  1. I've decided I hate this thread and wish it would just go away.
  2. "Also copies Ramczyk’s $1M incentive for All-Pro at LEFT tackle" Another data point for Moton at LT.
  3. Taylor Moton extension proves competency is king in Carolina (catcrave.com) "This is fantastic news for the Panthers and a well-deserved extension for Moton, who has been one of the most consistent performers protecting the edge over the last three seasons.... Carolina’s competency in the front office with Scott Fitterer at the helm has been evident throughout the offseason. There is a clear drive that simply wasn’t there under the previous regimes and from a fan standpoint, long may it continue. "
  4. Sorry its a repost. I missed it. Mods Please delete.
  5. Derrick Brown ready to build on rookie success (panthers.com) "For a big guy, man, he's explosive," (Morgan) Fox said of Brown. "I've been around some of the best big guys in the game, and he definitely has all the traits to be one of the best. "I think looking at him in a vacuum, just his body type, you're like 'I don't know if he's explosive or not.' But you practice with him, and you realize, this man is twitchy, he's explosive, his reaction time is insane, he's super-strong. He's got all the tools to be an elite player." Brown: "I've got to play a lot better," he said, emphasizing the "a lot" part. "I've got to be more consistent. At everything, every situation. "I don't think it's one thing. It's a focus. Last year, with everything going as fast as it was through my rookie year, it was trying to juggle everything. Now being able to sit down and focus and learn is the biggest thing." The Latest Buzz Around Every NFL Team as Camp Season Nears | Bleacher Report | Latest News, Videos and Highlights Watch for him (Brown) to explode with more support in 2021.
  6. They do. Jets fans argue about it in a bunch threads, including an 18 pager on the front jetnation. It matters to them for evaluating the choice to drop Sam and get wilson. We were both bottom tier in the league and they had a harder schedule so this is considered a winnable game to them. Also the worse we do, the better value in the picks we gave them. Plus its a chance to watch all of their new toys in action. They have something to prove.
  7. I don't know about Darnold, but this place will be fun. The shtposters will be in heaven. The 2020 Jets beat 2 winning teams who went deep in the playoffs last year. We didn't beat a single winning team. The jets have all new coaches, practically a brand new OL, new receivers and more help on D. We will not be playing the 2020 jets, we will be playing the 2021 jets, so we can not sleep on them. All that said, I want Darnold to light them up with +300 yards and plenty of deep balls to Robby. We should win this game.
  8. I agree. I may be more concerned about Elflein than Erving. Either of them could lose a starting spot in camp.
  9. What does a break out season look like when he's already been 1200 x2? 1300? 1400? That would be top 5. He had more yards than Mike Evans and Amari Cooper, in fewer games. He had more yards than Brandin Cooks or Corey Davis. He did that with TB and PJ throwing to him.
  10. link: Which Franchise-Tagged NFL Stars Will Get Extensions Ahead of July Deadline? | Bleacher Report | Latest News, Videos and Highlights " Carolina Panthers OT Taylor Moton This one might have become a little trickier when the New Orleans Saints reset the right tackle market by handing Ryan Ramczyk a five-year, $96 million extension last month. The question is if Moton thinks he's worth something similar, because that would be a problem. Ramczyk has been an All-Pro, and he's missed just one start in four NFL seasons since coming into the league as a first-round pick in 2017. Moton was a second-rounder that year, and he simply isn't quite on Ramczyk's level. There's a big gap between Ramczyk, Lane Johnson and every other right tackle in terms of average annual salary, and that could be a problem if the Panthers feel something in Jack Conklin's $14 million range is fair while Moton expects to fill that gap between Conklin and Johnson (who makes $18 million a year). With so much up in the air right now as Sam Darnold comes to town, I'm not sure Carolina is willing to fork over more than $14 million per season when Moton will make close to that on the tag. This might lead to one more prove-it year. Prediction: The tag remains in place "
