I guess show we can get Hubbard 30 touches then we can sign him to a big contract before long

Why did we sign Robbie to a big contract if we’re just going to give Hubbard 30 touches before the day out.

Hubbard needs to learn if can’t pass block. then we need to keep him off the field.He will get Darnold killed

Agree 100 percent with you a switch is not the best thing and not to forget the player his self wouldn’t want it

The last 2 games last year he was healthy but we were out of the playoff hunt and kept him out which wasn’t a bad thing. I also think if Rhule knew we were contending fir the playoffs CMC probably would have came back from the ankle sprain and shoulder a little sooner. We are protecting him because Rhule knows our O line is terrible and we are still a couple seasons away from playoffs .When 75percent of our jersey sales are his the front office don’t want to damage that cash cow until they get it fixed

But this year and last very little touches are the true numbers

A lot of the talking heads. They wanted him to switch years ago but he refused because he played QB all his life and didn’t want it and I think that’s what you will find out with CMC

2020 and 2021 not to many touches but Dalvin Cook and Derrick Henry are right their or more miles as you sayLike I said if it was a lot of surgeries then that would have me worried.

Their was a certain QB this year everybody thought could make a switch because he was a big strong athlete and he couldn’t even grasp the little things like blocking

It’s simple he’s a RB that’s what he’s played since he was little and that’s what he wants. So we either play him or Trade him while he has value

All this talk that CMC would be a great slot is a disservice to the guys who have actually played slot all their life it isn’t so easy to just switch .

Will just have to disagree the hits are not adding up because none of his injuries are between the tackles but from the same spots on the field he would get from playing slot .That would be like telling Cam you can’t run with the ball from the QB position and have a lengthy career but if you switch to TE your career might last longer which they wanted to do in his early years with the Gators. Can didn’t want it and CMC doesn’t either which I think both should play the position we’re they are elite even if it shortens their career

I disagree if your not worried about him getting hurt you leave him at RB were he’s elite.He’s not getting hurt by men in the trenches his hammy was hurt in the open field , his ankle last year was out in space, and his shoulder was hurt by a safety when he caught the ball in the flat, his quad he hurt working out. You do know in the slot he will need to block down on DE and LB and the tunnel screeen and a lot of other short routes men in the trenches make them tackles. He wants to play RB and that’s what he was born to do because a lot of people forget a lot of time what sets him apart is his vision on running plays think back to the Jags game 2- years ago. If these injuries required surgeries to his knees or shoulders then RB might be the problem but with the injuries he’s had the last 2 years moving to WR will not stop them.

No CMC Vikings 31-14 Trade CMC now while he still has value the season is done with out him at RB .Bring in a starting RB in the draft next year but not in the early rounds that’s for o line or sign one in free agency.Next year’s draft should be all offense get a 1st round pick for CMC while we still can

That’s it he’s great coming out of the backfield , I don’t think in the slot on every play but I don’t think we should move an elite talent from RB because we’re afraid he might get hurt.If he’s in the slot and he has weak hammy then that’s a lot more stress on running routes unless you want him to be like Moss and the ball not coming to him just jog or take the play off.

I don’t think you move talent who is a great RB to be maybe a good WR. If we don’t want him at RB trade him before the deadline

I don’t think he would fail at it but it took Edel 4 years before he really took off and Edel might have better short area quickness then CMC he did run a sub 4.0 in the short shuttle and most slot wr have fast short shuttle times.I’m not arguing with you I just think CMC is better as a RB . I thing CMC takes more abuse when we ask him to pick up the blitz or cut a DT then he does when running the ball because he was taught from his dad I’m sure to taking a lot of glancing blows when he runs between the tackles. If was to be great slot wr like Edel then he would have to chip down on DE and linebackers and if we’re worried about injuries not sure how long he would last not to forget Edel is one tough son of a itch. I think this injury like another poster said might be more in his training then his touches.I think he could benefit if we could find another 3rd down back and move him to slot on passing downs for somebody else to pick up the blitz.I also think we need to find a bruiser back to help at the goal line and to close out games. Then if is still getting hurt he’s just injury prone but to be fair we need to see what he would do behind a real o line

I did and I guess you couldn’t see that Cook had injury concerns coming out of College but maybe you can suggest he switch to the slot to prolong his career.

He’s not overused more like coddle by the coaches but I would say behind this line I don’t think their is a back in the NFL who would last a full season.

He’s not a elite slot receiver but he is a RB if he’s playing on the field .Edelman x 3 lol you do realize he was of the best ever in the slot . What makes you think he could ?Running routes from the backfield is not the same as having a defender line up in front you sometimes . He’s played RB all his life and if you want transition later maybe but he’s to valuable to make that move at this stage of his career

He’s Elite as a RB not a slot Wr. If you want a slot WR we should just trade him we can pick up one of those in the draft. Heck you can find capable slot WR sometimes in Free Agency like Danny Amendola

You want CMC as a WR but Cook as a RB I had to laugh at that, Cook can’t stay on the field with injuries we’re as CMC it’s more the coaches protecting him like a baby

He has 1070 touches in 4 half seasons not sure I would call that over used. If they could spell him at the end of games when we have a big lead instead of taking hits that would be nice.
