I can't be alone in wishing that Cam could get another shot in Carolina behind a competent OL and with a 'rockstar" OC. None of these will happen, of course, but in an alternate universe where it does and Cam becomes a star again...I want to live there.

Grew up along the PA/NY border (born in '66) and started playing youth hockey at age 5. Played one year of college hockey before accepting the fact that I wasn't talented enough to go beyond that level or do well in college and play hockey. Grew up a Rangers fan (Rod Gilbert and Eddie Giocomin) as that was all my old man and I could get on TV (3 channels, hell yeah), transitioning later to the Canadiens and Patrick Roy. I've been an Avs fan for 20+ years now, with the Caps and 'Canes as my favorites in the East. I'd love to see an Avs/'Canes Cup series, and this may just be the year that happens.

Problem is this: these terrible win totals are far too common for this franchise, while winning seasons are far too infrequent. This team’s only consistent at being below average. I do hope Tepper can change that, and I know he’d LIKE to, but the jury remains out so far.

Think of this. The Panthers have won the same number of games over the past three seasons, 15 in total, as they did in the Super Bowl season. 15-33 (soon to be 34) versus 15-1. That’s nuts.

This team sucks. And with another year of Rhule we can expect the same next year.

Imagine a world where Taysom fuging Hill at QB is enough to scare an opposing Panthers squad. But here we are….

You could give this regime a millennia to win a SB and it wouldn’t happen. They’re just not competent, plain and simple. My greatest hope is that the Panthers have the right owner to win a SB…with that, they’ll eventually find the right coaching staff. If not, the Panthers will remain mediocre at best even with a great coaching staff. The jury is still out on Tepper, but I suspect we will get a glimpse of our answer to this question very soon.

Rhule is an arrogant prick. That is also 1000% working.

The beginning of a long streak of terrible seasons unless something drastically changes.

Another year with Darnold will lead to one more wasted year of the talent this team does have. He’s no longer a reclamation project…he’s a fuging bum and will never be any good. Never.

This team doesn’t even compete anymore. Dark days are upon us, and they’re just as bleak as ever.

I want another year with Cam, and a draft that includes at least one OL player. Seems the Panthers forgot those guys can actually be selected in the draft.

Sam’s “rut” has been…his entire NFL career. Cam’s “rut” has been ever since his shoulder got wrecked by Pittsburgh. I think he still has the arm strength, just his mechanics (which were always suspect anyway) got destroyed in that injury.

Good call. Hadn’t considered that. I hope you’re right as I’ll always revere Cam and what he did in Carolina.
