  1. I liked Teddy and if given the chance he probably would have played better here if we kept him. But we didn't keep him so I really don't care how he does. Teddy has played the Giants and the Jags, so I'd wait a bit to evaluate his performance.
  2. The Jets and Saints DLs are both highly rated and historically good against the run. Let see what happens Thursday.
  3. Why dream about the other team's OL's.... especially after we just trampled all over it? In the real world we can't trade OL's...so why dream about it? I don't get it.
  4. So you are saying the the Saints DL is garbage because they didn't dominate our bad OL? No one was out on their DL.
  5. Probably. But its a battle of the trenches. We won it on both sides of the ball today.
  6. So Jaemis is running for his life but they're the ones with a good OL? They were missing their center on the Oline. Last week we were missing our RG. Today we were out a LG and LT for a bit and the RG just recovered from a bad case of covid. Are you saying 1 injury on the saints OL causes it to collapse? Because it collapsed today. Yeah I guessed that. Huh? Are you saying McCoy is the only highly rated lineman on that line? My point is that if our line performed like the Saints line today, THIS board would be melting down with people saying that OUR OL is garbage by the very people who are defending the GARBAGE play of the Saints offensive line today. And that is the only way to describe what we saw from the all mighty Saints OL today....garbage.
  7. I wanted Fields. I was wrong.
  8. Didn't he drop every target in preseason? I was thinking we would cut him. Nicely done Zylstra. I was wrong about you.
  9. Its been a long haul my friend....literally months of arguing, trying to convince people that this could work.... Sam could improve... this line was not garbage and Rhule and Fit know what they are doing. In the end, only wins will change minds. I hope Rhule, Darnold and the o-line continue to frustrate their critics.
  10. Yeah, it kinda deserves it's own thread. aints and jets boards are melting down. Its a good day.
  11. Yeah, we need to improve there. But we looked better than the saints who supposedly have one of the best o-lines in football. CMC 3 yards a carry. Kamara .6 yards a carry...seriously, less than yard.
  12. Its delicious. Lets enjoy it while it lasts. Teams adjust, tables turn. Teddy fell apart last season as our D finally got a footing. Nice thing is, Sam normally gets BETTER as the season progresses. Lets hope this year is no exception.
  13. I know this is driving the Sam/o-line haters nuts. All of the Saints D-line starters, started today. We faced an elite D-line. But it doesn't count because....blah blah blah. We aren't saying we're going the SB. We're saying good job to underappreciated o-linemen, Sam, Rhule and Fit. I'm sure we'll take our lumps at some point. But we needed this game to have a shot at a winning season, and we took it and shoved it down the Saints throats.
  14. Yeah the run game wasn't like last week. But it was much better than when we faced the saints the first time last year. To put it in perspective, CMC had 3 yards per attempt with his longest being 16 yards. Kamra had .6 yards per attempt with his longest being 8 yards. ^^^^ That is point 6 ... as in less than a yard. Should the Saints start ripping on their linemen and saying their line is garbage?
  15. No offense was taken. Getting the ball out quick is an elite QB skill and I was trying to share that Sam has a stat on par with one of the best.
  16. I'm not saying our o-line is the best or are awesome. They played pretty good last week and then the clips pop up of a lineman missing his block or getting bulldozed and he becomes the meal of the week. It really is ok for us to show our o-lineman some love. It is. Really its ok.
  17. Yes. Brady gets it out in the same amount of time. 2.3 seconds. Should Sam slow down?
  18. Only when Pat Meyer says they're ready. Jets started 1st round pick Vera-tucker at guard last week before he was ready. Didn't work out so well.
  19. Yup. This is really going to be tough for some. Many of the Darnold haters were the same ones ripping on our o-linemen.
  20. The line wasn't perfect, but it wasn't the garbage so many predicted. Sam wasn't getting killed or running for his life... that was Jaemis Winston.
  21. Saints had all of the DLine starters there today. Jordan, Tuttle, Ringo and Granderson are all first team and started.
