I mean Deonte Brown is around, who know's if they'll actually give him a chance but everyone notices the shift to a more professional approach of how to put together a decent roster the last couple days. At least these new vets can tell the coaches what question marks are performing up to par or not

Can we talk about Fitterer and the off-season so far

I'm so glad the position flexibility era seems to be coming to an end. Just get pro's that are good at what they do, and draft guys that are good at their position and play them there -
Kenny Pickett > Malik Willis (at least for us)

Yes Matt Rhule is literally worthless if he can't do some semblance of this. What exact job responsibilities is he left with if he doesn't? Poorly managing time outs and giving shitty press conferences isn't gonna cut it -
I think we're set up perfect for that scenario aside from Rhule trying to save his job. Fitt basically just saved his own job with these FA signings and I'm worried Rhule is gonna muck the QB situation up somehow in panic mode
-
Take away the Rhule factor and Cam would easily beat out Sam and PJ in a training camp scenario
-
Incentive based. Ok maybe $6M with incentives up to $10-15M if he's the starter/playoffs etc. Teddy just got $6.5M with incentives up to $10M for Miami so that's kinda more realistically what I'm thinking the market value is for the situation
-
He can also read the Defense pre-snap which was a Mcadoo trait when he did well with Eli. Sam has no clue what's going on, Baker is questionable and Rhule shouldn't be able to trade anymore draft picks for another gamble. Plus all these FA's we just signed probably all know and love Cam and know he'll bring the juice at all times good or bad
-
Dunno how much cap space we have left, but if he would take a $10M-ish deal with incentives up to another $10M if he's the starter, with a whole offseason to learn the playbook with an upgraded O-line, it should be a no brainer for both sides. They're obviously finally building a QB friendly team through FA, hard to tell if it's to bring in a vet or draft a guy at this point

Yeah Snow had some clue of the kind of players that he could work with. fuging Joe Brady and Rhule telling Fitt who to target for offense was dead on arrival. I think this year Fitt was like I'm not risking my career on this BS again lol -

I mean that's college coach speak, and why wouldn't he speak highly of one of his guys? NFL staffs are probably like yeah that's nice and everything but we see these flaws that don't translate to having a 10-15 year starter -
Cam's probably taking a look at these O-line signings and that's gotta be more attractive than whatever Seattle is piecing together. If CMC is healthy and Foreman can do the short yardage stuff I'd definitely be happy w 2018 checkdown/Occasional deep shot/RPO Cam. I think his biggest physical loss at this age is the scrambling in the pocket.

So a few games in if things aren't going well in game, he's gonna be like "What do you guys think I should do differently?". At what point is he just a sideline cheerleader/water boy without delivering the water? Even if we start winning some games I can't listen to any more Matt Rhule post game pressers or my head may explode. -
So he's anticipating the civil cases looking bad and getting a suspension. He better throw Case Keenum some extra cash on the side for covering his ass for multiple games

Just got home from work. Anybody know how it's going over on the Falcons message board? Probably not good

With his restructure his 2023 dead cap just went from $3M to almost $10M, so cutting him would be kinda eh. Maybe they'll try to add another year on or something in the future
-
So we got $40M tied up in DJ and Robby next year
-
This is so much better than waiting on Watson tweets like the Falcons and Saints boards are still doing. Saints fans are like just fuging sign Winston already and move on
-
Damien Wilson will probably play alot of special teams, but I'm pretty sure he's specifically good in the run game, just a liability in coverage because he's like 6' 260lbs
-
I'm sure ATL will work some kind of magic to get better at WR, but for now double team Pitts and I think that pretty much covers their offense
-
Yeah, whatever he gets Donte is getting less than that for sure
-
Yeah gotta see what happens with Rasul as well. Eli Apple just got 1 year $4M and they basically had the same stats
-
Donte is ranked around 10th FA CB left, and these guys ahead of him are only getting like $6-10M a year. Maybe not the best year to be a FA CB, especially coming off injuries last couple years
