  1. Yeah I think that contributed to at least some of the drops last year. Waiting too long to make a throwing decision and then throwing a rocket to compensate being a split second behind, if they were caught there were plenty of hospital balls. I think Corral on the other hand is the complete opposite and gets the ball out too quick, which will be a nice problem to have if we get to see it. Much easier to settle down a young guy than try to speed up someones actual brain processing speed
  2. That lasted about 3 weeks into the regular season. I remember Chris Simms mentioning us running the same play 6 times in a drive or in a game or something, which is fine if it's working but it wasn't...It's like watching those 8 yard comeback routes over and over again, I guess that seemed like the safest throw to avoid an interception until Trevon Diggs caught on in week 4
  3. His cap hit this year is $38M, bet they're hoping Malik is ready next year when they can realistically move on cap wise.
  4. Not seeing all the hype people are automatically throwing at the next QB class. 194 pound Bryce Young, another Ohio State qb, then some other guys? Spencer Rattler was QB1 this time last year
  5. I think we may be at grounds for a ban, I've had this idiot ignored for months but people keep quoting them. Waste of brain cells
  6. Yup, he literally couldn't fire Rhule last season due to lack of actual qualified guys on the staff. Now he's got at least 3 that would probably be immediate improvements. I think he's set himself up to speed up Rhules NFL HC ability with a more experience staff, and if it's still not working he can cut bait. He obviously doesn't want to admit he picked the wrong HC but the short term sting to his pride he's gonna have to just deal with at some point. Not a good look to hide from the press for another 2 year period when he was all over the place dancing and hanging out at tailgates when he first arrived
  7. In that draft video seeing Wilks welcome Ickey to the building, that was real poo. Not like ooh look at the shiny new toy stuff, like really happy for the guy even though he's on the other side of the ball. If anything Wilks should be giving the half time speeches asap. Can't imagine sitting in there listening to Rhule yap away about DBO's and brands with no actual game adjustments to offer
  8. McAdoo is already in his tough love mode, understanding why his skills didn't translate to HC. Seems good with actual QB technique, football field stuff, don't think many guys are running to his office for personal advice. If we're going for this Rhule style rah rah coach Wilks is definitely the best guy in the building. I'm sure he took away whatever useable knowledge he could from the Arizona job, doesn't seem to be the kind of guy that would just disregard the whole situation as a waste of time or anything.
  9. We just drafted a young guy that also relies on lot's of play action, might as well play him instead of taking on this guy. After his odd OTA pressers this isn't exactly the kinda guy you want in an already rocky organization.
  10. Another situation where if CJ flashes this year we either have to pick up his 5th year option already or extend him not knowing if his 2022 season was just a flash in the pan or not. Also will have to figure out Derrick Brown and Jeremy Chinn's deals at the same time. Would have rather taken one the LB's available in the 3rd this year and had them on cheap deals through 2026 if we were really looking at a proper build. Can't really go all in with these gamble trades in year 2 and pretend like you have some long term vision.
  11. He's still in year 3 of his contract, I doubt even if he plays well next year they'll think he's worth the 5th year option for that high of a pick. He might pick things up and play well, just seems essentially like a 2 year rental. For reference Jags took LB Chad Muma with our 3rd round pick, and Nakobe Dean was also still available, those both seem like better long term investments for your "brand/process"
  12. Plus she posts really weird close up photos of food daily, had to unfollow
  13. At least we have a competent O-line coach this year, if Rhule allows him to do his job
  14. I think the reasoning is that Ickey is a better LT and LG than Christensen, who is not the 2nd round Guard that Rhule claimed him to be, so this combo gets us average instead of good on the left side. If that's the case I'd rather just play Deonte at guard, Ickey at LT, and let BC be backup swing tackle. At least they aren't even mentioning Cam Erving, that was a waste of money
  15. Teams already know what Sam and Baker are, might as well see if Corral can be better than them. Better than it remaining a question mark for another year. None of them really know McAdoo's playbook so that's not really an excuse for the "Vets" aside from having a taste of the real speed of the NFL. They've both gotten progressively worse so the experience isn't trending in their favor.
  16. Julio Jones was the only trade last June, Randall Cobb/Anthony Miller the only trades last July/first week of training camp. If we actually do get Baker in the middle of vacation before the Watson stuff is settled that'll be pretty fuging dumb.
  17. You also can't expect him to learn anything but bad habits sitting behind Darnold or Mayfield. Also people wanting him to have a year in the system,we might not even have the same coaching staff this time next year, he needs to at minimum get some meaningful minutes to get a taste of what it's really like on the field. Not 2 minutes of garbage time at the end of a blowout type minutes, starting or replacing a QB in a close game minutes
  18. Sucks it's primarily on Teppers ego to not admit that he just fuged up with the initial coaching hire. Took no time to fire the Soccer coach though. Don't get it
  19. I'm coming back around to "Play the guy you traded for, and if he sucks, play the guy you traded up to draft" mentality. The coaches need to own the situation they put themselves in.
  20. The Seahawks have Geno Smith and Drew Lock for a total of about $5M. If we pay Sam and Baker a total of $30M to keep Corral on the bench all season long we're truly being run by some complete morons. One over payed future backup is enough for this season, they'll both walk next year anyway and we'll be once again over paying another journeyman in 2023. I hate that Rhule already mentioned keeping 3 qb's on the 53 man roster, and I bet he also probably wants PJ on practice squad
  21. He sucked in 2019 when mostly healthy so that's kinda part of the issue when people are looking at a guy that's not cheap anymore
