  1. So only rounds 1 and 2 yield starters? That makes no sense. There would be no way to field a team.
  2. Exactly. We seem to have a staff and fan base that is hell bent on adding a mediocre go-nowhere qb to a team that already has a mediocre go-nowhere qb.
  3. would much rather have Baker but not wild about either. Garappolo just had throwing arm shoulder surgery.
  4. So in two years with limited picks we take three guards (Christensen and Brown) and have a gaping hole at LT? That is not smart.
  5. I just hope there is a consensus that none of them are worth the 6 pick.
  6. So basically a complete waste of a pick. We spent a third round pick on a guy that will never start for us. What happened to the guard from Bama? Let me guess; he is still a fat slob.
  7. That is a nightmare scenario. We would end up w/ a hole at LT and Sam Darnold still having to play qb because Pickett is not ready to stand behind our oline and succeed.
  8. You take Neal all day over Cross. He is the real deal day 1 LT. The med eval rumors are b.s. Hell, they may have been started by us.
  9. Unspecified teams w/ unspecified medical condition? Please. We have doctors too. Biggest bunch of crap i have heard all week.
  10. Willis is a poor man's trey lance or jordan love. He certainly won't be ready for '22 if ever. The fact that this guy has Corral at 5 makes me think he is an idiot. I like Howell as a second round bargain but no way i would draft him before Corral.
  11. Darnold sucked last year, but we did not provide him with a workable oline. If he does well this year, sign him to a modest K or let him walk w/ a compensatory pick and trade down for a new qb.
  12. Darnold has trouble when his line doesn't give him time to throw. So we traded for him and gave him a line that doesn't give him time to throw.
  13. He won't be a hall of famer. LOL. Not even close. Give us your picks and take him at 6.
  14. Hell no. There are several disaster scenarios presenting themselves (like taking a qb at 6) and this is one of them.
  15. And what would those players (Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, and Jones) be ranked in this qb class? No. 1. You don't take a qb at 6 in this draft. At best, you trade back and take a Corral or Howell who might end of being a Mahomes or Allen.
  16. We simply cannot use pick 6 for a qb. No one in this class is worthy of that pick. Will one or more of them become NFL starters? Sure. Maybe one or two but it is a crap shoot of who that will be. We can simply sit back and telegraph the idea that we are going to take a qb at six knowing the pick is OT and let others sweat. Let's see what the Browns want to do when it looks like they will cut him, eat his salary, and let him go to Steelers. They will NOT let that happen because it will make them look really bad. We can get a really good deal for Baker if we are patient. If we miss out? Who cares. Take the OT and be ready to find a qb next year.
  17. McShay during Alabama game Remember when he looked like he was strung out during the Alabama Miami game last year and then he took time off from ESPN to address his health? Something is odd. Not sure why he would burn these bridges considering the job he has.
  18. That is a fair argument, but we are not likely to have the number 1 pick or be able to trade for someone like Wilson. QB's are a crap shoot and Darnold is not the answer. I would be willing to take a flyer on a Matt Corral or Sam Howell in the second round.
  19. This would be an A+ draft for us but would require a good deal of luck. We probably couldn't trade down past Chargers at 17 and still get Pennington. A decent qb should be left for us in round 2 though.
  20. 1. not mobile but yet quick to run at the first sign of pressure (this will be a good look with our crap oline--he will be as bad or worse than Darnold under pressure; 2. small hands will lead to fumbles when his slow ass gets sacked; 3. lacking arm strength and ability to stretch the field; and 4. he's 24, had one good year in a weak conference, and has a low ceiling that will mean he will be mediocre at best. He is Darnold 2.0. Should we use a no. 6 pick to clone Sam Darnold?
  21. 6????? Not one of these guys is worthy of the 6 pick and sure as hell not a guy w/ a weird knee issue. Would much rather have Corral, but i'm an Ole Miss fan that watched him play a lot and he is not worth a 6 pick either.
  22. What? He does not remotely have the potential Burrow did. Pickett will allow us to double up on mediocre qb's who can't do anything behind a poor oline.
  23. If Neal or Ekwonu are there at 6 then take them. If not, trade back. Howell, Ridder, and Strong are just as likely to be NFL qb's as Corral, Willis, and Pickett. This is a very unimpressive qb class. Not sure why everyone loves Fields. He is no better than Darnold.
