I don't exactly understand this hypothetical mock trade but DO IT. We send Bryce to Miami for some made up compensation/pick swap whatever scenario, and we draft Cam Ward! Obviously if Miami was above us at pick 7 they would just take Ward lol.

What I like is he's a 4 year starter, even his 2020 rookie year he started 6 games. Every year he's moved to a bigger stage, this year they haven't had much equal competition, but he put up very solid numbers at Washington State where they were probably often on the other end of that spectrum talent wise. I think he'd beat out Bryce no problem in camp, I'd sit him for a while behind Dalton, maybe bring him in on certain packages to get his feet wet, he's not a run first guy but he's got a decent amount of rushing td's to show he can do it when called upon.

I mean it will probably take 3 years for Dalton's arm strength to reach Bryce's level at the earliest. I don't recall people saying his arm has been shot at any point

He's already getting $8.6M this year as it stands, trading him would have the other team paying for his last 7 games which we would probably just break even with signing a guy to replace him. It frees up that $475k the trading team would be paying for.
