Even after the Darnold trade, still take Fields, suck up the stupid trade and all would have been forgiven. But no they had to double down and pickup his 5th year option before he even threw a football in front of the staff. Why would you want to undo anything that would have potentially delayed his inevitable firing? He wasn't it, giving him a redo on any number of mistakes wouldn't fix that he sucks at coaching

Just realized its Bucs Saints tonight on MNF. I think whether you want to win the division, or get a higher draft pick you want the Saints to win this one.

He's not gonna play because of that draft pick, it's past the trade deadline but maybe there's a team dealing with injuries that asked for a favor in return for an IOU. Plus it's probably awkward in the QB room for no good reason

If they bench the guy they gave up 2 1st's and 2 2nd's for, then gave him $125M guaranteed then the GM gets fired. Either way the team is stuck with Wilson til 2025 at the earliest from that horrible contract
