  1. Nevermind that he currently plays from the pocket. Brees played from the pocket. Murray currently is playing from the pocket...
  2. I'm not blaming CJ for throwing to open WRs. that's is what he supposed to do. I'm saying as an evaluator, it's hard to evaluate someone whose 1st read is always opened. Yes, they look good now, but will they, if they have to consistently go thru progression? the truth is we don't know that abt CJ, due to the talent he has. can he do it? sure he can, but we don't know. lots of ppl r mocking current results. that's why the draft is not a science & ppl take Baker Mayfield & Sam Darnold over Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson... CJ has a big arm & his accurate, but QB at the NFL level is about going thru progression, read complex defenses, manipulate defenses etc...In that dept. I'm giving Bryce the edge because I'm seeing him do that right now with less talent. I disagree with you that Bama's talent this year (especially on offense) is head & shoulder above their all of their competition. Speaking of Mocks, I haven't seen anybody mock Burton in 1st round...
  3. Better rated playing with 1st rounders at WR in a conference OSU dominates. Context matter... Not having to use his legs speaks more to the supreme talent he plays with, than his own. If you watch the tape, he gets to throw to his 1st read 8 times out of 10. Meanwhile, Bryce doesn't have a single WR projected anywhere close to 1st round or 2nd this year.
  4. u clearly haven't watched Bryce play, if you think he is similar to Tua. Tua had talent galore at WR. Bryce doesn't have 1 WR projected in the 1st 3rounds of this draft. Reason OSU & Bama QBs are not great in the NFL, is because they have so much talent on offense, they get to throw to their 1st read more often than not. if you watched Tua, Fields it jumped out. In the NFL, your 1st read is not usually opened. Bryce with this year's team, doesn't have that luxury. But his play is still outstanding, because of his supreme talent, ability to operate in the pocket & manipulate defenses as he goes thru all of his reads. PPL talk about size, but that's not a worry to me, because the NFL protects QBs so much, you can hardly touch them anymore. Tua was fragile even in college. Bryce played last week with a shoulder injury and took some crazy hits, yet finished the game strongly.
  5. I feel like Hayward is very expendable at this point. Coach says he is the "calming" force at the end of games, but honestly, he doesn't take over. He is just another player out there. We should only have 2 years left on his contract after next this year, hope we can move him next year for a legit big man or clutch scorer.
  6. Until you have a real QB, you can't compete year in year out in the NFL. If I'm Carolina, I'm giving up: CMAC: Great RB, Good slot Receiver. Injury prone the past 2 seasons. Brian Burns: Up & coming DE on rookie contract with 5 yr option. Love Burns, he can be really good, but not a game changer every single sunday. Sam Darnold: NO COMMENT. Just get him out of here. Robby Anderson: NO COMMENT. Just get him out of here. 2022 1st rd & 2023 2nd round Picks: This needs to be included to beat out MIA & PHI who both have several 1st round the next few years. Use the rest of your draft & free agency to build a real OLine & you can be a serious contender year in & year out.
  7. Re-sign D-jax & move him to free safety...move Chinn to strong. keep everybody else in the secondary. Trade Robby, get high pick(s), Pay DJ... One can only dream.
  8. lol, that's like saying "Seeing Bitcoin at $50k now makes me wonder more if I should have bought it at $20 ten years ago instead of that McDonald"... How was Fitt supposed to know that he going to get these guys for at this price?
  9. I agree, but that Detroit LT was a started even after they drafted Sewell. He lost it because of injury and Sewell is playing well...So this is unique to me. But I do agree with you that good OLINE is normally thru the draft.
  10. One thing ppl forget is that GMs even with draft capitol & money, still have to make good decisions bringing talent. Fitt has shown that he can sign/draft good talent at several positions. OFFENSIVE LINE is not one of them if you judge by his free agency acquisitions. Elflein & Erving were DAY 1 signings...DAY 1!!! that means you had ur pick of the litter, u evaluated everyone & decided these 2 were what u needed. offered them relatively big contracts which I don't believe they would have gotten anywhere else. 2 of the worst lineman you could have sign even at the end of free agency were picked up on DAY 1. So going into next year, I trust Fitt on every position BUT the OLINE. I really hope I'm wrong!
