  1. I don't blame Teddy for getting avg vet Qb pay, I blame Hurney. Don't need to tank, we could have had Fields, who some think should have been #2.. Herbert was taken at 6. People are already talking hotseat for Rhule, at 5-11. Can you imagine what it would be if we were 0-16? There are downsides to being a bottom feeder. Good FA's don't want to play for you. You have to overpay for FA (unless they went to Baylor or Temple) to get good players to come here when they think there is no chance for playoffs. Panthers have the 3rd most capspace already atm. IMO, 30 million in capspace and a high draft pick isn't worth being the joke of the league. Just sayin.
  2. Only if we traded up. Chargers were ahead of us and appears to have won that draft lottery.
  3. He's not "starting to get it". Rhule has "got it" all along. If he didn't, he would have stuck with Teddy. He honestly believes Sam can do it. Believe it or not, some of us here believe Sam COULD ACTUALLY do it.
  4. True. Draft position doesn't equal quality (LIttle). Pro-bowl status doesn't equal quality (Matt Kahlil, Okung). Apparently we looked for wide-zone fit and versatility in our FAs. We looked for wide-zone fit, lack of injury, and multi-season experience for our rookies. I agree that FAs don't want to play for a team in the throws of a rebuild and their services are in high demand. It looks like it limited our choices and may have forced us to pay a premium. We invested in our O-line thru the draft and FA, some say not enough and they may be right. Lets at least gets pads on before we determine that.
  5. Yes Teddy made mistakes on the field. All QB's do. And we wasn't electric like Cam. Who is? It was his first full season back from injury and he was following Cam Newton. The Saints didn't see Teddy as a Brees successor. They had no problem trading him to a division rival. So I'm sure we knew that Teddy didn't have it, and it was just a short term bridge between Cam and whoever, while we rebuild. Teddy did screw up throwing shade on the coaches in the season. Pros keep team critiques internal. That and middling play, did him in with the Panthers. Sam had WAY more reason to dis his coaches and management and yet never did. At least that's what's reported now. I just think the Huddle is a little harsh on Teddy's play here. I know he's on another team and I'm not a fan. But some of our shade isn't justified.
  6. Some more details on the int. Underthrown to DJ.
  7. Moton on the L side no less. I was imagining Riddick on the other side. Just getting reps at this point I guess.
  8. Wow. Stafford sucks. Dodged that bullet.
  9. Per PNP livecast: Darnold rolls out, fumbles the ball, picks it up and throws it away Sounds like O is still getting their footing.
  10. Per PNP livecast: Brian Burns broke up a reverse Next play, Play action Pass, Burns in Darnold's face, couldn't even throw
  11. Per PNP Livecast: Defense is cooking 1 Nice completion to Arnold intermediate route 2 Run to CMC 3 Play action pass deep interception by Jaycee Horn 4 Screen -thrown in the dirt
  12. I don't think so. If you did, you wouldn't dis Oher.
  13. I didn't think Teddy was as bad as everyone here makes him out to be. He gave us a career year, he just had some trouble in the RZ/EZ at first and then declined some as the season progressed. He didn't have CMC and the line was worse than anything Cam ever had for any stretch of time. I actually was surprised we ditched him so quickly, he would have improved with investments in the Oline and CMC's return. He'll beat Lock.
  14. At LT: Scott started the Bucs2, Lions, Packers and WFT. LIttle started Falcons2, Cardinals, Chargers. Daley started Chiefs game but exited the game and LIttle finished. Okung started 7 games: Raiders, Bucs1, Falcons1, Bears, Saints1, Vikings and Broncos. Schoefield started the 2nd Saints game. We lost Okung and Schoefield. We may lose Little.
  15. Of course not, you'd have to be smart to do that. Please enlighten the Huddle. Explain to us how Okung played better for the Panthers than Oher.
