Was busy last night so I'm catching up on the game now. Just finished the first half. I've got questions/concerns with the defense, but it does flash from time to time. The OL is making strides, but they'll be limited until Bozeman is starting at center. Shi Smith continues to look like the better WR of the two that the Panthers drafted in 2021, and Baker looks better than he did the year he led the Browns to the playoffs. It amazes me how against any level of competition Erving, Jordan, and Elflein consistently look terrible and overwhelmed. Erving almost sacked Sam when Lovett had to cut the DE down that had ran by. Injuries will always be a major concern. Darnold's injury means that PJ likely makes the 53, and Gonzalez's injury puts us in a tough spot that we thought we weren't in anymore once we signed him.

Him and McCall have consistently popped during preseason. Would be great additions to the front 7 if they can keep it up during season

Excited to see who's going to earn those final roster spots, that the guys make it safely into the regular season with minimal dents and dings, and our last week of "meaningless" football!!!

What Will Have the Biggest Impact on our Offense?
Icege replied to coffee's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's so hard to determine one, which is why the combination of all of those factors allows me to be excited for the start of the season. McAdoo provides the team with an experienced NFL OC that doesn't lean on Rhule but vice versa. We didn't have this with Brady nor Nixon. Baker is a much better QB than all of the other QBs that have started under Matt Rhule. He can get the ball to playmakers, will challenge downfield, and can lead the offense. The OL is night and day. Erving/Jordan/Miller no longer starting cannot be started enough. Ekwonu/Christensen/Corbett are such massive upgrades over those three. I think that Bozeman is a much better center than Elflein as well, so there's another back-up actually being a back-up. Having a better talented OL with better coaching is going to be a major upgrade. The issue now, of course, has been allowing the starting OL to gel. They'll likely get some decent time in the third preseason game, but it's going to be awesome seeing it with Bozeman in it instead of Elflein. CMC is a beast. If there's an OL blocking for him, a QB that's able to deliver the ball to the other playmakers, and a competent OC that can design + call plays to take advantage of his skillset? Ooh wee mayne. Would love to see Tommy Tremble, Terrace Marshall Jr, Rashard Higgins, Shi Smith, or even Ian Thomas become a viable 4th option behind CMC, DJ, and RA. -
Video of Kenny Robinson's hit + celebration vs. Kristian Wilkerson

Definitely not a legal hit. Kenny lowered his helmet and made contact with it. Unnecessary Roughness as defined by the NFL in article 8(g): If a player uses any part of his helmet (including the top/crown and forehead/hairline parts) or facemask to butt, spear, or ram an opponent violently or unnecessarily. He looked down for a full second, saw that he was out, and then celebrated. Been a big KRob supporter myself, but this was dirty on his part. -

Was definitely the reason Ferentz took the late hit penalty against him during the game -

As in folks that I have on my ignore list or folks that he should put on his? If it's who they should put: whoever makes their experience here suck If it's who I have put on mine: whoever makes my experience here suck I'm not looking to wage war against any individual users. That's why I've chosen to use the Ignore List rather than endlessly argue with them. If we're having a back and forth, hurray! You're not on the list!

There must have been some FEELINGS over the day before because iirc he got into it with Wilkerson and threw punches after a scrum -

Was really excited about the pick, but there were injury concerns prior and he was most certainly a Joe Brady guy. If he can't get on the field and the Panthers are getting some competitive trade offers for him, let Fitterer do his thing. I'd rather see what he can do on the field (and if he can stay on it). This will be a big season for him to show his value.

This is the unfortunate truth. A lot of resident shitposters find comfort in being angry since that's their default state of existing. Pointing it out to them just gets that weirdo "Why are you complaining about complaining, I know you are but what am I" response. It is almost as if they have to gaslight others into being as enraged and miserable as they are. It is what it is. Just put those posters on the ignore list and let them drown with the other sad bois.
