up to David Moore in the back left of the end zone. Moore grabs it and brings it in but doesn't hold on to it. Over the middle to Tremble who goes up and has it hit him in both hands but doesn't come down with it. Airmails it XL's way, likely to try and keep time on the clock for the FG as there was 7sec left in the half when he let go of it with the KC defender beating Moton. Might have had AT to the left. FG RZ Trip 4 Short out route to the left by XL for 7yds Run to the right B-gap by Chuba for 5yds and the first Chuba bounces it out to the left for 5yds Chuba up the middle for 4yds Bryce rolls out right with nobody open. Scrambles OB to the LOS. Chuba up the middle for the 4th down conversion and ball on KC 1. Another roll out to the right again with everybody covered. Tries to push it back inside to Moore but DB slaps it down. RPO to Moore that was a dart for a TD Gets the ball to AT for the 2pt conversion but AT gets hit helmet to helmet and drops it, flag on KC tho. Tremble false starts pushes the team back from the KC 1 to the KC 6. Opt for the PAT instead of 2. RZ Trip 5 Chuba up the middle for 3yds Checkdown to Chuba in the flat for 2yds. Had Moore short to the left as well but looked like it would have netted the same yardage. Icky false start on 3rd & 5 from KC 15. Tremble underneath to the middle. Might have been able to hit AT over the top for 6 but gets just 5yds on the play. FG RZ Trip 6 Chuba off tackle to the right for 1yd and the TD. Bryce heaves it up on a prayer as the rush closes in to David Moore who draws DPI. Chuba up the middle for 2 to tie it up. What was noticeable was the explosive plays leading to the redzone trips today. There was the deep ball to XL to set up RZ Trip 1. RZ Trip 2 was a result of the pass to AT that he took and ran up the left sideline for with XL blocking. RZ Trip 3 was after 21yd throw to David Moore. RZ Trip 4 was courtesy of a penalty on KC following a Chuba run. RZ Trip 5, while technically not an explosive play, was a 3rd & 10 conversion over the middle to Moore. RZ Trip 6 was after the DPI vs. AT on the deep pass.
