Really taking this minicamp seriously over there
-
The attraction would be maybe some actual TD passes on top of those INT's as opposed to Darnold just int's and fumbles. Not saying I want Baker but at least there would be the occasional exciting pass. Baker 92 td-56 int Sam 54 td-52 int (2nd most since 2018)

Rhules end of year exit interview
-
He also apparently showed up to a game with a full beard, shaved into a handlebar mustache before the game, and then shaved that off before his post game press conference? Just immature bs sounds like. Also watching over some Browns fans youtube stuff he sucks whenever teams force him into traditional pocket passing situations, he's accurate but throws into bad situations constantly. Defenses pretty much know his game by now and unless he can scramble or stay in play action he's a liability

Kunkel is still in the doghouse after that stunt last week.

Josina out here stirring up some rumors on her IG page josinaanderson 1–on-1 with #Browns WR Amari Cooper just after he came off the field from the first day of mandatory camp today. Cooper has the challenge of adapting to Deshaun Watson and Jacoby Brissett at the same time and being ready for whatever this season brings. The 4x Pro-Bowler is also embracing his statesman role among the younger receivers here. Interesting to see if Cleveland adds another WR to the group—say like Robbie Anderson in a potential trade. Just a thought. Not a report.

Matt Rhule saying guys are getting minicamp off because they played a lot of snaps last year lol.
-
No we have about $25M right now and we're negative $35M in cap next year. We should roll it over but we'll end up extending Robby and Shaq until 2030 or something to get under next years cap. Negative $35M in cap with only Corral on the QB roster next year. Whatever QB we sign is gonna get 90% of their year one money in bonus
-
Would make sense, QB's didn't impress today, if they're gonna get him might as well do it now and he can get a day of minicamp in before the break. Better not be for more than that $6M number they were floating around
-
Yeah I just mean from a media coverage standpoint. I guess Tepper or Rhule are still being uptight about it, like they have some genius play calls they don't want the world to see
-
Pretty drab first minicamp huh
-
Starting off nice and weak

Yup and by adding a guy that doesn't need coaching. That's also why he wants Jimmy G or whoever, it would make it look like there was some amount of "progress" in his "process". In reality it's just Rhule saying a lot of words and hoping the players make him look good. We're already $30-35M over the cap next year, not sure why adding another $5M or so to help Rhule keep his job is a plus. Just delays the inevitable of him getting fired
-
Yeah anyone saying he can or is improving as a HC aren't factoring in actual in game football coaching ability. They're like "oh he let the GM actually do his job he's improving!" Wait til he blows some crucial time outs or refuses to play the best players, that's pretty much all he has control over and he'll still be bad at it.

Even watching those 2019 black and blue review docs on youtube, I miss having a functional staff even though they couldn't get it done with Kyle Allen thrown into action. I'd take Rivera over Rhule as my boss/manager at any job any day of the week. That's just from a respect of the human standpoint, I don't like door to door/used car salesmen types. If we're going grifters I'd take Better Call Saul over Rhule
-
That just proves there is no "process" and it's literally Rhule just saying lots of words and hoping the team just plays well despite him probably doing more harm than good. They wanted Sam, and traded up to draft Corral, time to coach. In my ideal world Rhule and Sam would get like 5 games together, if we suck they both get fired/benched and the interim HC and Corral get to give us an idea of what we actually have going on for the rest of the season.

Dunno, a say in who plays QB? Ball is in his court since they owe him another $19M either way. Or maybe he just doesn't wanna play after he cashed in after that hold out last year.