  11. Carolina under Rhule was streaky last year. When we won, we aligned victories (3 in row) last year, and when we lost, we also aligned them as well. We just had 3 in row, so hoping we can keep the streak going, otherwise we may see a streak the other way if last year is any indication. Needless to say, I hope I'm wrong in the sense that, we can bounce right back in case of a lost.
  12. Would you trade Robby for Denzel Mims plus 3rd from the JETS? With us losing picks and needing to fix the O LINE, I honestly think Robby can be key in fixing our OLINE. Even with the cap space, we have a lot of mouths to feed within the next 2 years. I love Robby, but with CMC & MOORE, he is our 3rd best option at best. We currently don't have the OLINE to use his best skill which is deep balls. Mims has lots of potential & he is unwanted in NY. He also has the Matt Rhule connection (just like Robby) and will be hell of alot cheaper. I don't know if this will be a in-season trade, but definitely worth checking this off-season.
  13. Cardinal 3rd best & better than Larry fitz in his 40th year in the league??? Sorry but you sound like Carolina traded prime Greg Olsen... Dan may turn out to be very good, but so far, he has been a journey man who had 2 good showing on his new team. We got a potential future #1 CB (arguably the most important position on defense) but u r concerned about Dan a TE?
  14. Proven after 3 games? come on. Dan was a journey man with potential we signed this off season. He had a poor showing against the Jets and good games against both Saints & Houston. That is not a "proven" 3rd down weapon. Marshall is actually the one being targeted on big 3rd down (at least the past game). This trade may go down as one of the greatest robbery.
  15. I agree on the Robby take. I think if we can showcase him this season, he has a lot of trade value. Not sure what the dead money is going to be if we part ways, but we could probably trade him picks or OL.
  16. Also, that 5th is going to be an early one the way Jacksonville is looking.
  17. How many targets? You can't catch if u r not targeted...
  18. Less impressive than the Broncos who played JACKSONVILLE, JETS & GIANTS? GTFOH. Lolll.
  19. I was talking about draft pick not grade...top 10 draft picks from the year prior doesn't get traded for a 3rd & Dan (especially at corner)...This will prove to be a steal if he can stay healthy both physically & emotionally.
  20. This might not be popular, but honestly at this point, if we keep Donte, I would have him play free safety. I think he can be super elite at that position vs good CB. I don't think he would want to do that, but that would take this defense to another level. Move Chinn to strong safety roaming in the box...SHHHHHHH
  21. if we make the playoffs and pick in the 20s, unless there is player we absolutely want, we are trading out of the 1st round for sure. or at the very least, moving back some spots to collect 2nd & 3rd.
  22. We didn't even use TE last year. Now we have Tremble and Ian VS whoever & Ian last year...I'm not sure why ppl act like we are the 2010 Patriots with Gronk & Hernandez. If anything, that is going to help utilize Robby a little more. On the other hand, we never had this much talent at CB, which is arguably the most important position on defense. THIS IS HUGE!
  23. He was a top 10 CB last year. CB value in the league is really high. to get him for a 3rd and Dan can prove to be a steal. Draft picks are good, but you use them to draft young players who can contribute. losing a 3rd round for someone who was drafted in the top 10 last year, is tremendous. I have faith in the coaching stuff to develop him.
  24. I think he has potential, thus the reason I think he can be traded. My logic is that the production is nothing to write home about, and with the emergence of Tremble, I rather give Tommy more time to continue to improve. I don't think we will re-sign him (at least I don't think we should), so I rather get something for him now rather than let him walk for nothing.
  25. U rather keep Ian for for this year rather than a 6th? That means you want to sign him to a long term contract? I don't man...I rather get something for a guy we are not going to resign than just let him walk. Especially when his production can easily be replaced for the rest of the year.
