  1. I was bitching about this pick on an Ole Miss board and someone reminded me that Ole Miss has a long record of wrs putting up pedestrian numbers in college and then blowing up in the NFL (Laquon Treadwell being the exception, but his injury was gruesome).
  2. We'll know if we take Kool-Aid McKinstry next year.
  3. Alabama vs. UT = 35-52, 455 yds, 2td Alabama vs. A&M = did not play Alabama vs. LSU = 25-51, 328 yds, 1td 1int in what most consider his worst game. Neither Metchie nor Williams played for Alabama in 2022. Their wide receiver room took a big step back in 2022 where they were forced to start two sophomores and their third leading receiver was Jahmyr Gibbs, who failed to hit the 1,000 mark in rushing. The drop off in supporting offensive talent for Young in 2022 was huge, but yet he somehow managed to almost get them in the playoffs and only lost to LSU by 1 and UT by 3. Alabama's oline took a step back too with only one draft pick. They did a poor job pass blocking for Young too.
  4. If that is true, you should be calling for Fitterer's head. He traded away a 3rd and a 4th to move up to get him. And don't tell me it was Rhule because he had 0 motivation to spend draft capital on a developmental qb when he was on the hot seat.
  5. Well he was 54.7% in college. Maybe being on a new team and throwing against professionals will get that number up.
  6. This is B.S. and you know it. Rock Hill didn't pay the share they promised he was just supposed to accept that? He breached the contract, had his real estate company declare bankruptcy so he could limit the damages he had to pay, and then settled for 20M. Yeah, Tepper was the good guy. This is how the rich get to screw people over without any personal accountability. Tepper is a billionaire a-hole. Put some damn grass in that stadium you cheap bastard.
  7. Most annoying thing about the fan base right now. I don't get it.
  8. I forgot about the Brown's guy giving Deshaun Watson that contract, but you know who else was in the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes until the end? David Tepper. I will also admit the Texans owner is pretty bad. The rest on that list are clearly above Tepper (I'm not counting Washington since he is pretty much out).
  9. And they got a good draft pick out of it. What did we get with Steve Wilks? A slight moral victory and no. 9 pick that forced us to mortgage our future. Tepper not only hired Matt Rhule but paid him way too much and left him in control too long. He then defrauded an entire South Carolina town. We have fake turf. The list goes on and on. He is worse than even Irsay. It's telling you mentioned only one other owner in response.
  10. I think he won the title of worst owner in the league. Now let's see if he can improve. I can't imagine him being any worse.
  11. Bama had one oline taken #65. That is pretty bad for them. And 0 wr taken.
  12. Deonte Brown 2.0. Love the pick, but not the notion that he is going to start for us.
  13. This is an excellent topic that shows how difficult the draft is when you trade away your picks every year. I would have traded back from 39 to take a cb or wr. The bottom line is that there was a run on wrs and edge rushers we liked.
  14. A sixth year senior with a history of back surgery is going to start for us?
  15. Go back and watch the film when he got hurt. That fat ass Deonte Brown did nothing to stop the rush. Is he even going to get picked up by another NFL team?
  16. Thanks for posting. I wonder if we are ever going to find out how bad Stroud's total S2 was.
  17. We must not value the draft very much. As someone else said, this was a Fitterer pick not a Rhule pick obviously. Sam Darnold: 6, 2, and a 4. CJ Henderson: 3 + Dan Arnold. Matt Corral: 4 and a 3. A 2, two 3's, two 4's, and a 6 for what? If Bryce Young fails, the Carolina Panthers are the new Browns.
  18. OBJ, Lenny Fournette (for a while), Kayshon Boutte, Tyson Jackson, Jamarcus Russel, Dwayne Bowe, Glenn Dorsey, Derrius Guice, Barkevious Mingo. They had some hit but that is a lot of fail right there and bad attitudes to go with it.
  19. LSU players tend to have a lot of entitlement issues. Maybe that is why we passed on BJ Ojulari.
  20. I would agree as he is a very convenient scape goat. We will never truly know the degree of control Matt Rhule (he both claimed he was in control and that he was not in separate articles) actually had, but Tepper and Fitterer giving the man total control speaks to their decision making ability.
  21. Every day Scott Fitterer looks more and more out of his depth. From Cat Scratch Reader: Ouch. Fitterer being the genius that traded for Sam Darnold too.
  22. Really? Mingo is no AJ Brown. I watched them both in college. AJ could get separation. Maybe the corners in the NFL are slower than they are in college.
  23. Bryce Young = B he was the best player in the draft but we gave up the farm to get him. I like trading to 1 rather than 2 or 3 though. Jonathan Mingo = C+ the last big physical wr and we took him about where he was slotted. WR who doesn't get open but can catch disputed balls. We had a lot of options here but the biggest was the LSU Edge rusher. All in all, there was no WR like him with our next pick. DJ Johnson = D there was no need to panic and trade down here. We have a wr that can't get open in Wingo and now an edge rusher who can't get to the quarterback. He's also old at 24. Chandler Zavala = A- great value this late. Always a good idea to build the oline Jammie Robinson = A- can play multiple positions; dude loves football. That works out to a B-.
