  1. Erving had fewer penalties and sacks per snap than Okung last year with only 8 pressures in five games in Dallas. I'm not saying Erving was awesome. I'm saying Okung wasn't.
  2. This from the guy who thought Okung played better than Oher for us.
  3. Horn is faster than Bayless, he was slower because he was looking back for the ball. If Bayless had to slow up for the ball at all, Horn would have broke it up. That was a well placed ball. SBBlue approves.
  4. Yeah. I'm sure Sam want's that one back. Looks like route was slowing up a touch, and Sam over led him. They'll get in sync.
  5. Some people were excited about Matt Kalil or even Okung. Some people panned the Oher signing. I was in some of those camps. We were wrong. I know about Erving's injuries, pff scores, and bad tape. Just keep in mind, Erving had fewer penalties and sacks per snap than Okung last year with only 8 pressures in five games in Dallas. He started at guard most of the season (until injury) for KC' SB run. The Jets didn't win a game until they added Elfelin to the line, and then they beat two play off teams. I'm not saying he's the soul reason. I'm not saying they are going to be great. I'm just saying it's not certain doom. Lets see how this plays out.
  6. I think that's Robinson on skates.
  7. 4MR's day 1 stuff is good too: Camp Wofford 2021: Day 1 Observations - The4ManRush
  8. Erving is going to have to get better or practices are going to be looong.
  9. 4MR did some great reporting. Camp Wofford 2021: Day 2 Observations - The4ManRush The part on sacks, tfl and ff... I just don't think you can really read the oline until pads are on. He does know a lot about oline play tho.
  10. Yeah, I'd stop reading at nothing significant. Little gibbery after that.
  11. Just FYI, I don't think we're headed this direction.
  12. Its not something you hear about anybody. Who tops the list for causing the most pressure? idk
  13. Lets say, that 90% of the pressures were his fault because he held on too long... bringing him here won't help as much. I wouldn't say pointless, but it just supports what we already suspected, that his pressures were due to bad o-line play. You're right, this is not anything to get excited about.
  14. That's all true. It's like we're still reeling from that 50 burger the Steelers put on us 2018. I do view it by season though, which would include the 7-1 start to 2018 which I assume would move us up a few more spots. We picked 16th that year. Either way you're right, we've been bottom of the barrel for too long. I think that's why Rhule has changed the roster wildly this year.
  15. Yeah, I don't know how significant it is. They did have a ton of pressures, so knowing that Sam wasn't the cause of ~90% of them is a good thing.
  16. I had to think about this one. It indicates how many of the pressures were Sam's fault i.e. not getting the ball out quickly enough. So most of the pressures were his offensive line’s fault, I guess.
  17. Us noobs don't care much for it either. I understand the security upgrade and all. But I don't care much for the badge stuff, or the way it shows post count and rep points. I liked knowing who the vets were.
  18. If Sam can't stay on the field we move on. If Sam plays like he did in NY, then it was him all along, we move on. If Sam plays on par with Teddy, we move on. If Sam plays much better than Teddy, >4000 yards, >25TDs , ~12 ints, we have our guy. We can get a good QB. TB went 7-9 and got Brady. The Bears went 8-8 and got Fields. With Teddy level play, WE could have had Fields. Worse case scenario is Sam plays like he did in NY. We suffer through a season of crap. This negative energy we keep projecting is not good for us, or the team. I'm looking forward to see what the kid has got.
