All depends if they can stop the run, and if so Belichick will just run that 5 man blitz/man coverage scheme over and over
-
-
You could use the same technicality for our college coaching staff, who just happened to hand pick him
-
Even though he's more of a hybrid I'd prioritize Luvu over Carter. Starting to think with Perryman balling in Vegas it was more him deciding he wanted to play elsewhere over Carter beating him out in camp.
-
I'm more concerned about the Panthers sucking, and somehow only getting the 15-20th 1st round draft pick and then some 4-7th round projects. Dunno how Fitt is gonna trade his way back to the 2nd and 3rd rounds
-
How is this a 7 point game after that Panthers 3rd quarter
-
Plumlee is useless
-
Take a little more time on shots and we should be up by 12, GS not gonna shoot this bad all night
-
Yeah the head hitting the turf was the concussion part, the actual hit was right to the shoulder/ribs. Probably couldn't turn his neck or lift his arm the next day
-
Remember how giddy he was to let the Colts and Ravens coaches control the joint practices? He was like wow look real coaches!
-
If his shoulder is banged up too they're probably better off focusing on PJ to start. Since Fridays are walk throughs with this coaching staff for some reason it doesn't leave much time
-
Darnold only did warm ups so yeah unless Morgan was gonna take them
-
Unless they know for sure someone would pick him up off waivers they might as well bench him if they have to pay regardless. If someone wanted to pay the contract they could have gotten at least something in trade.
-
I think he's still owed/guaranteed about $15m for next year so would that be a part of the waiver claim?
-
So no team thought he was worth or couldn't afford trading/paying $15m a year for. The Saints were in on him but out of cap space

Darnold Concussed, Patriots Game Next Week, Sign Cam,
Jackie Lee replied to Kryptick's topic in Carolina Panthers
Delhomme is the closest thing to that, and he was a Saints backup/NFL Europe qb for for 5 years, then got a 2 year $4m contract with the Panthers to compete for a starting job. -
Hopefully XFL PJ shows up, I like the guy and he was fun to watch in the Detroit game last year aside from the 2 picks. He's had to come in the last two weeks on opposite sides of the garbage time spectrum so it's easy to forget he has the ability to ball. Definitely has more touch on his ball than Darnold at the least, will be interesting to see if the drop numbers go down dramatically
-
Either way Brady is not the long term solution, whether he gets the boot or he takes the LSU job. He got two paid years to learn on the job and we get to start from scratch on OC again. Doesn't make much sense for a "rebuild"

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt
Jackie Lee replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly he gave up and started watching the play while Sam was still behind him. This is usually a problem for WR's blocking not your LT -
Jake Fromm from their practice squad? Seems dumb. And what's Washington getting out of trading for a 9 game rental? Trubisky is a FA next year. Also seems dumb unless it's a player for player trade that the Bills can't refuse

Talk to me about the Patriots, what do you know?
Jackie Lee replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds like we should run it until it doesn't work. In a must-win game, New England’s defense pulled this team to a victory. Matthew Judon (nine pressures, 1.5 quarterback sacks) made Justin Herbert uncomfortable and it likely played a role in Adrian Phillips’ revenge pick-six. The Patriots allowed 143 rushing yards on 14 attempts to Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson, resulting in the fifth game this season that New England allowed 120-plus rushing yards, something to keep in mind moving forward. -
Matt Nagy was out with Covid and Fields looked like the real deal. Oh well I guess we're a defensive team or something now
