He is a distraction that players and coaches have to talk about in interviews, and the fear that he may start again and he has to give off negative energy in the locker room It would be best for the team to show we are moving on from our mistake , and rally behind Dalton to get what we can out of this season And we don't hate Bryce the person, he just can't play Qb in this league, and we have given him enough time to improve, but he is getting worse, and shows no drive or determination to work to get better He is a liability even as a back-up, and we will eventually have to release him unless we can fleece another team like Bryce did to us to trade for him

The Jags wouldn't fall for that ,unless we put some 1st round draft picks on the table

Andy comes in and looks like the Dalton of old, and our next game is against the team that drafted him and he led out of darkness into the playoffs, on Monday Night Football Something is happening here Watch Canales say Bryce is starting against Cincy(something I'm going to fear untill he is gone)

Another reason why the sooner Bryce is gone , the better , so players and coaches won't have to talk about him anymore

Iirc he played with Dalton in Cincy , maybe his former QB called him and explained the reality of the situation

Hate to disagree with you TD, there is nothing to suggest he will be in the NFL much longer after we release or trade him

Even if Andy falls back down to Earth , or gets Injured Bryce is not a reliable back-up, we would be better off letting Chubba take the snaps and run wildcat than letting Bryce back onto the field We need to just cut our losses and cut him, he is one player I am 99% sure will not make any other roster, what we gave up for him is lost , he has 0 trade value Just cut him and sign another veteran back-up to Dalton , that is the best path forward

I don't remember that, but let's say your right Cam called guys out his rookie season for just going through the motions and being happy to be there, Cam singlehandedly changed our culture to expect bigger horizions , so if he did want to take some time off , he more than earned it Bryce however earned squat, he should have spent all off-season trying to improve, if he cared about, but by him saying he did nothing but chill means he is content just showing up losing and going home, he probably wouldn't practice if it was optional

We ruined Jimmy Clausen by not doing that, should have kept Jake to start untill he was ready and mentored him when he did start has the back-up , but alot of different reasons why that didn't happen I'm not going to rehash However I don't think there was anything we could have done to make Bryce taller and stronger and faster , he isn't an NFL QB , and the media may say he is good and no QB can succeed in Carolina , untill he gets picked up by another franchise and cut a week later

I don't forsee Bryce succeeding, both Baker and Sam had competent QB play, even under Macadoodo I could be wrong, but I just don't think he has the abilities to succeed at this level Some team will pick him up, but I don't see him lasting long

Yeah, Our biggest problem is in the owners booth, David Tepper took this from a somewhat successfull and respectable young franchise to the most Disfunctional clownshow in the history of professional sports Still though, both Baker and Sam showed signs of being a competent NFL starter,Sam almost got us to the playoffs, Bryce has shown nothing I don't forsee him being successful in the NFL for any team

I don't know , will this be another year of playoff failure ? it's starting to wear on me Still a Canes fan though , and still support them, I just want another cup and we are so close, but we fall apart against legit teams in the playoffs , we almost got it back if Freddy could move without falling over Sigh, Go Canes !!!!!

I was heavily against the Riech hire, I wanted a proven winner like Payton, or a proven leader like Wilks But it didn't matter who we hired , Tepper The Clown was going to undermine them and micro manage, and just was hiring a fall guy Bryce Young is a coach killer, a bad player propped up by ownership, it didn't matter if we hired Andy Reid , even he would go 0-10 with Bryce I hope Frank decides to come back into coaching with a legitimate owner and an NFL QB, I wouldn't want the end of my legacy to be David Tepper and Bryce Young.
