Liverpool have rejected Man City's £30m offer for Raheem Sterling. City set to increase bid to £40m in the next few days. Liverpool expected to reject that as well. City will need to pay £50m.

This pretty much sums it up. Milner will be good from a leadership/experience standpoint to bridge the gap between Stevie and no Stevie. Ings is young and fine for depth purposes. But neither makes us a contender.

Rumors flying around that Ian Ayre is set to depart Liverpool. This tells me that Rodgers had better win before Christmas.
-
Sergio Aguero is one of the best strikers in the world when he's healthy. Would be an amazing player at RM.

Liverpool are set to sign Adam Bogdan on a free. If that happens, our first three signings this summer will be frees. Two of which are from Championship sides. #ambition

Liverpool are apparently in talks with Arsenal about the possibility of swapping Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott for Raheem Sterling. EDIT: Well, maybe not. Just read the source originated from ESPN.
-
Apparently we value Benteke at £20m and Villa value him at £32m. I don't see an agreement happening there. If we can get Milner, Ings, and Clyne for under £20m, I won't be too upset. Provided we switch our attention to striker and throw some serious wages at a good player.

Kroos and Veratti could hub the midfield for years. Could almost run a variable double pivot with those two.
-
Interesting. Could be a solid deep lying playmaker for years. Quite young.
-
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that he is taking time off football for a while. Hopefully his time off lasts as long as the remainder of Rodgers tenure with Liverpool.
-
Lyon president has told Liverpool Lacazette will not move to Anfield due to lack of Champions League qualification. Scratch him off an already dwindling list of targets.

I don't think it's likely, but I do think it's possible. Sterling is only 20 years old and has a ton of potential. He is Rafa's boy and Rafa could use him well. Maybe not an instant impact guy, but within 2 years. Could ****** him up to prevent him going to Barca.
-
Jackson Martinez is class. Porto fuged themselves with such a low buyout for him.
-
Makes sense. Rafa brought Sterling to Liverpool. All I ask is that you guys overpay, please.
-
I think Liverpool are contacting a few managers at the moment. They will replace Rodgers only if they can find a world class manager to step in. Ancelotti apparently says he plans on taking a year off. Now, I'm sure that's just his polite way of saying he's not interested, but I think it shows Liverpool are looking at replacements.

Soccer fans of the Huddle have challeneged this subforum
DirtyMagic97 replied to Zod's topic in Charlotte Football Club
This is neither the biggest story in soccer history or actually news at all. It is one step in the right direction. Unless this somehow brings down basically every member of FIFA, including Blatter, it will remain business as usual with FIFA. -
Seriously yes plz
-
Yea, we need a fast, physical presence up top who can create for himself as well as those around him. I've never been overly impressed with Mandzukic, but I wouldn't be too arsed if we signed him.
-
He did call us glory hunting Americans and then like two sentences later admit to cheering for 3 of the world's biggest clubs at various points in his life.
-
Seriously? Scroll up two posts.
-
Apparently he's said somewhere that those aren't his words. I dunno. If he did say that, Sterling has to wake up and realize he's being handled by a c*nt.

2014/15 Barclays Premier League Season
DirtyMagic97 replied to DirtyMagic97's topic in Charlotte Football Club
Man, Arsenal really seemed to lose interest down the stretch this season. -
I hate sell-on clauses. Why the fug would we agree to a 25% sell-on clause with a 15 year-old?
-
Raheem Sterling reportedly has a sell-on clause from his original transfer from QPR in 2010. We'd owe QPR 20% if we sell to a domestic club and 25% if we sell abroad.
