I agree with both these takes.. walker doesn't have the production nor the solidified position to be talked about as a blue chip prospect in this draft. He's a very good player.. but elite? Why? Where?
-
I think the opposite.. Evans is stiff and never been a big run after catch guy. He ran a pretty good 40 straight line speed. I think t ma stock can go up or down depending on his 40.

Most people have Abdul Carter as the number one overall defensive player. Behind him you have Travis Hunter Mason Graham and Will Johnson at corner after that you start going at high upside guys mykel Williams, jaylon walker, shamar Stewart.
-
We don't have either truthfully.. but speedsters are easier to find that alpha jump ball number 1 big body type guys which is why we gambled on legette.
-
Tackle? Haven't even considered it.. are you thinking moton replacement? This is a bad tackle class and most of them people are saying would be better guards.

I love Warren as well Warren would be my next guy because we've lacked that elite playmaking tight end for a long time and Warren is more or less a gronk clone so to speak. I don't think Ian will be back nor do I think Tremble will be back. There is room for another tight end to play alongside Sanders and while Sanders is solid I think we would benefit from an elite talent and playmaker at the position.

Picking at 8 I believe the dream of landing an elite blue chip defensive player is all but dead. Carter is gone Hunter is gone Great chance Graham is gone, so at this point I know most of the board will say we should grab the next best pass rusher or edge. I say if the board falls right you still have a chance at grabbing the best wide receiver in the draft. Hunter is an elite generational talent and maybe the best overall player in the class. But he's not the best wide receiver in the class if that makes sense just pure wide receiver. T-Mac has elite size at 6'5 He's the big bully ball wide receiver the the red zone threat that this team has needed for years. A lot of scouts are calling him the next Mike Evans but when you watch T-Mac play he plays with a lot more burst than Evans ever did. TMac has legit run after catch ability with an elite ball radius to one hand and jump and make all those incredible highlight reels and if you watch Xavier legette play last year and your soul that he's the sure number one wide receiver of the future then this could be a bad call. But anyone who's being serious with themselves right now you wouldn't want to put all your eggs in one basket or bet the farm on him becoming the player you hope he can become after all the drops and iffy he play from him. I think this class is deeper at edge pass rusher and defensive tackle talent then playmakers so I'm praying to the gods mac falls.

That's crazy. At corner specifically and possibly wr.. hunter is generational. I would wager him vs any corner in the last 5 years. -

I think Hunter is that talent. He's as close to a I bet he makes the Hall of Fame guy as u can find. He is the only guy that supercedes Abdul Carter in my mind. -
Just curious on the range of our comes.. best case if we lose. worse case if we win, anyone?

I am not disagreeing I am just saying he is good enough to plug him in where you are leaning the most at any given time. If you need him at corner play him there. But also Bryce needs weapons specifically a number 1 playmaker. I think adding hunter atleast buys leggett time to develop further and add in a sprinkle of down field magic.

I am not so sure.. Do I think he will play full time both ways? Absolutely not. but do I think you can divide his snaps up 50/50? Sure.. He's that good. He's a number 1 whichever side of the ball he plays at. I don't think comparing him historically to guys proves anything because he is better than anyone we have seen at the other side of whatever that persons primary position is. There is a average of what 63 snaps on either side of the ball.. give him 31 each and call it a day. Give or take which ever side needs him more. This is a really unique opportunity.. even if it doesn't work out him playing both ways test it out and you get a really good player on one side of the ball at the least.

Your comparing slash type players to a guy who is generationally talented. This is something we haven't seen before. A guy coming out of highschool who was rated the number 1 player in the country and exceed those expectations as a junior the number 1 player in college football. Even the comparisons don't do him justice.. deion didn't play both sides the ball at Florida State, champ Bailey, Charles woodson? None of them played full time both ways. Respectfully..Hunter is as close to a sure fire Hall of Fame player coming out of college as you will ever have the chance of drafting. This or T-mac? This is a no brainer.(And if hunter isn't available I like Tmac after 6-7th pick).

I am seeing we moved down to 5th

Every pick is a gamble we got that. And yes I am saying the higher you pick the more options you have. More options has never been a bad thing. Having your choice of said blue chippers is better than saying okay the blue chippers are gone let's look at a red chip. can I say Tmac or Hunter will have a better career than Burden? No.. it's a gamble... but I want the right to choose and not have destiny ordained to me. And yes Landing a bonafided stud like Chase or Jefferson could be the difference between meh and super bowl. Clearly we aren't talking about leggett the way teams view Nabers or Harrison JR or Brian Thomas Jr. They were better prospects all gone before we had the right to choose them. you rather choose than have to settle is all.

Seems to me it would be a waste of resources to spend time on a area you are clearly not going. They have already said they won't take a QB in the first round so why are we scouting the ones who are only available at the top of the draft? Same with Jenty. We just paid Chubba and drafted Brooks.. are we seriously taking another RB inside the top 10? Why waste the resources on players you are sure not to get when you could use those resources to go look at 2nd round picks and players more likely to be there or after?
