  1. Royce is 238, basically fullback size w running back skills
  2. They seem just as baffled as us. They're talking about they should have brought in a vet qb and drafted Pitts? Your current options are Cam or Blake Bortles lol
  3. You get ur option of Fitz, Foles, Trubisky, or start a rookie that you draft instead of taking the best O-lineman to once again play behind a horrible line. These coaches are fuged if Sam doesn't work out
  4. Rhule would get 4 years with Fields, dunno if he'll get more than next year with Darnold at this point
  5. He's averaged 6 yards a carry whenever they reluctantly gave him touches, so confusing. Also Kenny Robinson can't get a snap at safety even though he balled out in preseason and scored one of our few touchdowns last week on special teams . They had Chandler play all 84 safety snaps and gave Robinson zero. I think I hate Matt Rhule, he has no reason waiting for guys to get in his good graces for his "culture" or whatever anymore. If you win you automatically build your culture
  6. No way in hell Tepper is giving Rhule a 3rd free agent QB project. Draft the best O-lineman in the 1st and good luck with picks 3/5/6/7
  7. If they cut Cam/Teddy/Sam back to back who in their right mind would wanna take this over another job? Trubisky is the only guy on the market next year that would take a gamble, and that's probably another sideways move
  8. I was referring to Joe Brady being the scapegoat sorry. I do think Christensen should be playing his natural position of LT.
  9. Really the only options are Trubisky in FA or Sam Howell/whoever looks decent in the draft to sit until Sam implodes. 22 is a really rough draft for QB's. I don't think Rhule or Tepper are looking for a Fitz or Foles. Tepper is probably pissed they didn't take Fields for the ticket sales alone
  10. Rhule is tied to him now, maybe they could draft Sam Howell next year but unless Fitt gets really creative that means our next pick would be a 3rd round O-line guy and then a bunch of developmental 5-7 picks. I don't think Rhule is getting a third chance on a starting QB, I think the only realistic FA option would be Trubisky. Rhule will probably use Brady as a scapegoat, get a new OC and either things click or Tepper cleans house
  11. So Bonnafon is back on the practice squad. Maybe the guy that averaged 6 yards a carry when they would reluctantly give him touches should get an activation this week.
  12. Not only signing corners, trading away future draft picks for guys with 1-2 years left on their deals. That's the super confusing thing they're doing, trading like we're in win now mode and then losing three games in a row. So more than likely Sam gets one more year with another new OC and what if it doesn't work out? Hope theres a franchise QB ready to play day 1 in the 23' draft?
  13. And next years QB draft class is looking rough to say the least. So if Sam doesn't improve enough to sign him long term we're kinda back to square one in 2023.
  14. This is how people feel when the GM starts trading away draft picks to win now, and then we lose 3 in a row. By Rhules 4th year most these guys are gonna be free agents, including Sam who if he actually turns it around is gonna want at least 30mil a year. If we had drafted a rookie QB people would be a little more patient
  15. His knees are shot, Royce had better yards per attempt and much better catching % the last couple years. Also 3 years less wear on his body. There is zero reason to not give Freeman at least 10 touches next game at this point. If he was a free agent everybody would want him here based on these highlights-
  16. And how does Tepper feel about giving Rhule 2 Free Agent QB picks back to back years and he couldn't magically coach up either one? I don't see how Rhule gets a 3rd chance on another QB
  17. Even the Vikings were wondering why we didn't run the ball the instead of taking 35 seconds to attempt predictable pass plays. What can ya do
  18. He was a little shakey getting thrown in the Texans game out of nowhere, and then looked really good the last two games. Almost like he's improving with starter reps in practice. People want to not play him because some draft report? Or bring in a worn out vet RB with no knowledge of the playbook? Don't get it
  19. That's usually what it looks like when your tackle gets beat, CMC has been tackled like that dozens of times
  20. If they want hands Royce had an 80% catch rate over the last 3 years and he's 238 pounds so can probably get a couple yards after contact. That he only got 1 touch Sunday is mind blowing to me
  21. In college he could hit the hole inside and sprint, because he's a sprinter. Just so happens he has a better chance of finding a hole on the edges with our O-line. No clue why people are saying he doesn't have the speed. He's a couple ankle grabs away from some 30 yard runs. If my RB had 61 yards and a TD on 16 carries without a long run I'd keep running the ball
  22. It's pretty dumb, but our run game was working and we just stopped doing it in the 2nd quarter when it was a 2 point game. I think most teams try to run and keep doing it til it's not working. They aren't telling people exactly who is going to run where on the field but it's also obvious running outside is our strongest option. It can at least get teams out of man coverage instead of Brady beating a dead horse
  23. He was a linebacker in college, he straight laid out some guys running for the Jets. Knows how to lower his left shoulder for 1st down/goal line situations. It probably helps his confidence and adds a wrinkle for the opposing D to account for. Actually could have ran on that first drive, had like 5 seconds and maybe one guy in front of him
