  1. Darnold only did warm ups so yeah unless Morgan was gonna take them
  2. Unless they know for sure someone would pick him up off waivers they might as well bench him if they have to pay regardless. If someone wanted to pay the contract they could have gotten at least something in trade.
  3. I think he's still owed/guaranteed about $15m for next year so would that be a part of the waiver claim?
  4. So no team thought he was worth or couldn't afford trading/paying $15m a year for. The Saints were in on him but out of cap space
  5. Delhomme is the closest thing to that, and he was a Saints backup/NFL Europe qb for for 5 years, then got a 2 year $4m contract with the Panthers to compete for a starting job.
  6. Hopefully XFL PJ shows up, I like the guy and he was fun to watch in the Detroit game last year aside from the 2 picks. He's had to come in the last two weeks on opposite sides of the garbage time spectrum so it's easy to forget he has the ability to ball. Definitely has more touch on his ball than Darnold at the least, will be interesting to see if the drop numbers go down dramatically
  7. Well James Morgan is protected on the practice squad today so more than likely he's getting activated as PJ's backup. He's basically Sam without the scramble/running ability so he's probably fuged if he has to play
  8. Either way Brady is not the long term solution, whether he gets the boot or he takes the LSU job. He got two paid years to learn on the job and we get to start from scratch on OC again. Doesn't make much sense for a "rebuild"
  9. Exactly he gave up and started watching the play while Sam was still behind him. This is usually a problem for WR's blocking not your LT
  10. Boring, straight up scout team arm. I guess James Morgan will be activated if Sam's still out.
  11. Jake Fromm from their practice squad? Seems dumb. And what's Washington getting out of trading for a 9 game rental? Trubisky is a FA next year. Also seems dumb unless it's a player for player trade that the Bills can't refuse
  12. Sounds like we should run it until it doesn't work. In a must-win game, New England’s defense pulled this team to a victory. Matthew Judon (nine pressures, 1.5 quarterback sacks) made Justin Herbert uncomfortable and it likely played a role in Adrian Phillips’ revenge pick-six. The Patriots allowed 143 rushing yards on 14 attempts to Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson, resulting in the fifth game this season that New England allowed 120-plus rushing yards, something to keep in mind moving forward.
  13. Matt Nagy was out with Covid and Fields looked like the real deal. Oh well I guess we're a defensive team or something now
  14. Why would they trade their starter quality backup QB when they're playoff bound? I'm pretty sure He'd prefer to stay and cash in next year
  15. PJ looked like he actually had some touch on the ball in his one start last year with a full week of starting reps. I think he had a couple picks but I don't think any guy off another teams practice squad is gonna do much better on such short notice. They have to get somebody in as a backup/scout team qb either way but I wouldn't trade for anyone except Minshew. Trubisky is probably happy to be the backup on a playoff team for this year
  16. Abdullah was a great signing, really liked the up tempo dual rb threat with Chuba. Solid 2 running back rotation for under $2 million. 49ers and Bears have been doing the same thing with cheap backups/rookies
  17. The game would sell out so Tepper probably would be down after seeing the lack of fan excitement around the current roster
  18. Abdullah is a baller not sure why he's always been relegated to special teams and was let go by the Vikings. I kinda like the idea of splitting carries at RB, maybe CMC can work the slot more when he comes back or something to keep these guys on the field
  19. Who knew splitting RB carries with an O-line that's better at run blocking than pass blocking when you have a good defense can win games? Obviously we got work to do when we get behind in games but we could have won the Eagles and Giants games with this game plan.
  20. If Moores catch was incomplete, Robby's should have been defenseless receiver automatic first down. Moore had two feet inbounds, i've seen guys take two steps and throw the ball in the air to celebrate the TD
  21. Or Siemian, even the Cowboys backup looks like an average run of the mill game manager. I'm still wondering even after the run game was working, why every pass play we call has safeties head hunting the receivers? Like already in position to maul the guys. Still dunno if the run game was masking Sam's decisions or Brady's limited pass routes
  22. I think Mike Breen said Lamelo actually did have a cold last week, looks like he's almost back to normal
  23. Yup, Plumlee just doesn't seem like a good fit. Not a bad deal picking him up but if he's not a willing blocker/rebounder what's the point of having someone that big and slow out there? Stands around the rim too much avoiding fouls/waiting for rebounds to fall his way
