  1. Trai Turner is apparently fat as a 320lbs RG but Travelle Wharton wasn't fat as a 315lbs LG? Huddle gonna huddle.
  2. This. With the current crop of free agents, incoming promising draft class, and reduced cap due to COVID it is an unwise gamble on his part imo. But hey, maybe a team looks at his age and tell themselves the cap is going to go back up. I just don't see that being the Panthers with EVERYTHING else going on with the offense.
  3. Considering Watson was only able to get 4 wins, and according to the Huddle a QB is solely responsible for the teams record, idk about the team being playoff bound with him at the helm. Plugging Watson in doesn't magically make the defense better last year either. That doesn't mean don't get him if he's available of course, but the idea that the only thing holding this team back from a postseason last year was a QB is ignorant at best, willfully misleading at worst.
  4. Been waiting since Mike Minter for the next great Panthers safety The wait is finally over.
  5. It doesn't, it's just that some people don't know poo about football.
  6. Couldn't find a summary tweet like with CMC, but here's the cached page from Spotrac: And the updated one for Shaq: Went from a cap hit of $14.18M this upcoming season to a cap hit of $6.828M, freeing up around $7.5M. Combined with CMC's restructure freeing up $5.638M, this opens up a little over a combined $13M
  7. Looking for details on Shaq's restructure
  8. He couldn't have picked a worse time to test the market imo Highly touted WR draft class, lots of veteran names in free agency, reduced cap space due to COVID The team might actually be able to retain him if WAS & NYG don't come with cash in hand.
  9. I'm guessing that Simms looks at a top 10 selection as "Start now" which makes sense on the take that Lance is a 2nd rounder. Mac Jones, despite his lack of mobility, is apparently as pro ready as a QB can be. I'm starting to really, really like the idea of Rashawn Slater at #8. Let him play LG his rookie season and then kick him outside to LT in his second season like the team did with Gross.
  10. Do you not recall how many people had Haskins rated over Jones and the beating Gettleman took for taking Jones instead?
  11. Imagine trying to argue that any OL with Greg Little & Chris Reed at LT & LG as being "not that bad"
  12. With this and last offseason being QB carousels, I can't even begin to imagine what next year's will look like.
  13. There is so much irrational hate for Teddy here (to the point that folks are now trying to change the narrative surrounding Delhomme), I forget that we have quality posters. Teddy has always been a game manager that relies on his pre-snap reads and quick release. Did he show that he could be the guy last season? Hell no. His contract is literally set up to allow the team to build the offense for a young QB to be comfortable in while allowing them an easy out for the third year. It's remarkable, however, how many of the same posters that harped on Teddy needing pieces around him seem to ignore how the best player on the offense was gone most of the season along with the blindside protector. Some of the same fans that believe QB trumps everything will also follow it up by saying that the LT is the 2nd most important position on the offense. So now the offense is missing it's best player and 2nd best position for a majority of the season? Throw in an ineffective TE group and Chris Reed literally hydroplaning into nobody at LG? Oof. Personally, I like the idea of staying at #8 and waiting to see how the board falls. The team is in a position where they don't have to move up despite some of the chicken littles here saying otherwise (I'll never let folks live down that whole "We can't get a pass rusher at #16!!" only for Brian Burns to be chilling there). If one of the top 4 QBs are available, take em. Do the due diligence on seeing if there is a trade option (which they're doing) to upgrade the position. If the team can't find an answer this season and Teddy looks the same if not worse, then turn over every stone next season and find one.
  14. Any particular day 3/UDFAs that you've got your eye on?
  15. Really gotta look into raising that required posts to start a thread threshold.
  16. Was a super interesting dude. Hopefully things pick up for him back in Minnesota.
  17. Would be very interested to know how he weighted the prospects (ie: expected pro career, current skillset, etc etc). 2018 he was on the money
  18. Depends on system and current talent. I don't think it would be wise to arrange them by rounds like the draft, but if folks had to be particular they can debate the values of particular positions in different systems.
  19. So sad that the final episode is this week
  20. If I was in the Charlotte area, I'd consider it, but that's a little too rich for my blood when including trips from Charleston.

  22. Outside of nitpicking a couple of #4 and #5s, this is pretty much what I have as well. I think the only big difference I'm seeing is Shaun Wade in the top 5. I had him there to start the season, but have him outside of it now. Jamin Davis I'm going to have to look into more. Same with Goldwire. Otherwise, I have Alijah at #4 for OTs rather than #2 Good stuff mang.
  23. Imagine being able to use this entire draft on continuing to build the roster and then still getting Watson for 2022 + 2023 picks instead.
