  1. The thing is Mel is doing his mock based on where he has guys evaluated with their talent and the team with the need. I think he has Willis and picket near the 20s in terms of talent but need pushes qbs up a good bit. Was he allowed to project trades which are probably going to happen? I think he's just giving you a natural mock without trade and based on where he has guys going according to his value.
  2. Pickett is able to run but doesn't really Excell at it. I think he's about what burrow is as a runner. Willis is thicker built. Breaks tackles and as a runner probably is closer to hurts..
  3. They all are considered mobile duel threats are they not? I mean at what point do you draw the line... you have to be Lamar jackson fast to be a running qb because he and kyler are likely the only qbs with that kind of speed in the league.
  4. Wilson. But like I said super bowls and wins are a team statistic. Like another person said if we just saying super bowls measure qbs then Eli is better than Payton. Dan Marino wasn't a good qb because he never won a super bowl. Lamar jackson hasn't won a super bowl but he is won 3 times as many games as he has lost. He is a building block and a part of the puzzle. People wrote him off because he was a running qb and was taken at what 31-32?
  5. What does he has to I gain from running? Only negatives. If he runs slower than expected his stock takes a hit. If he runs a 4.4 or so all people going to do is say he's a running qb or he can play rb some The Golden Calf of Bristol hybrid role package nonsense. Kyler didn't run.. people just accepted he was fast. Lamar didn't run...people just accepted he was fast..
  6. Most qbs drafted in the first play year one. Especially if there are no better options ahead of them. What's a better teacher than learn on the job. He can't look much worse than Wilson or Lawrence I say.
  7. That isn't how scouting works. You look at film of Willis vs say macaroon state.. that doesn't tell you as much as him throwing to nfl caliber players and seeing him vs = competition. Can he make all the throws? Because on tape his offense was a 1 read and go. Can he do and process more if asked? That's what these are for.
  8. Ok this I agree 100% on. I just think a qbs success and winning a championship isn't 100% on them as many people think. People like to say newton not winning a super bowl is because he wasn't good enough as a passer when other factors like Byron bell and the other horrible tackle came into play. Winning a championship is a team effort. Not having elite wrs who can help a qb matters. Having a cmc like back matters. Having say von miller on the other side matters. Elite shut down CBS. Its not all on the qb to win a game.
  9. Where would you place cam. Because most people would say then and now he couldn't pass.
  10. I mean most of you guys are older. And I get that. It's hard to see that the league you love so much is evolving. The fact is MOST of the top qbs in the league right now are mobile qbs. The age of the pure pocket passer is over. With the evolution of these pass rusher today it is out of necessity.
  11. Bet you didn't complain when he turned those surefire 3 and out situations into a first down. Again mobility has its ups and downs. But having more options is never a bad thing. Being able to run is seen as a great attribute to have in today's league. Look at most of the top qbs. From kyler, to mahomes Jackson, burrow to a degree, Herbert, Josh Allen they all can run. The age of the statue is dead. You just need to accept it.
  12. Having the offense focused around them absolutely is. Plenty of rushing qbs were written off before this new wave. Or forced to play HB or wr. All the way up to say Marcus vick(Vicks brother headcase I know) but if he came out in this class I dout people would say he can't play qb.
  13. Did Lamar jackson run a 40? Or kyler Murray? Fact is running a 40 as a qb doesn't benefit you at all. All it does is fuel the... he could be a wr or hb hype.
  14. It's literally the dame argument I had on the huddlein 2011 before we drafted cam. Same arguments. He can't throw if he could he wouldn't be running. Well if Payton manning could run like cam or Jackson I'm sure he would run more as well. Even with Willis... all I see is he smart has a higher wonderlic score and he's accurate. Yet and still people question his ability to throw because he runs some other old school good Ole boy mindset.
  15. This is a very bad take. Get hurt once and your body is starting to break down.
  16. I think he as a runner is night and day vs geno smith.
  17. I'm not comparing Lamar to Jimmy G or Willis. I think Pickett his ceiling is about Jimmy G. He's about a second round talent in a good year and you could make the same case for Willis. That was also said about Lamar Jackson but the wild card was Jackson's upside and if he could capitalize on it. Well if Jackson figures it out and he did how good is he then? He changes the position and forces teams to adjust to a whole new scheme. They can't all out blitz him like they did us all last year and I think the same applies to Willis. He isn't as fast as Jackson but he's faster than Hurts for the eagles. What I'm gambling on if I'm overpicking which you would be doing with Willis and Pickett is upside.
  18. How do you win an MVP and not be elite. He passes well enough.
  19. I will say this. Even tho Willis isn't rated a generational top 10 quick his upside is. No one saw Lamar Jackson coming and many wanted him to move to WR. He doesn't have to have the highest credentials to change the game. All Lamar did was become the NFL MVP and most dynamic weapon in the league. If you think the ravens can't win a super bowl with Jackson your just stuck in a old way of thinking.
  20. Also sir stop trolling Sheena quick lol
