  1. If you look at his Wiki he's had a handful of legal issues that probably turn teams off at that level of responsibility. Nothing major but weird hothead stuff. I think Watson working with the OC and Flores head coaching and working with Wilks on the defense would be a great situation as far as football goes
  2. I didn't hear of any position coach hirings today so I think it's his day off
  3. Bieniemy might be a stretch as this point. But it has the makings of Mcadoo at OC, Wilks could take over DC from Snow, and either of those two or Tabor/even Watson's old QB coach Ryan could assume HC duties and just run an actual NFL program
  4. Copy and paste the actual URL and people can click on the twitter link instead of a screenshot
  5. Yeah, people are acting like the ball is in Watson's court now that he can do a couple team interviews. The Texans can still refuse the trade until both sides eventually compromise.
  6. If they took on Burns and Derrick Brown they kinda break even cap wise. They probably want 1 of those and Chinn because that would save multiple millions
  7. Darnold and 2 D players pretty much breaks them even on cap space getting rid of Watson, but if they think they can extend the young defensive guys they might be willing to eat the Darnold money this year and have him and Davis Mills battle it out in camp. Also the extra 1st round picks help if they're trying to tank this year anyway
  8. What about the whole Watson no trade clause thing? They wouldn't have the power to do that trade or they would have done it last year
  9. If we'd taken Trey Smith over the long snapper and played Deonte Brown enough to know he's legit, we might actually have a mid tier O-line with Campen coaching them up. Another short term Rhule mistake that mucks up the long term vision.
  10. A quick Twitter look shows he gets like 5 or 6 like on his usual tweets so I believe he's a grifter
  11. I think either Watson agrees to the trade if they fire Rhule, or Tepper fires Rhule because Watson won't agree to the trade because of Rhule and we actually get a good coach and rebuild. I see a win/win
  12. Tepper will offer Watson his pick of HC for 23' if they have a one on one meeting, he owes nothing to Rhule and doesn't care about buying out Rhules contract if he can win games and profit from 5-10 years of full stadium sales
  13. Thomas/Kamara vs Moore/CMC is almost a wash depending on injuries. Saints new HC was a failure and Rhule obviously sucks so who knows. Saints were better overall but they might not be roster wise in like a week. Brainfug
  14. But does the Saints interest drop if it's no longer immediately becoming the front runner for the division/driving the price up on the Panthers?
  15. Imagine Rhule trying to sell Pickett to Tepper if Watson goes to the Saints, at least we'll get an actual rebuild. The one thing I'm thinking that would give pause is the Saints reassigned a former shitty HC, but kept the long term OC who we really don't know how much input he had under Payton. For Watson I'd think it's obvious Rhule sucks and the Saints are a gamble, but Tepper may offer him more long term control.
  16. Yeah I'm sure he's factoring in the division talent. Imagine if we'd drafted Trey Smith instead of the Long Snapper last year and Deonte Brown had gotten more playing time to show he's legit. Those positions would be good selling points but are instead question marks thanks to Rhule
  17. In an ideal world, Watson basically did nothing too fuged up to these ladies, he gets to talk to Tepper and tells him if Rhule can't get his poo together he gets input on the next HC for 2023 and we can sign some decent FA's next year to take over the division. Worst case scenario Saints get Watson, we draft Kenny Pickett and we basically all stop watching Panthers games for a few years. I think Tepper is losing patience and going ham behind the scenes
  18. Haha great for the ignore button. A bunch of these new accounts will probably become inactive if the trade doesn't go through anyway
  19. Last I heard, Rhule mentioned wanting to reteach TMJ his gait so he can stay healthy. Pretty sure that means he's never going to be fully healthy and Rhule is going to somehow make his gait worse than it already is
  20. Yeah from a business standpoint I'm thinking Tepper is willing to gamble, even if it involves him under the table telling Watson he can be involved in the HC decision after this year if Rhule continues to flop. It's such a weird balance of success/profit/unknowing of the civil trials but it's definitely like some movie Any Given Sunday type poo with some subject matter changed
  21. Even though he's cleared on the criminal stuff for now, Tepper is really taking a gamble on when Watson actually has to speak in the civil cases and will probably have to go into graphic detail about whatever went down. And then you want to fill up the stadiums and market him to kids somehow to sell jersey's or whatever. That's the dark poo capitalist approach that's keeping me in disarray. Tepper's probably hoping winning games or some other scandal distracts people eventually. I'm not religious or conservative at all but that's some weird poo for parents to explain why the QB was in lawsuits for like 2 years
  22. So he could say he'll go to the 9ers or Steelers or something as his 1 team if the Texans ok it? Otherwise he has veto power until the Texans cave on a mutual situation?
  23. Who is this source reporting he'll waive it? Rhule telling Tepper that so he won't get fired? Oh yeah me and Watson, great pals go way back
