Rashawn Slater been looking good, but Christensen is looking solid + Jaycee Horn is gonna be a beast so I'm ok with how things worked out.

Kind of hoping that we're able to drop down while netting a 2nd rounder to replace the one that was traded for Sam.

Give me Tyler Linderbaum out of Iowa pls. Team needs a competent center once Paradis' contract is up, and Linderbaum can start at LG as well if the team goes another route. Came to Iowa as a defensive lineman, switched to OL, and has been a force since. Former wrestler that also pinned Tristan Wirfs

The more that I go back and watch that 4th down stop, the more that I realize it was just better defense by the Ravens combined with bad play on the part of both TEs. Ian Thomas gets slung to the ground immediately by Tyus Bowser while Colin Thompson puts an ineffective shoulder into DeShon Elliot rather than squaring him up. Daley was late getting around due to Paradis having 2 DL + 1 MLB bull rush him off the snap, but what really killed the play was Thomas getting thrown to the ground and Thompson's poor technique. Bowser was left free and forced Chuba to bounce outside, and Elliot had barely moved from the love tap by Thompson. If Thomas doesn't get thrown to the ground, Chuba doesn't bounce it to the outside and scores. If Thompson actually blocked Elliot, then maybe Chuba gets around him and scores. More on Thomas than Thompson, but both failures result in a 4th & goal from the 1yd line going nowhere. I'd like to see that same play ran with Darnold and Tremble. Darnold might not fair much better than Thomas did, but Tremble would have leveled Elliot.

It's safe to say that Brian Burns, Derrick Brown, Da'Quan Jones, Morgan Fox, Yetur Gross-Matos, and Marquis Haynes are locks. That leaves 3 - 4 spots left in the DL group for the final roster. That's up for grabs between: Bravvion Roy - 2020 6th Rd pick. Looked pretty good for a 6th round rookie towards the end of last season. Not so much this preseason. Daviyon Nixon - 2021 5th Rd pick. Has been lining up at DT and DE. Looks like the team is hoping for him to fill Obada's role. Had a great practice vs. the Ravens but hasn't shown up in preseason. Phil Hoskins - 2021 7th Rd pick. Has impressed in preseason against the 3s, and has shown the same production vs. the 2s. Consistently collapses the pocket and could very well have worked his way on to the final 53. Christian Miller - 2019 4th Rd pick. Has been getting plenty of preseason snaps where he's shown the ability to get pressures, QB hits, TFLs, etc. Unfortunately, seems to be most effective vs. the run when he's in the backfield already rather than holding up at the point of attack. Could sneak in as a rotational pass rusher that can also drop back into coverage à la Reddick/Luvu. Kendall Donnerson - One of the four practice squad journeymen competing. Had a sack and had a couple of flashes. Might have done enough to work their way on to the practice squad. Frank Herron - Has been getting plenty of snaps vs. the 2s & 3s. Has had a few plays here and there. Caraun Reid - NFL journeyman that was once a 4th round pick iirc. Had an injury issue during the first preseason game. Walter Palmore - Former Seahawk brought in by Fitterer. Got themselves a penalty in their first action, but later got a couple of pressures. What say you, Huddle? Who else makes the final 53? Who makes the practice squad, if anyone? Currently, I'm leaning towards Hoskins and Nixon making the 53 with either Roy or Miller also making it or one of the latter two being practice squad bound.

Locking down a strong WR group for the next 4 years so that we can bring in a young guy on the cheap if Sam doesn't work out?

Spent all of week 1 watching Christensen + Brown and it was a treat. Allowed me to watch LT most of the night tonight... which was disappointing. Scott had some nice moments: sealing off the crashing DE to create an outside run lane and stonewalling a huge bull rush to keep the pocket clean. Also got to watch Mike Horton a little bit more as well. Might be able to get himself a practice squad spot. Was also interesting seeing Christensen get snaps at G. He's the clear swing guy at this point. I really, really hope to see the OL look like Moton-Miller-Paradis-Brown-Christensen.

We keep having route running issues and it's pretty frustrating.

Looks like they're gonna let Grier get some more snaps. Interested in how Horton & Brown look. If Brown looks dominant, he has to be in the convo to potentially start. I am terrified of Elflein starting more than I am Erving, mainly because Christensen has looked good and we know that despite his preseasom struggles Scott can be a solid back up OT.

3rd downs are still an issue for both sides of the ball looking at the halftime stats. Redzone is still an issue for the offense. The defense is also creating turnovers though, so I'm not worried about them so much. The offense tho? The potential is there, just not finishing like the defense has.
