So he changed the lie but still didn't bother to correct the actual grammatical error? I really don't get how he's survived through like 500 ESPN layoffs
-
This staff sucks. Robinson already looked ready to go in the preseason games. They cut him, put him on the practice squad etc and it's a situation where he looks good because they finally actually let him play. Should have been in Chinns role all year and Chinn should have been up beside Shaq and Luvu. I feel like they've been waiting to make these obvious moves until after the season so they can claim their coaching over the offseason as the reason for any potential improving when in reality they're just making bad evaluations

Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season
Jackie Lee replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
No one wants a Darnold jersey? I wouldn't be surprised if CMC is asking to go to the Chargers or Broncos, pretty much the only attractive options for him that have the cap space -
Panthers taking offers for Cmac in the off-season

With the contract and the injury history what's he worth? A 2nd from maybe the Chargers, they're pretty much the only young playoff caliber team with cap space. -
Steve Smith weighs in on Panthers situation
Jackie Lee replied to Cary Kollins's topic in Carolina Panthers
Probably Gilmore and Reddick are the more obvious FA guys that will be interesting to see what they decide to do. Luvu will be interesting because I think he'll probably get decent offers from other teams. Pretty much everyone else is under contract/rookies/or jags -
Steve Smith weighs in on Panthers situation
Jackie Lee replied to Cary Kollins's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean he signed a 3 year Hurney contract, then Rhule/Fitt cut him before this past draft even happened. He owes nada to Rhule. It is surprising since he's usually super optimistic, I imagine there's quite a few guys feeling like they're wasting their prime years in this failed experiment -
I highly doubt they're used to anyone paying attention to their press conferences coming from Baylor/Temple. Rhule is the worst at it, whether it's completely lying or just wording things in a super cringe-worthy way

Its the Rhule culture, they take all the credit when good, none of the blame/tons of excuses when bad. Has rubbed off on the players too according to those post game pressers

"FIRE RHULE" CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP
Jackie Lee replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah that would be best case scenario if Rhule is around, but would he even want to return in that situation knowing the writing is on the wall? That scenario basically reduces him to an overweight cheerleader who doesn't know how to manage time outs, a far cry from the initial goal of him being some genius program builder who brought in his whole crew to turn another bad team around. -
Matt Rhule Got to Hand Pick 2 QB's...Will There Be a 3rd**

Couldn't even pick a long snapper that could make it through preseason, he liked him for being "just like a regular guy" -
Trading Back -- What It Might Look Like
Jackie Lee replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is really unfortunate we didn't get to see more of BC and Deonte Brown, we dunno what we already have. If we take best LT available i'm not convinced BC is a guard, if we move back and can grab like an Ikem around 10-15, guard in rnd 2 then you have some flexibility and may have everything figured out and just pray Elf looks better with competent guards around him. I like linderbaum but I think he'd struggle playing as a rookie in between Jordan/Miller -
I like the Ikem pick, we need some attitude on the line, too many soft guys. Moton gets by with great technique but I miss having Norwell style guys wanting to destroy guys at guard. With Ikem and if they actually play Deonte Brown, we're already much improved. My theory is Rhule knows Deonte is better than Miller/Jordan but his ego won't let him make the change until the offseason so he can say he needed next camp to truly get him prepared. That and he's trying to used car salesman his way into justifying these bad OL FA contracts
-
Oof so 4 of our worst offensive players are they guys that Rhule is won't budge on, but BC he still isn't sure if LT is where he's gonna stay. Tepper has to at the least force the hire of NFL coordinators that can take over head coaching during next years bye. Rhule will know what's going down if that happens and he can either suck it up or bail before camp starts
-
Yup, I don't think we'll have to jump that far back but agree with the overall sentiment. I wish we'd seen more of BC at this point but since the whole interior is a glaring issue I'd like to trade back and go G/C or C/G back to back and get it over with. None of these guys can be worse than Jordan/Miller, and they'll have some level of motivation/excitement to actually at least try to show some effort one would think. I'm not sure I can think of another coach we've had that would keep these guards out there this many horrible games in a row, I guess Rhule is just that stubborn because he chose them and doesn't want to admit failed evaluation

Ellis Williams (Observer) offense analysis
Jackie Lee replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's the incompetent in game play calling that is like coaching for dummies level stuff, for all that have been involved. Problem is Rhule doesn't have any experience to share with these guys so they're just learning on the job just like him. Obviously starting with Brady's playbook of Sean Paytons preseason sheets doesn't help either especially playing in the same division -
Ellis Williams (Observer) offense analysis
Jackie Lee replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yup, although earlier in the season they were trying play action every down but not actually ever running the ball, which is not how you succeed in keeping the defense guessing. Ellis could probably call a better game than Rhules staff -
In mock draft simulators at least, you can trade back 3-5 spots and pick up at least a 2nd and another 4th to use to move back up to the 3rd. Doing mocks with just the 1st and then nothing til round 4 is looking really ugly in this draft. I'd rather move back a little bit, grab the C and take the best guard in round 2, there should be a few guys def better than Miller/Jordan

Because the OL coach is his next scapegoat? Gone next Monday?

Tre was like the most optimistic player ever on our roster and he's over it

Shocking passing statistics for the 2021 Panthers.
Jackie Lee replied to SCO96's topic in Carolina Panthers
Didn't the drops seem to go down when PJ/Cam were playing? -
I don't get it, they just threw Michael Jordan out there as a starter as soon as he go here with no offseason experience with the playbook. Chuba got nearly every touch in the preseason, but some other guys like BC, Shi, Deonte have done nothing wrong and can't sniff the field. It's gotta be some mental complex for Rhule, that's how he convinced people to hire him as a coach in the first place but it's also why he can't let whatever trivial poo go and let the best guys play because he'll look like he was wrong
-
For real. Theres college film breakdown on him where his biggest weaknesses are the bull rush and looking real stiff on inside run plays. The Ras stuff doesn't mean a guy isn't stiff/clumsy when squeezed in beside other guys, and I really doubt he can pull like a true guard. Rhule shouldn't be making roster decisions
