But I think the reverse is also true. Having mobility can make you dangerous enough without being Tom Brady. I'm not saying throwing isn't the ultimate win all be all whatever. But pin point drop back passers aren't growing on trees... clearly from this year's class those type of talents just aren't a option this season. What mixture of tools can I use to make up for that? As much as people hate to admit it the game just isn't played the way it use to be... Our own Cam Newton Changed the position forever..

I don't think a franchise who has NEVER won back to back winning season says yeah you make the playoffs every year but it's getting old. There is no perfect situation where a single gb automatically wins you ever single playogf game. But if he has proven to have the formula to get you there consistently and win consistently maybe you need to tweak your formula. Because you and the guys sound like Jackson is the reason your not winning in the playoffs. Wins and losses are not a qb statistic. If that's the case Brady wouldn't have left new England. But you plug him into the bucs and bam. He needed the right parts around him. You could make the same argument for Jackson.

I think arguing about a guy who has taken his team to the playoffs every single year of his career is elite or a top 10 qb is crazy... if he wasn't getting it done they would replace him.

That's all I'm saying. If you go LT I get it. Neal, Icky, cross to a lesser degree. But if you looking Qb it's a gamble and the gamble has to be Willis.
-
He's behind a guy that was good enough... Jimmy G is a starter somewhere. Which is why I said all these guys who were drafted in the first didn't I even mention Jimmy G?
-
I mean I don't really love Lamar. But when you 2 bring up "running qb" isn't he the face of running qbs today? Like he's the highest standard of running qb. So I use him to further my argument. If the ravens make the playoffs every single year with a running qb and we have never done that as a franchise... Doesn't that mean that you can can compete with a running qb.. he at the least gets you to the dance. Willis is not a slam dunk or Trevor Lawrence. But his God given tools give us the most to work with. Having more tools and options to win games(arm and legs) are better than just 1.

Boy sit down u sound crazy

Ok i see his wins during the season consistently beating the field is fake ok got u.

Everyone does thats why we play the games... that's where hall of famer are made. What emitt smith's rushing record only counts in the playoffs? How many yards would he have in 13 seasons 500?
-
Who says he's not playing... nobody drafted in the first at qb in recent memory has not played. Unless you have a better option like Jimmy G or Aaron Rodgers. You think Rhule is going to bank his future on Darnold? Plz... his best hope is a young qb whom he can get some excitement about. A young qb wins rookie of the year maybe not playoffs but generates enough hope that he gets another year.... Darnold doesn't get you to the playoffs your fired period. Would you bank your last shot on Darnold doing that? I get it's not the ideal situation. But the guy is a lame duck coach... and sometimes you got a shytty choice vs a awful choice. But still a choice has to be made. There is no tomorrow.
-
1-3... but what are all these other qbs playoff records as well? The fact he gets you there is testament enough to his eliteness. He's definitely top 10.
-
But rhule might not have a next year.. you gonna run out same and think he is magically better? Or swing at another guy who might be better. The future is now for Rhule not next year and hope tepper gives him another year or 2 after next with a rookie qb.

First of all you have to get to the super bowl. And to do that you have to win games. Legs or arm. And if youe team doing what it needs it doesn't come down to 2 mins in the super bowl. That's a very specific situation. Having this kind of of success without being a " pocket passer" means you dead wrong.
-
I don't think these old guys respect a guy who gets it done with his legs as well as his arm. It's like if you don't play the game the way I want you to your a "running quarterback" and you can't win. Despite being the MVP you illegitimate. PRODUCTION in any form is what counts at the end of the day. I DONT care if you run for 100 yards every game as long as you scoring touchdowns and moving the sticks. Are rushing touchdowns worth less than passing touchdowns? Get the job done is all that matters.

Plateaued at mvp? Sure that's good.
-
A guy who has absolutely no choice but to gamble.. because a tackle isn't going to win you 5-6 more games.. think about it. You either going to take a shot or settle for a snails pace which Rhule can't do. It's the exact same gamble naggy had to make the bears last season with Fields.. unfortunately he got fired anyway.
-
Dude won a MVP.. and you comparing him to Dilfer... OK you clearly have an outdated model of qb perception. You can't win the highest offensive honor in the league beating out Brady mahomes and so on by being dilfer.
-
Who says he will sit for a year????? That's all opinion. The way coordinators scheme up offense. If he is accurate why wouldn't he play?
-
Exactly... last year this class was good. We heard about Howell and tank for how Willis name came up some.. a few others.. this was viewed as a good qb class.
-
According to who? Your job isn't on the line.. and everyone in the world of drafting and scouting have a different opinion than you so clearly your wrong.

https://theathletic.com/3227903/2022/04/04/panthers-7-round-mock-draft-if-they-stay-at-no-6-malik-willis-is-their-guy?source=user-shared-article joe person has us picking Willis in today's mock. It's becoming pretty clear that they favor him out of the qbs.
-
That draft LT and wait for qb next year is the perfect plan. But with Rhule basically already one foot out the door does he have another year he can not win and draft a LT and wait for a QB? I don't think a LT gets us to the playoffs which is basically what rhule needs. I honestly think it's QB or bust for rhule and only that because rhule needs a big season to secure his job. That type of change won't come from a lineman but the most important position in football.

Those 3 in any order is a win. And that's how it should be

Stop it with these god awful comparisons
