    I had to look it up cause I was curious. Officially S.A.M stands for Surface to Air Missile. Darnold does kind of have an arm like that. I like it. That's clever way to show support.

    To be fair, I do something similar saying that Darnold may bust. But the haters create an environment where the fans are hesitant to post, or feel they have to constantly defend positive posts, about the Panthers QB.. on the Panthers message board.. and that is bullsht.

    I think what may be happening is some fans, who are open minded about Darnold, are sick of the shade being thrown his way by supposed "fans"....to a point where whenever someone posts something positive about him, the Darnold Bashers swoop in. It got old. The deed is done. He's our QB. If they truly want him to succeed, they sure don't act like it.

    True. Teddy's play also fell off a cliff for the rest of the season. That saints game was painful too.

    Nahh, I was just playing the same stupid game with him he was playing with others on the thread. No precedent is going to change anyone's mind at this point. There are quarterback failures and rebounds. Darnold is gamble...we'll see if Fit and Rhule are right.

    I've made my point. The precedent game is stupid. The data set is small and varied. Darnold may bust, he may be mediocre, he may be more. We can play this stupid game of finding the ultimate comparison, but I find it boring now.

    I was thinking just softening his landing so other coaches know he's put in the work. I would be surprised if we got anything for him.

    I expected more from you, with all of your precision. Bortles was 5 year with the Jax. Joey Harrington was 4 years with Det. Akili Smith was never traded or played anywhere else. Heath Schuler didn't make it to 3 years and Joe Gibbs was a HOF football coach BTW. You suck at your own game.

    Precedent, that a qb sucked for a few years in the nfl and turned his career around? There's a bunch. Your turn. Show me a qb, top 3 pick, who started day 1, with an Oline with the highest pressure rate, with receivers with the dropsies, with horrific coaching, no run game, was traded, and then DIDN'T turn his career around. Surely there's a precedent.
