I'd say it being the last weekend of regular season college ball, I'd imagine at least the scouts would have a pretty solid idea which way they're leaning QB wise. Obviously they hand that over and then there's the combine and visits etc, but everyone except Stroud is finishing up their last weekend of college ball.

There's a whole side game of smoke screens and influencing other teams to reach for someone/have someone fall to them. I'm not buying anything sourced from teams pre draft

Also on the flip side there have been plenty of "safe" "pro style offense/NFL ready" guys that completely busted. Fine in college but couldn't handle NFL pressure.

Lots of guys took a little time or sat for their first year. I think the fan stress is on the 3 year QB carousel and the Corral injury that negated his whole rookie year growth. That's obviously a whole other topic.

Yeah in regards to the OP, I haven't seen him mocked to the first. I've just been grabbing him in the 2nd or 3rd because we need to take another swing at TE. The Bama TE is interesting as well

Yeah I haven't watched much tape but he's basically an extra OT as well. I doubt that Georgia offense would be coasting along without that extra QB/RB protection. Could be too gimmicky for the NFL at the end of the day

Also remember the Cowboys tried to trade up for Paxton Lynch and Connor Cook before getting Dak in the 4th round. Never know what you might get out of Cam Ward/Penix/Hooker/McCall. Truly a gamble to know how any of these guys translate to a pro style system with decent coaching

Yeah I guess Lamar averaging close to 23 passing td's a year to Jones at about 10 a year is somehow negatively affected by Lamar averaging 5 rushing TDs a year to Jone's 2.5, because running is bad
