We lost EVERY game last year that we did have CMC, even before the first injury. CMC lost every game he was in. I think Teddy would have played better here this year, but that ship has sailed. He's a bronco now.

PJ Williams waltzed into the backfield untouched as Moton and MIller double teamed the tackle rather than picking up the blitz. If that was Erving this place would be melting down.

Yeah he was out in the first quarter. He faced Tuttle and Roach and they didn't do squat when he was in. In fact, they had no qb hits or sacks the entire game. Last week Elflein mostly battled Q Williams on an island by himself because Paradis was helping Daley all game. QWillaims is rated higher and has better stats than our Derrick Brown. So I guess Elflien will be our whipping boy since we can't complain about LT atm because Erving has been getting the job done.

On Thursday, they will play against one of the worst. If we don't have holes for our RB and Sam gets sacked multiple times with a bunch of QB hits on Thurs, then I think OL criticism will be justified. But at this point, it appears the months of ripping on our online during the offseason were just over the top.

We just won a game in which we dominated the line of scrimmage. Someone, other than me, creates a thread, pointing out that the our constant OL doomsayers were wrong, yet again. I never said our line was awesome. I'm saying instead of listing how bad our OLmen are AFTER a WIN and coveting the saints line that we just turned into swiss cheese, that we recognize that our guys are exceeding expectations. But if what I'm doing makes you, @frankw , cringe, then I' know I'm doing it right.

Just out of curiosity I checked. They were 2nd in 2019 as well, so a good run D then too. But 2018 they were bottom half. I shouldn't have said historically, I meant last year.

The jets couldn't do much else last year, but they could stop the run.

I never said our OL was awesome. They did much better than expected against ANOTHER top ranked DL. After that performance I want to cheer them on, not talk about how great the other team's OL is and how I wished that I had their OL. Every one of saints DL starters played today. Our OL was NOT garbage.
