Anyone notice how basically all the Ohio state qbs almost for the last decade has put up basically the same numbers? Fields and Haskins basically had the exact same passing stats as fields and that passing didn’t translate to the nfl. 70% completion percentage, 40 TDs, 6ints. Hell even further back you still have pretty impressive passing stats. so that’s a big red flag to me.

Corral bros.... what do we do now?????
rmoneyg35 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
What’s wrong with potentially having two good young QBs? Also look at what happened with the 49ers, it’s possible the qb we draft becomes a bust and a qb already on roster ends up being the starter. -
We are going defense and will draft Will Anderson or Jalen Carter because we want to become a defensive powerhouse

These same people said Willis could be the top Qb last year. I think it’s Stroud and Young.

Confused Why Some Seem to Think We Got Fleeced
rmoneyg35 replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
We only got fleeced if the player ends up being a bust. -
So then, we’ve got a WR corps to build. What do y’all got?
rmoneyg35 replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope we don’t sign a WR for a big contract. Sign a few vets, maybe take a risk on a lesser known wr with potential. I feel like WR isn’t that important especially if you got a good qb. -
So... Common Sense Says We're Drafting Stroud... Right????
rmoneyg35 replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don’t know why people think we are going to take AR #1. Remember last year people, including the media was hyping Willis as the top qb in the draft…. He ended up going in the 3rd round. We are going for Young Or Stroud. I would think we would go for young. If young was just a few inches taller then he would be hyped as one of the best qb prospects of all time. You really think being a little short is going to make that big of a difference? No, it didn’t affect Brees, Wilson or Murray. Todays NFL protects the QB enough to not to worry about his size. -
Vikings to release WR Adam Thielen

10 best free agent WRs and TEs per The Athletic
rmoneyg35 replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah but considering who we had at qb and how we stuck to the run, he showed potential. At least he could be a solid #2 and outside WR. -
Yeah only a first and 2 2nd round picks. Not like those picks probably wouldn’t lead to starters.

I feel like WR is an easy position to replace. Didn’t DJ line up in the slot most of the time? Shouldn’t be a problem. Marshall played well last year and could be a decent #1 -
But we got moral victories! Thank god we didn’t hire Wilks. I Also blame the front office, they should have traded more players to make sure we would have lost.

I feel like Ken Dorsey doesn’t have a lot of experience to be a HC. Has he really done enough to prove himself to be a HC or is he just the product of having a good bills team around him? I would prefer Ben Johnson over him if we are going to go the young HC route.
-
Lmao are you listening to yourself? If we had an all star at every position and we were healthy then we would have won… smh. You could say the exact same thing about the bucs. This is just dumb. Every team has injuries. Stop with the excuses, we lost, they won. Next.

Big time players show up in big time games
rmoneyg35 replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Teams offer lots of picks for bad players all the time. Are you really that ignorant? The math is simple, possibly two great players for one player who is a one trick pony. I never said he was poo, just that he’s not as great at many say. Maybe he would be better in a 3-4 LB role. -
But guys we won those games! Don’t you know moral victories are very important!
-
Yes! Meaningful? Please at best we would have been a 7-9 team. If we made the playoffs it wouldn’t had been because we were good, it would be because the bucs sucked. We beat some .500 and below teams, good job. You act like we were playing great much watch football during that time. We wasn’t it was boring, bad football.
-
I’ve been thinking the same thing. We build a great team and get a big name FA qb to come here like the bucs did with Brady or trade for one like the rams did. But we have a good offensive line still I wouldn’t be against drafting a qb. We may need to trade up to get Young or levis. I don’t think Darnold is the answer. I think teams let him throw because they aren’t worried about him.

Isn’t the bucs offensive line supposed to suck because of injuries? This has always been the knock on Burns, he’s a one trick pony, undersized DE who isn’t good against the run. The fact people can say that he’s worth keeping over 2 first round picks is insane. Once he gets his contract he’s going to be taking up a lot of cap space. -
I saw that but to be fair I feel like that may sound worse than what it sounds. He could just be so focused on his team and trying to win the next game that he isn’t focused on what other teams are doing.
-
Omg stop it! You could literally say this about almost every close game in the nfl. At the end of the day we have lots of holes that need to be fixed. Yes we could have won with Horn but the bucs aren’t a great team and are beat up to hell. Every teams have injuries, great teams overcome them. if Tampa was healthy you think we would have just needed one player to beat them? No. We keep getting wins against .500 and below teams and people act like we are good. We aren’t. We are in a rebuilding Mode. We have a promising offensive line and some good young players at other postions. We could be great in a year or two, or we could be horrible with some bad luck, like injuries, etc. the nfl is unpredictable.

I got an awesome idea for our fanbase...
rmoneyg35 replied to TheMostInterestingMan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was horrible, granted it can take a few years for a player to develop but he wasn’t good at first and there were a lot better players who we could have gotten. The criticism was valid. Also you are so dumb you can’t think long term. Maybe sucking a season or two is better long term because you can draft a franchise player which will make you a good team for decades. Smart people realize this. They realize the higher the draft pick the better chance you have at getting a top player. Sure you could fail but let’s not act like there isn’t a big talent drop off from a top 3 pick to mid first round. That’s just stupid. If you want the panthers to win the rest of their games after basically being eliminated from the playoffs then you are a moron who believes participation trophy’s matter. Go enjoy your moral victories in your corner by yourself. -
Wilks only had one job and that was to lose and he couldn’t have done that right. If we would have made the playoff we wouldn’t have made it because we were good, we would have made it because Tampa was horrible and our division sucked. Wilks is a sub.500 coach who has never beaten a winning team. Seahawks aren’t a winning team and had a weak schedule. You honestly want to keep a sub.500 coach? Don’t give me that Bs that we don’t have a qb, look at the giants who play in the toughest division, no qb, no WRs. 49ers are down to their 3rd sting qb and still win.

Is Corner our second biggest need behind QB?
rmoneyg35 replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would say DE. A good pass rush can mask a bad secondary. What was it 2013 or 14 when we had the best pass rush but horrible secondary? It didn’t matter because we were so good at getting to the qb.
