Let's Talk second round WR prospects...

I would blame the scouting department. Just because they get it wrong doesnt mean you cant get it right. For ever TMJ or mingo whoever there is DK metcalf and pua Necua and tank Dell other guys who do hit. -
Let's Talk second round WR prospects...

I mean doesnt mean It can't... We spent 2nd and 3rd on pass rushers and tackles and such doesnt mean you stop swinging? -
Yes its all doom and gloom and missing out on generational talents like Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison(baby randy moss)jr sucks. But only the back end this is a very good Draft class. 2 guys who could be there in the second round at the top i really like or if we trade up at the end of the first. I haven't gotten to look at everyone but I always start with my favorite team Florida State. and Man we got 2 good ones Which is rare at FSU. Keon Coleman a tranfer from Michigan State has been unreal. 3 touchdown catches day 1 in first game Vs sec power LSU.. guy is 6'4 and Is great after the catch to the point he returns punts which is rare for wr. I mean this was last week this guy is ridiculous might not be there in the second round. On the other end.. I know this is going to scare panthers fans but think Kelvin Benjamin but faster. Johnny Wilson is Batman or robin to coleman. At 6'7 hes taller than Benjamin and doesnt seem to lack speed. Wilson needs to work on consistency but his talent isnt to be underestimated. These 2 guys basically take turns mossing smaller DBs... Want to know why FSU is undefeated? these 2 guys(and qb travis) While I hate not having a first the future is bright...

Brian Burns statline: 2 tackles, 0 sacks
micnificent28 replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nobody is saying Burns is perfect. Hes not a 30 mil guy but only because hes not a complete player. He isnt strong vs the run but as a pass rusher hes atleast top 15. -

every throw they threw was 40 yards down the field? -

bro they were getting rid of the ball like rapid pace. Tua doesn't take many sacks. This bag on burns any game he doesnt get a sack is getting old. -
bro... the bears currently own the number 1 and 2 pick and they already have a decentish qb... the future looks as bright as ever.

the same situation.

The wine and cheese army that is Raleigh would indeed not
-
and then what? they can play in front of a crowd of 500 and still suck?

So we have been linked to him a lot and ideally we would probably go bust for bust like TMJ maybe Chinn. But on a they want pure drsfr capital base whats he worth? I would say no more than a 4 at this point.
-
this is a stretch. None of our corners are pure zone guys or 6'4 like Richard sherman. we dont have a huge punishing ss like cam and I know you said Chinn, But I don't think the GM controls where a player plays on a team. He shops for the ingredients coaches decide what goes in the pot so to speak. As for the vet Coach, I think tepper was more at fault for that after the Rhule failure. seems natural to go with a proven veteran guy after trying the young college generational thing.
-
I'm thinking it because everybody is questioning Bryce and he is looking a little iffy... If another young former 1st overall pick suddenly became available I'm sure people would draw a parallel especially since they are similar in size. With Mr. in on every deal im sure its poped in his mind as well. valid discussion.
-
Everyone and his roomate says its rumored he frank liked bigger qbs. It was said that tepper and Fitter pushed for bryce they haf eyed him the last 2 years and talked frank into. like i said in the post this is pure hypothetical i know how extremely unrealistic it would to trade the number 1 pick after 4 games but the question would be brought up. Based on pure talent.. i dont think its a bad trade
-
This isnt a i think we should do this post or would I really want 2. Its more a hypothetical. I don't think Frank really likes Bryce. So I do think this situation at the least will cross chater somewhere in a alley or hallway.

I have never seen any quest bradys arm really. his arm was definitely good enough to make all the throws. -
I'm not throwing in the towel at all its way 2 early and there are signs of life.. A lot of Bryce struggles could all be on the lack of talent or frank himself play calling not taking the trainning wheels off. But a lot of Bryces struggles are also his own lack of ability. YOU DON'T TAKE A GUY NUMBER 1 WITHOUT ELITE PHYSICAL TRAITS. That's never happened before. Oh he's an "elite processor". Like wtf is that... I can't quantify that. I can't bring that to my coordinator and say oh his processoring will develop openings here or there. Event best undersized prospects had elite physical traits. Kyler had the speed to run away from the rush and nobody questioned his arm strength to attack every aspect of the field. Bryce can't make all the throws.. he can't flick his wrist and hit a corner route like say Richardson. Sorry he just can't. He needs time to access whatever arm strength he has. Well good luck with that when your guard giving up 28 pressures on the year when the worst guy has only given up 14. Yes Bryce is being let down by his supporting cast but a lot of his struggles a number 1 pick would have to make up for with their own ability. Especially if they are an "elite Processor". Brady made eldleman and undersized white guys a thing. Being an extention of the coach and elite mind is great but what does it matter if you dont have the physical tools to capitalize on whats going on on what you see? What good is it to have luke kuechly mind and 5.0 speed in the 40? Like you can see whats happening but can't get there to make a play because you just dont have the gifts. We see this all the time with draft prospects like clelin ferrell the huddle wanted a few years back who went number 4(thank god). guys who have the numbers good football players and smart have all the stats hidden behind talented players beside them who make them look good. But put on a island without that talent around them they are just JAGs. Draft traits not just numbers or you could end up with literally just coaches on the field. It's early but Bryce could become just an expensive game Manager. He's not going to throw picks and lose you the game but he doesn't have the elite traits to uplift and make plays for those around him. Which is why you take the guy who runs the 4.4 in the 40 who had unseen athleticism and the size of a Linebacker unheard combine numbers. Your "elite processor" mental abilities are tied to your confidence and emotional state. I promise you right now bryce is questioning can he play at this level second guessing his decisions trying to make a play which can mitigate all that "elite processoring" we were sold on. Guys like Stroud and Richardson are being validated and gaining confidence by their abilities and seeing yeah I can do this. which buys them time to develop the "elite processor" or good enough to read defenses with their physical ability. End rant.
