  1. The same NFL said Sam Darnold was the 3rd overall pick as well....
  2. They weren't clear on anything. This exact thing happened to Aaron Rodgers basically. Dak Prescott and Lamar jackson.. you act like nfl front office get it right all the time. Love icky can't complain 1 bit about the pick Willis is still willis.
  3. I wanted him and still do. Just because the steelers went out the box doesn't chance the fact he is who he is. This is a poo post
  4. Yeah I would be atleast calling about Malik at this point. Dumb not 2
  5. This is the only plausible reason to pass on a LT. And I love other guys sauce and even KT to be exact. Even Hamilton... but those Willis is the only 1.
  6. I feel like if you giving him an extra year or 2 Willis is more likely than before. And Pickett shouldn't be on your thought process.
  7. Well I agree now. But looking at it then with a blind eye not knowing what darnold was... I thought hey a second for a guy who's still as young as a rookie and was the 3rd pick that's a good get. And the jet weren't exactly happy to move on from him only did it to take Wilson. So at the time I was good with a second.
  8. I mean it's easy to look bad after whatever has happened and day it's bad now. But at the time people loved the Gilmore trade. They applauded the Henderson trade guy was a top 10 pick you got him for a 3rd rounder? Sounds awesome. Marshall had a first round grade from a lot of people looked good in preseason people thought it was a steal. Now fast forward to now and we didn't win and everyone is like oh yeah I knew that was dumb. Those are bad trades. The truly bad trades for me are the ones you see ahead of time. Like maybe darnold... I would have given them a 2 at the time but all that other stuff behind it.. a 4 and what a 5... nah...
  9. Wouldn't say that because at the time they seemed like good moves. Nobody draft haul last year. Marshall was suppose to be a steal. The trade Gilmore was actually worth it. CJ Henderson was a first round pick and you got him for a 3rd looked decent at the time. Hell early in the season Sam even looked like good value. Just because the execution didn't workout(rhule) doesn't mean the deal itself was bad.
  10. Im excited for the draft every year. I'm a fan of prospects and interesting trades and movement during the draft. Even if we have 0 picks, I want to see where Willis ends up, or Kyle Hamilton.. just a fan of prospects and potential future NFL Hall of Famers I guess.
  11. Guy is kinda shell shocked. He looks skittish in the pocket. Never sets his feet and plays very nervous. Can't win with that
  12. Pickett isn't as gifted as Gabbert that should tell you something
  13. That's not how it works. You scout traits that can translate to the next level. Willis arm talent and ability to create and throw of platform translate. College production isn't a good indicator of next level skills. Of course you rather have it but Stats don't=good. Stats can be inflated or deflated based on talent around them or college system. Basically a bad offensive coordinator or offensive line can make anyone look good or bad. Look at what they can do is the best way to scout. If we looked at stats as the end all be all we wouldn't have Josh allen.
  14. I don't think he's nearly as inaccurate as people think. They make it seem like he really can't throw. And yet after practice at the senior bowl. Video is in the link don't know how to embed tweets on here. https://twitter.com/ChaseGoodbread/status/1489358463180410884?s=20&t=dD1qHUsQKxMfU80A2cjOXA
  15. Who's to say he can't do that? It's the same situation as cam coming out of Auburn. They said his job first and foremost was to diagnose and throw the football but because he wasn't asked to do so it's assumed he can't? This isn't rocket science and since he scored the highest wonderlic score by qbs in this class I'm going to assume he has the brain to read and diagnose as good or better than the other guys. He comes with all the parts to excel at the next level you just got to coach him up. No other qb has that upside in this class
  16. Whatever tech they time how fast players are moving in the game and throwing velocity during the game and such. Pretty interesting https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.footballscout365.com/amp/senior-bowl-observations-the-qb-s-and-the-prospects-whose-stock-is-on-the-rise
  17. At worst I have seen Willis at late first round. How so you come into the league with top 5 rushing ability( probably top 3) and a top 10 arm. And yet you come away with 2nd round talent? But then again people wanted to say Lamar jackson should change positions and went near the second round as well. People who don't like the way a certain guy plays tend to overlook what he does well.
  18. No he couldn't. Did you watch the senior bowl? He ran away from those guys as well and they were NFL caliber with some first rounders. They even have their timed field speed and Willis was moving at least 2-4 miles per hour faster than the next fastest qb who was not Pickett. Yall need to stop playing with Willis speed.
  19. I get what your saying. But to get away with the" backyard footall anticks" as you say you have to be an above average athlete by NFL standards. Running slower than a 4.55 area you won't be able to really get it done in today's NFL. Kyler has around sub 4.5 speed so he can run away from most defenders. He's also a pretty gifted passer. Johnny at a 4.7 isn't running away from defensive linemen or linebackers seeing as how a defensive tackle at 340 Jordan Davis just ran a 4.7.
  20. He was arguably on the chopping block before Watson was a desire. He hasn't been a top 10 probably not a top 15 qb.
