Keep him at RB he’s to good of a natural runner to waist him at WR. His injury this year is not because he’s taking hits he pulled his hammy in the open field which he could do just running routes. If we don’t want play him at RB trade him now while he still has value , I bet you the Bills or Ravens would love to have him at RB.If we was to trade we would need to pick up a RB because Hubbard dies not have the skill set of a elite back a.

CMC was in the open field not because of hits and he will last longer because his game is more to make you miss, Derrick Henry is a great player but he takes to many shots with his running style and you talk about force feeding somebody the ball that’s Henry .Warl Campbell was a bulldozer back in the day also but Emmitt Smith try to avoid a lot of contact and had the longer career.

If nobody wants to trade lineman then that should tell you they are the hardest position beside QB to find so maybe we shouldn’t spend a whole draft on defense or adding a wr and rb in the draft last year when we knew the online was terrible .Fix the line first before you add skill players or when you do fix the line the skill players will be to beat up to roll with anyways.

To be fair CMC was 21 when he came into the league Hubbard is 22 he should be a little stronger for a year older.Hubbard ceiling is a good back not elite , him and CMC are pretty equal in straight line speed but CMC you could tell coming out of college has way better change of direction , vision , short area quickness and a better pass catcher that’s why Chubba was still on the board in the 4 th round but he does give us some insurance if CMC goes down but like I’ve said this coaching staff starting with last year needs to quit babying CMC he is paid to play and if he goes down and Chubba is what we think then we keep rolling.

We ran the ball plenty our rb had 24 carries but their D wasn’t afraid of Hubbard and 4 yards in a cloud of dust. Should of got the ball more to DJ in the quick game screens, slants ,outs with the way our ol was blocking

He did what a backup should do he a had a workman like game but that was too many touches to give him 30 plus because if he’s going to get that many touches then he needs to produce at least 180 total yards and maybe a Td.Let’s see what he can do when he’s facing more 8 man boxes like the elite backs because the Eagles D was more concerned with stoping DJ yesterday then worrying about Hubbard avg 4 yd on a ton of touches.

I agree things can only get better then the last 2- weeks but Rhule needs to quit with this of protecting CMC if he’s on that practice field this week then he needs to play that’s why he makes the big bucks.This thing with his touches give him what ever it takes for us to win the game and limit them when we have a big lead like the Saints game . I agree we need CMC back first because even thought Hubbard had a ok game today , he doesn’t bring all the defense attention to him which helps DJ and Robbie get open and gives Darnold the safety blanket that he needs for him to be effective .Maybe take a look at David Castro or any trade for ol that we can get.

Hubbard should not have 30 plus touches and DJ and Robbie have 7 between them, I just don’t get giving a average back up RB that many touches.Rhule has to learn this is the NFL not college quit saving our best offense weapon for the games you might need him when we need him today. If we’re going to baby CMC then trade him now while he has value.
