Big Board & Pick 39: Offensive Skill Player Rankings
rebelrouser replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
He turned on his qb on live t.v. and has had two ankle surgeries. Hard pass. Now that we've signed a te, i would think pick 39 is definitely a wr if Hyatt or Downs if there are available, Washington the big TE from UGA if they are not. -
Now? We started with scraps. Jakobi Meyers was the top FA and he's getting 11m. I don't see Chark being much of a downgrade other than the injury history.

Big Board & Pick 39: Offensive Skill Player Rankings

I think your list shows that we don't need to trade draft picks to move up. Washington, Hyatt or Downs at 39. -
No. He is getting 2x his Bengals salary for some reason.
-
Doubled his salary. Good for him. Hopefully Schultz and Geisicki get a lot more so this doesn't look so bad. Not sure why we needed to sign a 29 yo for 3 year deal.
-
No. It's being reported to be in excess of 9m which is way too much for this guy. Also, re[ported to be for 3 years, which seems too long if we want a rookie TE too. Bengals were paying him 3.5m, and he missed a good chunk of the season.
-
Yes it did. I said Hurst was not a good pick up, and he is not a good pick up at that price. First bad FA move that will cost us next year.

Frank Reich has NO EXCUSES… playoffs or bust in 3 seasons
rebelrouser replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope Reich reads this thread because there is no way he is drafting Anthony Richardson with these expectations. Young is the way to have immediate success. -
Neither Waller nor Hurst makes any sense. They both get hurt a lot. Age 30 and 29 respectively. They both cost too much. Go get Schultz or Geisicki. Stupid to pay Hurst 9M if that is true (again i don't believe it).

Man those Jets WRs like Elijah Moore that wanted traded last year are really going to want to be traded this year. Problem getting all your WRs involved? Sign another one for 44m no problem.
-
That's exactly how i know too. He was released by someone and I thought i hit the jackpot and then he sat out most of the year. My point is that he is now old and injury prone and not worth the gamble. Would you take him in fantasy next year? I wouldn't.
-
Yeah, but he was hurt for almost the whole year. His body seems to be breaking down at 31. He could be completely healthy in '23, but i wouldn't gamble on that. Would much rather have a rookie TE that can grow with CJ or Schultz or Geisecki.
-
He only played 9 games last year. Sounds like he is damaged goods to me.
-
Oops. That is right. Also, for Hopkins, can we absorb his 25m salary? No.
-
Jameis to Saints for 8m and Heinike back to Commandos for 7m.
-
Give away more draft picks? Between Rhule and this new staff, we are draft pick poor.
-
Are you suggesting we leave our rookie qb with what we have at WR? Good idea. Let's let him stand in the pocket waiting for this bunch to get open and take some nice hits. We already mentioned that the WR cost is not looking that bad w/ Jakobi Meyers getting 11m.
-
JSN won't be around for our round 2 pick. Besides, I am not sold on the top wr prospects, but i am sold on the depth of this class. Projections are all over the place but someone has to fall to round 3 and that could be Josh Downs, Jalin Hyatt or Rashee Rice. I've seen those guys a lot higher than round 3, but i've seen projections that have those 3 in round 3 as well.
-
For all the talk of wrs going quick, only Robert Woods has signed w/ the Texans. All of those wrs still available including Chark. We might get one for less than 10m.
-
I'm not a fan of Sutton either especially w/ the draft capital we would have to give up. We need a wr/te in free agency.
-
Not me; he is the reason i didn't want AR. We really screwed the Colts. Their pick is just not that valuable right now.
-
Raiders are preparing to take AR and sit him behind Jimmy for a couple of years.
