His pre-draft interviews were super bland as well, he said things like "he's not obsessed with football" and "doesn't need football to make me feel worthy as a person". I understand where he was going on a certain level but most of these young dudes fighting for roster spots don't have that luxury

Panthers Fan 69 failed an intelligence test?
-
Yeah both teams had pretty bland drafts position wise
-
Best part of our preseason is Rhule has to play Corral and Sam at some point. If it's anywhere near even he's gonna get a lot of pressure about the #2 spot
-
Not sure if the Raiders are ready for week 1 or if the Jags are ready to pick #1 again
-
Yeah and Stidham looks better than Sam
-
Yeah the neck isn't supposed to bend that way
-
Abdullah looking the same, surprised he floats around the league so much
-
There he goes spoke too soon as always
-
Travon Walker not really giving off #1 pick vibes
-
Interesting playing Josh Jacobs with his injury history

8:40 kickoff

Alright rain delay

Tevor's not playing, Not sure about Carr. Adams is supposed to. Jarett Stidham vs CJ Beathard, actually both decent backups. I suppose both teams have new coaches but I doubt they show much as far as playbooks go
-
Jags and Raiders are probably the least interesting teams they could have picked. Not even really any interesting rookies to check out, maybe some random UDFA's will do something

He's not gonna let limited reps get in the way of him being prepared if someone goes down with an injury. He wants to be prepared to take the job first chance he gets
-
How about the possibility he serves 6 games, and then plays a couple while waiting for the court verdict, and then gets the full year suspension and sits again?

An actual glimpse of insight from Newton While not playing favorites, Corbett said the energy Mayfield brings is "truly unmatched." "A true love of competition that he pours out into everything," he said. "He beats himself up over minor mistakes." Darnold, Corbett said, is more laid back. He seldom seems upset.

Baker Mayfield vs. Sam Darnold, Day 7:
Jackie Lee replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Renfrow gets YAC, Saunders from what i've seen goes out of bounds or plays tag football -
Yeah the NFLPA going from an idea of unionizing and protecting players health and whatever to better call saul defense lawyers is pretty lame. They should have their own internal guidelines of how to handle misconduct before it even gets to this level of representing guys. At least like "this is out of our bounds, good luck explaining your weird personal poo in court"

The NFLPA accepted 6 games, if Goodell extends it to a year or whatever they will sue and a federal judge will determine if he can play or not until the court case is finished. Watson has to decide if he wants to sue and play until the court decision and prolong the suspension or just suck it up and sit. Look at the Zeke case, he got 6 games, sued, played til week 10 and then had to sit the next 6 after the court decision. Goodell might put him on the exempt list and Watson can sue again to play until the court date depending on how the Browns want to handle it

More of the same, Mayfield trying to make plays to win and Darnold playing it safe with check downs and short runs. Maybe if Higgins was getting #3 reps instead of Saunders things would look differently. I know they're fluffing the guy up but a 5'10" 190lb guy running a 4.7 isn't going to scare an NFL defense in a real game. One of those Rhuleisms
