  1. Oh yeah. When do we play TB?
  2. Baptism by fire. He took a lot of lumps last year as a rookie...but that D finished pretty strong.
  3. Me too. I think Pride is slightly faster than Taylor, but a little smaller...they add great depth. The potential is there. C'mon Snow, take us there.
  4. I think part of it was the turmoil on the team, the new playbook, and Covid. In his presser he talked about how hard it was for him to learn the new scheme without preseason last year...and when I hear about the mental mistakes this year.... If he had been in the same scheme year in and out, I think he would have done better. But he was behind a healthy Olsen, and only shined when Greg got hurt. I'm not sure he's done playing, he's probably done playing for us.
  5. You know we have some awesome secondary. Pride has the speed. I hope he steps up this year.
  6. Had we won, Ealy might have won MVP, seriously.
  7. Teddy had a career year last year, and was probably hoping to have a chance to grow with us. He probably would have done better this year, especially with what we've added. He threw some shade, out of disappointment for the lost chance...and the clear signal we sent that it just wasn't in him. The shade he threw during the season I think was meant more as an excuse rather than attacking Brady, but I can see how some don't see it that way. He got paid, he's now the Bronco's to deal with.
  8. That's fair. I think they were trying to get the word out to other franchises that we were in the market so that we wouldn't miss any deals. I don't remember them saying "Teddy sucks" it was more, we want a new QB and want to be in on any deal...seriously call us. The net effect tho was as you said, it threw shade on Teddy. He landed on his feet though with 30 million. I think he hoped he could be our franchise QB. It just wasn't meant to be.
  9. I'm really not that upset about the contract. 20 mil a year was a going rate for a starting QB. We were going to suck last year and everyone knew it...the QB's weren't going to line up. We couldn't close the deal with Cam. We just had NO negotiating leverage. Hurney threw away draft picks left and right. Overpaying for a QB to hold the reins while we go thru TOTOAL rebuild from top to bottom is the least of Hurney's sins IMO.
  10. Maybe. I still think Teddy was always meant to just be a bridge, its even in his name. They knew his limitations just like we did. Did we overpay? Sure. Rhule had been coach for five minutes and Hurney still had at least some input. If its Rhule's biggest blunder, to overpay Teddy in a rebuild year, I can live with that.
  11. I think Rhule can get that ring. I really do.
  12. Seriously are you his agent? Cause you're good. Look. We are stocked at TE...other teams know that. He's on the ropes, we can't keep em. All they have to do is wait if they wanted him. I'm not saying he's not going to play again. I'm saying I don't think we COULD trade him.
  13. Why you poking the bear, man? You know there's a saying about that.
  14. Sounds kinda chicken-egg-ish. Are the defenses more gelled or do they look that way because the offenses don't have their sht together. Either way I'm with you on this.
  15. I agree. I also agree with the gist of the article that the defenses in the early part of the season are much easier.
  16. I agree with one caveat. If he looks bad the whole stretch, then yeah, this was a bad experiment. On the other hand, I wouldn't judge it on one game either.
  17. To be fair, these are the same guys that were really focused on Darnold's couch. They tried to bait Ryan to dis-on what happened at the jets. They asked questions like How are you going to "all of a sudden" make his decision making better? The "all of a sudden" is an unnecessary douche move. These guys leave out what would be a lot of good questions, like How is he progressing, what are you expectations and goals, are you doing anything special considering the history? Is he developing chemistry with his wrs? They watched the practice, they knew he looked good (per Zod) and then didn't give Ryan a chance to talk about it. If anything its the opposite. They're asking people "are you vaccinated" and if they don't get the right answer they rush out and tweet about it....and then its picked up by the national rags. The media is NOT sheltering Darnold.
  18. I'll take it. I'd prefer fewer ints. I'd also take the over for Marshal and Arnold on touchdowns.
  19. Meatgrinder is the exact word they used, and they, all 4, said Darnold would be #2 pick this year behind Lawerence. Add to that incompetent, and you get the jets I didn't know that. That's fascinating because he really doesn't come off that way. He just seems like a nice young kid. I hope Darnold uses this season to make them all eat crow...with a side of humble pie.
