  1. Everybody on the huddle was on the ferrell train. People love to look at stats and none of the factors that helped make those stats possible. This is where the combine comes into play. Who cares if you have 14 sacks with 3 other first rounders on the line with you. Then you get to the combine and look like a marginal athlete that put your how did you get those stats into question. Scout traits, ability, then stats.
  2. Cam has tools... and it's not like we have a lot of potential starters at the position. Little is by all means likely cut. We needed guys who could compete. Who knows maybe he is decent?
  3. No one should be fine with cmc contract because it just doesn't work out for rbs... and even he has been banged up. Most great rbs bodies are all but beat up when the second contract is signed.
  4. Me too. But the average football fan wouldn't watch enough scouting and tape to figure it out. They would see highlights on espn of baker Mayfield throwing a 50 yard pass and it being caught so he must have the strongest arm.
  5. strongest arm most would say josh allen buffalo
  6. Thats a reasonable assumption as well. But come training camp and the way they raving about him being most improved who's to say he's 3rd?
  7. And all that you said is fair. I can agree with all of it, but depending on how many tightends we keep day we keep 3 does he get cut? He can't be worse than day manhertz who was a solid blocker but that's it..
  8. Either way. The guys you brought in aren't exactly A1 talents or surefire better than Thomas type of guys. Could they beat him out? Most likely..but are they that much better than him that he is cut?? Humm And that's a point no one can argue against. Also I'm curious is it Thomas fault or more a systematic design as well? Even tremble the guy we brought in was more designated h back or blocker type. Maybe that's what the system needs?
  9. I really don't see Ian Thomas getting cut... how often does a young starter from last season go from starter to cut during camp?
  10. I have no idea why people hate the idea of retractable domes. I mean granted the price tag, but on the other hand have any of you been to boa when it was 90 degrees sun beaming and your on the wrong side of the shade.. it felt like my insides were baking. It sucked. I for one don't mind putting in for a dome if it makes the experience all the better and don't really care for the"football is ment to be played in open air good Ole days mantra" indoors perfect scenario I'm all for it.
  11. The ownage in this threat is hilarious
  12. He was a regular follow of mine. Got most of my hornets info from him.. this sucks..rip..
  13. There is a ton of talent I agree. But top 10? I suppose it's in the range of possibilities I just wasn't expecting it so soon. Hard to imagine after a lot of what we seen last season. We saw flashes just no consistency.
  14. I mean whatever logic you want to apply to it. I wasn't saying okung was good or bad it's about losing a starter and playing the guy behind him doesn't really make your team better.
  15. I agree again on rule. But, my expectations for this season might be a bit higher than your own. Not because this isn't his first true season, but because of last season the team was already highly competitive. We don't know for sure how darnold will look. As he goes do go we. I don't think we got worse and improved in multiple areas. Corner, Reddick adding to the pass rush. Cmc returning and hoping there is no fall off at tackle or replacing Samuel I don't see any reason we can't finish around 8-8 or whatever the new status quo is for being 500. I don't think this is a playoff team. But next season that should be the goal.
  16. Agreed. I don't think anyone working at the highest level of coaching or scouting couldn't see very early on those guys were a weakness. My point was more aimed at the theory of addition by subtraction. If you you got better by just cutting a guy then why was he even starting to begin with. Basically if we cut say okung last year are we better playing Little?
  17. The patriots weren't a bad team? They were which why they were able to spend more money in free agency than anyone before. Not a lot stars which why they had a lot of cash to burn. The bills are the best team in the division which is why I didn't mention them as a free win. Traditionally tho, the pats have been able to sleep walk into the playoffs with the jets constantly bad. The dolphins have been bad for a long time and even the bills before Josh Allen turned the corner and the current office.
  18. Not sure that wins you more games. If you had better behind whitehead or teddy why start them to begin with?
  19. This part. They also play in a historically bad division. Pats, bills, dolphins, jets. You could almost sweep jets and fins and that's 4 wins.
  20. But that brings you to the question why were they starting anyway? At the time they were the best we could do.
  21. I mean I disagree. A team that lost brady gronk,Edelman out for the season, Ben Watson, not to mention the offensive line subtractions, Jamie Collins signing with Detroit. Not sure if they lost Hightower or he opted out. Lost Kyle vanoy.. a playoff caliber team???? They didn't add much they just lost players thats a rebuild. You don't get better losing players.
  22. Playoff caliber team? You are high. They shredded everyone from Logan mankins to opt-outs that team was not a playoff caliber team with or without Newton.
