  1. So true. Everyone was worried about the D, especially with Luke and Bradberry gone and the decimation for the Dline. The D exceeded expectations. The O did not.
  2. You know, he still needs one, at least according to Brady.
  3. It was interesting he talked about Tremble as a complete TE, both blocking and receiving. I wonder if Arnold just comes out in the RZ.
  4. To be fair, he set records at the college level, and ran the offense for a team last year that was in midst of total rebuild and coaching turnover, during a pandemic, that resulted in career years for the QB, back up RB, and 3 Wrs, without his most effective offensive weapon and starting LT. We exceeded expectations, lost 8 games by less than score and came a field goal away from beating the previous SB champions who marched right back to the SB. If he does for Darnold what he did for Burrow....
  5. I'd be curious for a play how you divide credit between playcaller and execution. An important part of the scheme is reading the D and adjusting. This is an odd bird.
  6. Horns gonna be great. Dan Arnold looks lean there but Derick Brown looks like he's football ready.
  7. Two things jumped out at me. -They are using virtual reality to help train the qb This makes sense because seeing a formation on film is different than seeing it from the pocket. I would love to learn more about this. -They are practicing subtle movements to stay in the pocket. This feels very Brady/Breeze-ish.
  8. So whats with the couch thing?
  9. Two things that struck me. DJ really seems more together. I don't know if its an age or expereience thing, but he appears to be in a good place. The other his his comment that Horn is as advertised I'm guessing the rookie must have impressed.
  10. He looks fast even in a still shot.
  11. Yeah, I remember in Thomas's presser he talked about difficulty learning the new system last year with covid and zoom...so maybe it is all mental mistakes and not mastering the offense.
  12. Nope it doesn't. Just another data point that points in the same direction.
  13. I found him starting to talk about missed opportunities to say HE had to get better, refreshing. I think we are lucky as long as we have him.
  14. Link:https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1vAxRwBDvNYKl New people or not, we need to put up points Brushed off questions on interviewing, last thing on his mind What on Darnold''s tape pre-trade impressed: Seeing him make reads, make throws, play off schedule, identifying protection Getting a young vet was extremely enticing to us Mindset has not changed on CMC post injury. You can feel the difference when he's on the field. CMC's work ethic is impressive Asked about Teddy's comments on rz and 2 min Brushed off- but did say we had a lot of 2 min opportunities and we didn't.....I didn't get the job done. I evaluate myself every year and we just got to be better in those situations He thinks it important to involve the TEs. The system he grew up in, the TE's were most important position and he wants them in the passing game Marshal's mindset separates him, never to high or low, productive every game, would have been more if not surrounded by other great players, I don't see Tremble as just a run blocker, I see him as complete TE System needs to evolve every year. OTA reps are so vital. Question about David Moore....we have two David Moores. Still coming up with the names to differentiate. Need a name for Brady Christensen too cause they're both Brady. Darnold still is on mattress on the floor... he is all ball and wants success. On WR David Moore- has made plays, hope to help us 3rd down an RZ Samuel's third down touches will be distributed based on situation and performance
  15. link:Sean Ryan Press Conference / Twitter Ryan evaluated the QB's in the draft, wrote a report as input to the draft decisions Right now they start training from feet up. Working ton on footwork. Focus on understanding our offense and how applies to defensive looks, decision making, ball security, footwork, throwing and rhythm On Darnold: The guys got arm talent, toughness, football IQ, He's learning a new language He's a football junkie, talks ball He's serious, dedicated, professional, he loves football The 3 QBs are working with each other and helping each other...its a great vibe How do you all of sudden improve his decision making? This is our progression vs this defensive look in this concept.... over and over again...in the virtual reality and then off of film and then on the field. until its ingrained and decision making is improved Less moving parts=greater accuracy, focusing on subtle movements to stay in the pocket Ball drills and throwing bags at them to improve sublet movement in the pocket "I can't answer what happened the last 3 years"
  16. Other teams hear about it like we here did. When he's cut, they'll call and ask Rhule about him. It's just a bad play for Thomas.
  17. Great. Now people are posting more pictures of couches. Blast you David N E W T O N! I should have never mentioned the couch.
  18. Well, the quote was said in the first time line, and there he proceed to die a gruesome death....and I was never clear if 2nd one was really him cause they had to replant....wait ...what am I doing... wrong server.. Sorry.
  19. Here let me help you. Doug Farrar is a moron who writes clickbait.
