  1. Not all sacks are equal. That was the type of sack you lose your QB. It was immediate and violent. Daley is on pace for a lot of sacks.
  2. Many of you have made statements concerning Joe Brady. I largely have given him the benefit of the doubt. But given Teddy's and Brady's performance this year and now the information that Brady is frustrating yet another player, I'm beginning to wonder. I may start hoping he gets a HC job elsewhere.
  3. "4:55 - 3rd and 4 - Daley absolute whiff on his assignment, Free rusher into Sam, Sack. Worst play of the Line so far. " His sack was the worst whiff of the game where a free rusher gets to hit Sam full speed in a 1 second. Daley might have well been on the sideline eating a sandwich that play, that's how much he slowed him down. No stunt, just ass play. Daley looked bad throughout the game, not just on the highlights. The worst whiff and level our QB in a second deserves worse than a C+. But hey, no Elflein right? Who btw hadn't given up a single sack this year.
  4. The reason Sam takes so long is because the receivers aren't open. It doesn't matter if we actually THROW to Robby on the double move. The purpose is to make the receiver RESPECT the deep throw so Robby can cut short and BE OPEN. Secondly ball placement and TT are not linearly aligned. TT<>IAY Tom Brady has the 3rd shortest time to throw, but the 10th highest in intended yards per attempt at 9.1. You can throw deep earlier, it just has to go a bit higher to have just enough air time for the wr to get there. The challenge is if you loft too much, defenders have time to get there too, so you have to lead the receiver so that he is full speed when he meets the ball.
  5. Last year some thought that it was Brady scheming around the weak OL and Teddy was holding us back. Brady's play calling has looked so bad this year, and Teddy has looked pretty good in Denver.... was it Teddy making Brady look better and not the other way around?
  6. I agree. I defend the coaches here on a lot of things. BC to RT is NOT one of them. The short arm crap is moronic old-school coach think.
  7. I'd say allowing the pressure that resulted in a pocket collapsing on both sides and sandwiching the QB, that resulted in an int that led to points for the opponent in a game decided by 3 points, is a big problem. You are right, they will get better as they get acclimated. The question is, how many games do we lose in the meantime?
  8. "We couldn't control the line of scrimmage....couldn't protect the football...quarterback was under duress, couldn't make plays that we needed down in the red zone and all those areas to make touchdowns instead of field goals..." That's just from his opening statement. I watched his press conference yesterday. He listed a litany of problems with the O thorough out the presser. And yes, its still a team loss.
  9. I agree. But in the end, the QB was sandwiched behind two DE's shoving the OTs (not a stunt) and that was NOT the only time yesterday. IOL was horrible, but the OT's looked bad. We will see more stunt-less pressure as Moton and BC get acclimated. I think the notion of BC at RT has been a big mistake. He should have just been training at LT and when Erving went down, played at LT. RT Moton> LT Moton LT BC ??? RT BC My guess is that since BC has always played LT, had we just put him there, we would be better off. Whoever said put BC at RT f'ed up.
  10. Show me the stunt here: What I see are two tackles getting shoved backwards, as if on skates, into the QB.
  11. I agree that the IOL was WORSE, but the pressure appeared to come from every where and the stats support that.
  12. Everyone was complaining about Elflein. He gets hurt, Daley goes in, the line performs worse. Then everyone was complaining about Erving. He gets hurt, Moton moves L, BC goes in right, the line performs worse. Now we want to put another rookie on the line who, for whatever reason, has been put at the bottom of the OL depth chart?
  13. There are different degrees of bad. Our best OL performance was week 2 at the Saints, with a long pocket time, time to throw and much lower pressure rate. Go back and watch that game and compare it to yesterday. It was the ONLY week that started Erving, Elflein, Paradis, Miller and Moton. I know everybody here hates that line up, but it was our best performance. RT Moton > LT Moton Elflein > Daley The stats say it, the eyeball test says it, I don't give a f what pff says. Throwing PS and retired players on the line is not going to make things better. I would expect Moton and BC to get better at the new positions, but we are going to take lumps as they develop. In any case, Sam has to get his time to throw down to 2.6s from 3s or he is going to get hurt.
  14. Some huddlers got exactly what they wanted. No Erving. No Elflein. Moton at LT BC at RT And it resulted in 47% pressure rate and 4 pass rushers with 6+ pressures, only the second team to do so over the last four seasons. Our best OL performance was probably the Saints game with a long pocket time and time to throw, and pressure rate much lower than the last 3 games. Until Moton and BC get up to speed in their new positions and until Elflein is healthy (Daley has been horrible), we are going to see what we saw yesterday. So do we stick with Moton at LT and BC at RT? In theory they should get better, but we are going to take a bunch of lumps in the meantime.
  15. The entire league passed on Trey Smith 6 times. Why? He couldn't even practice in college because of all the blood thinners he was on. Huddlers still complaining 5 months later about a 6th round pick.
  16. We tried to trade out of the #8 spot. The only offers we received were worth less than that actual value of the 8th spot. If we had, we might have gotten Slater or another lineman with the pick. The only reason we are having this conversation about Slater is because Horn is hurt.
  17. Considering the OL included a backup LG, moving the RT to LT, the very first start for a rookie RT and a QB who is holding the ball for 3s on average per pass, I'm not surprised. Oh, and they weren't great to begin with. And yes I'm saying it, Elflein>Daley. The stats support it, the eye-ball test supports it and when he doesn't get a lot of help, Daley looks bad. I don't give a f what pff says.
  18. Not sure your point. Are you predicting a huge losing streak frankw?
  19. So are you mad at yourself, considering you said that YOU wouldn't pick him at 8? in fact you said YOU would wait to 15-20. He was long gone by then. Asking for a friend.
