  1. the saints are worse than the panthers. i'll still enjoy the win.
  2. is brooks playing at all today? that would be the only thing i look forward to seeing.
  3. running up the score? the panthers have lost by 2 scores or more in every loss this season. does he realize how hard it is not to run up the score on them? i don't blame sean payton. if i get the chance to practice some plays in a live game when i have no chance of losing, i'm pulling the trigger. it's not my fault the opposing team sucks so bad that i can score without even trying.
  4. it would be a relief to make the attempt to at least look like they knew what they were doing.
  5. if canales wants to run the run heavy play action offense he envisions, and if a rookie qb...or *gulp* bryce young is put under center next season, the panthers need 2 good backs. they need to duplicate the same run dominance as double trouble, foreman/hubbard, or even davis/foster. the offense has shown a lot of light the past few weeks, but miles sanders is the bottleneck. hubbard has been a breath of fresh air the past couple of seasons, and he's earned his spotlight...but at best, he is a stopgap rb1 back on any roster.
  6. the fact that a fourth round pick is the highest offer tells you that he has no trade value. it will not increase. if they don't do it now, interest will fade and the best offers will be even worse. everything about bryce young has come back to bite the team. the absolute best case scenario for the panthers is a trade that involves absorbing young's salary.
  7. absolutely not. at this point, bryce young is a morale killing energy suck. the panthers could have been up by 100, the only thing putting young on the field would have done is ruin the moment...for the team, and the fans.
  8. they have to pull the trigger and get what they can. if they really are considering keeping him, they better sign a viable backup asap. the only reason bryce should have even a remote possibility of playing this season is because the panthers have been eliminated from the playoffs.
  9. both fox and rivera could go 0-16, and still not put bryce on the field.
  10. they need to take advantage of a trade now while the interest is hot, and while they're in the position to take advantage of teams possibly trying to outbid one another. young doesn't have the same trade value of brian burns, but allowing the interest to fade is the same mistake.
  11. they'll get addition by subtraction. they've wasted so much capital to get and invest in him, there's no point in trying to recoup any of it. the main goal is to get rid of him, even if it costs.
  12. i believe this was a canales decision with tepper following suit. win/loss record aside...no reasonable first time head couch is going to sit back, lose the locker room, and allow their first season to look like complete trash. canales was brought in to fix young. so who better to tell tepper that this project is over than him.
